I just saw a clip of Brook's concert and I must say, I was expecting Bone to be Wild to have more of a 'rock' theme to it because of how it started in episode 515. But I guess its understandable that it had more of a soul jazz vibe since he IS the Soul King afterall.

the thing i find really funny and enjoyable is reading comments about people complaining about how few of chapters it covered

seriously i swear they only care how many chapters were covered and not that the episode was flawless in its pace. if the exact same material was lets say 3 chapters (think of bleach, less panals per chapter) the same people would be praising how awesome the episode was and how great it was that it covered 3 chapters.

There was not ONE time this episode that I ever had even a inkling of a thought as to "the pace is too slow" They could not have gone any faster. Going any faster would have only ruined it.

I'm still waiting for the revelation of new eyecatchers later, though these are fine… until they get boring after several times. The order isn't quite the same as how the crew appeared in the manga... but maybe it's the order that the crew appear in the anime (after the opening sequence)? I need to check.

Edit: Nope, but Zoro's still leading. #1 indeed.

Hi!, the episode was great, I liked the scene when Luffy looked at the wild animals of Ruskaina and they got intimidated, that scene vas very well drawn, and of course I liked the scene where Nami brought Ussopp closer to her breast as well xp, looking at some posts I didn't realize that the fake straw hats' voices were from the real ones, good catch, looking forward to the next episode =D

I'm a bit lateXD Let me say, my favorite part of the episode was Usopp's reaction to the fake Straw hats, was too funny. Every thing else was really good too, loved the opening that was just awesome!

Are you refering to the blue tinted spread in the opening when you say new one or did I somehow miss an actual fully colored one?

Take heart; obviously it's their not-so-subtle attempt to keep Jinbe in the background before unveiling his SH crew membership. As though we're gonna slap our faces and go, "Whoa, I never saw it coming!"

Yeah, it was so subtle I wasn't sure if I was imagining it or not. I'm sure Tanaka tries as hard as she could to make his voice deep but without overdoing it.

I really enjoyed this episode. At first I wasn't sure about We Go, but after I listened to it a few times it really grew on me. The episode it self was great. The animation was awesome. I loved the part with Nami and Usopp in the bar. I also liked the part with the fake straw hats. In the manga, these characters really annoyed me, but here I was cracking up laughing. The preview where we saw Zoro and Sanji's fakes had me dying. I really can't wait till Saturday for the next one.

We only have to wait 1 episode to see if they're going to keep it forever. Who knows what could happen with it though. Could be like Davy Back through most of Water 7, and we won't see for a while.
I'm already growing more accustomed to the more 'subtle' theme One Piece has going for it, even though One Piece is more of an in-your-face type of story. It's weird, but it's growing on me.

Oh, and simply not liking things doesn't put a person in some little elite club, news at 11.

Wow! Not sure why I like this opening so much!

Probably in my top 3 favorite openings.
Can't wait to hear the fandubs that come from this. Hopefully midiguy does this opening.

Animation was a let down in certain areas, but overall I liked it a lot.
Even though I have been reading the manga for a while, I still liked this episode so much.

Usopp paying (although not canon) for some reason added some coolness points to him.
I find it odd that they way over did the boob scene with Nami, and yet cut out the Sanji flip off.

The opening may seem corny, and the sunshine random, I still think it was very good.
Kitadani sounds so happy! The happiness in his voice makes up for the parts that sound off key.

PS. Why does brook sound so odd? Hopefully his voice goes back to normal when he is talking to Luffy and such.

And for that matter, wasn't this particular chapter longer than usual, too? It might have technically been only one chapter, but content-wise it was closer to two, as far as I can recall. So yeah, complaining about the pacing here really doesn't make a whole lot of sense.

I was just looking at teh chapter and saw that 5 whole pages in the chapter were not used this episode. They managed to use way less than a chapter and still had awesome pacing.

As one of those people, the episode was great (it never crossed my mind that I forgot to mention this) however we're anxious to see the crew back together again. It's nice they're in the same place, but it's such a tease having three chapters until they are back together.

I'm just impatient. I wish they had done an hour-long special tbh.

Doesn't make any sense. In the manga it would be implied the letters are printed backwards, AND on the wrong side of the board. Unless the board is transparent, which I doubt.

Pretty sure the boards are meant to be at least a bit transparent, otherwise they'd be blank from the back and we wouldn't see what they're holding up. In the episode, it looks like the fans are holding them the wrong way, in any case.
