I can officially say that I will no longer bitch about this game. Sakurai has added two characters I've wanted to see playable to the roster. The first was Ike and now Diddy Kong, who's probably one of the biggest worries I've had since Rumble Falls was revealed as a stage. I'm still concerned about whether or not Lucas or any Mother 3 characters will be playable but that's a discussion for another time.

I'm still hoping Petey Pirahna isn't playable after his appearance yesterday. What's so appealing about a pirahna plant that just pukes sludge and makes noises like a constipated walrus?

I guess this means Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise won't be Pokeball Pokemon anymore if they're going to be used by this playable Trainer guy.

This guy ranks as my second most wanted as far as who I want to play as when I get the game. (Metaknight being the first)

Now they just need a Pokey spider mech assist trophy. Just sayin'.

Actually it reflects them back at the opponent. That's how you beat Starman Jr. in Mother 1 and Carpainter in Mother 2/Earthbound. Mother 3, it's required for the first fight against the Masked Boy but he doesn't really use his lightning attack in battle to my knowledge but a rather nasty PSI attack instead.

Finally some actual clarification that the Mother series is still being represented in this game. Now I'll stop bitching now thank you. (Unless Diddy doesn't make it as a playable character)

Pit's Final Smash wins soley for the giant Palutena that appears when you launch the attack.

I'm calling it now: Metaknight's Final Smash summons Heavy Lobster.

Earthbound.

Basically a famed "dungeon builder" turned himself into a gigantic, walking dungeon. And probably the best dungeon in any game ever. It had a petting zoo!

Dungeon Man was also a riot to have as a temporary party member too. He had the Sergant Pepper's style music and everything. The only thing I hated was that you encountered those damned department store enemies while inside him. (That Scalding Coffee Cup still pisses me off to this day)

I was actually thinking the other day about how the Underworld theme would sound in the game. It sounds awesome. And to those complaining about the MIDI sound quality, yes it does sound bad, but I don't think theres any way in hell that what you hear on the website is going to be the what you hear in the actual game.

And what if it is? I don't really mind that much about the music anymore, I just want to focus on characters, stages, gameplay modes, and maybe the ATs. Although technically if that's supposed to be MIDI, then what does that make the music in Melee that isn't orchestrated? (Like the Yoshi's Story music, Onett's music, Hyrule Temple's music, ect.)

This sounds pretty on par with Melee's tracks. (Keep in mind, I'm not counting the orchestrated stuff in Melee such as the Legend of Zelda theme and the Fountain of Dreams music) If it's supposed to be MIDI then it's damn good MIDI. (Especially the Yoshi stage)

I'm kinda wondering why Sakurai promised a full orchestra with latin vocals and yet has to show case any song that lives up to that, myself. I can tell Shogo Sakai helped with this purely by how weird the ending part of the song (with the Game Over/Grim Reaper/whatever it is, I've never played Kid Icarus) sounds.

Geez, people say I complain too much about how so and so might not be playable in this game and then go on 2 page long rants about tiers and gameplay. (I agree though that this tier thing is bullshit)

As for Ike's moves: Eruption looks like it belongs on a Golden Sun character but I suppose it works for Ike as well. Aether as an Up+B just seems weird. The fact Ike could restore his health with it in PoR made it seem like it would be perfect for Final Smash use. I'm not a fan of him dropping suddenly to the ground like Kirby's Up+B but the idea that he can't flinch when he uses it is interesting enough.
