I always though CP9 looked like the Black-Eyed Peas. (And someone's signature seemed to agree with me on that.)

Yhea, he was on Dexter's lab. The way they drew him there is what made me connect Satori to him.

this doesn't have much to do with looks, but I was thinking the other day, how usopp's charicter has a lot of similarities with screech, from saved by the bell. (I know this wasn't oda's insperation, just noting similarities)
both the geeky member of the group, yet apealing charicters in their own way
both cowardly
both are goofy looking/acting
both use their geeky talents to aid the group
both are comic relief to the series.

i read an interview where Oda said he liked to notice the minor characters and by-standers in the dragonball series. In an interview with both Oda and Toriyama, Oda was pwning Toriyama cause he knew the answers to questions directed towards the latter, that even he didn't know! Haha, Oda really knows his stuff when it comes to Dragonball, so him spoting the Luffy-look-alike is very possible.
Plus, Oda mentioned Eminem as one of his favorite artists. So the Eneru/Enimem link could be correct on some levels.

Not really. That straw-hat extra was used a few times, it's a pretty common little thing. Oda's stumped him with Tao Pai Pai, a character anyone but Toriyama can tell you isn't minor.
