[h=1]Bayonetta 2 reveal this week?[/h]
Platinum Games could be about to go public with a follow-up to its acclaimed action title Bayonetta, judging by a Tweet from director Hideki Kamiya. In response to a question from a follower as to when a sequel might be announced, Kamiya replied "This week… in a game magazine...", according to Andriasang's translation.
Of course, he could be pulling our legs, but with Tokyo Game Show kicking off in just over a fortnight, that timing doesn't sound too far-fetched.
This isn't the first we've head of a Bayonetta sequel. Last October, Platinum founder Atsushi Inaba said "We would love to make a sequel to it when the time is right". A month prior to that, when asked whether we could expect more from the franchise, Kamiya said "I believe so".
We've asked Sega for comment, and will update if a confession is forthcoming.

Would be so awesome. Loved the first. I'm kind of worried it's just her in Anarchy Reigns..
Pretty obvious he was jesting.
EDIT: He sure was, but all the gaming sites took it seriously and now everyone is pissed off that it was a "joke." LAWLS
The newest issue of PlayStation Magazine UK had some interesting tidbits in its rumor section. It states that Resident Evil 6 will be unveiled at TGS and, interestingly enough, Namco Bandai and Ninja Theory are gearing up for a sequel to Enslaved. I mean… Ninja Theory are still hard at work on DmC, and Enslaved did not sell well at all and the ending... kinda didn't leave room for a sequel... or rather nothing interesting to do with a sequel. But hey, it is a rumor mill for a reason.

Team Bondi (L.A. Noire) is now defunct following the mass controversy and investigation involving their work ethics. They were founded in 2003 and spent 7 years developing L.A. Noire, their first, only, and last game. Such a shame employees were put through such hell for a game that wasn't even that great.
Why do people keep teaming up with Ninja Theory?
I mean, COME ON

Any idea if this cancels LA Noir on PC?

So much for encouraging healthy eating habits, eh Cookie?
I heard they actually got rid of Cookie Monster and replaced him with some sort of Veggie Monster. Was this a bowl of lies I heard?
No I'm pretty sure that actually happened.
Well, according to Wikipedia, it's not true:
n 2006, in response to growing concerns about record levels of childhood obesity in the U.S.A., Sesame Street began airing segments titled Healthy Habits for Life. In these segments, the Muppet characters of Sesame Street talk about healthy habits, such as eating properly and exercising. The Healthy Habits for Life segments spawned Internet rumors that Cookie Monster's name had been changed to Veggie Monster or would be taken off the show entirely.[3][4] In a 2007 appearance on Martha Stewart's TV program, Cookie Monster explained his new philosophy that "Cookies are a sometimes food."
On February 10, 2008, NPR host Elizabeth Blair interviewed Cookie Monster for the All Things Considered segment In Character. He answered the Proust Questionnaire, as well as revealing some of his favorite and non-favorite things.[3][5]
In a June 19, 2008, appearance on The Colbert Report, Cookie Monster again explained that "Cookies are a sometimes food." He also attempted to eat Stephen Colbert's Peabody Award. Colbert had asked agitatedly why Cookie Monster had "abandoned the pro-cookie agenda" and thus caused fruit to become the favorite snack of American children, according to a study Colbert had heard. Colbert criticized Cookie Monster for not wearing a cookie lapel pin. Cookie Monster also claimed to have "crazy times during the '70s and '80s", referring to himself as "the Robert Downey, Jr. of cookies." After eating a cookie to prove he still likes cookies, Cookie Monster asked if the Peabody Award, a round medallion on a small pedestal, was a cookie.[6] When Colbert returned to speak to Cookie Monster at the end of the show, the award had disappeared and Cookie Monster was wiping his mouth with a napkin.[6]
On November 24, 2010, Cookie Monster started a Facebook page as part of a campaign to host Saturday Night Live.[7]

Oh god, I wish I had the time to solve that.

Oh. ….Then what's supposed to happen with this blank screen
EDIT Nevermind. I've figured it out! Going to have to get my mouse for this. Touchpad won't do.
Yeah…I don't think I would've found out the "Die or die" thing on my own since I wouldn't have guessed it was two of the same words.
So Crysis is being ported to XBLA and PSN. And it looks terrible.
It's XBLA and not retail? Who's genius idea was that?
Well it's a 4 year old game. I don't know though. Not like it makes a difference in quality besides maybe load times. I just bought it on PC though.

Those demons, gnomes, whatever they are, are hard to get. They keep moving so damn fast.
The highest score I got was 180 before I quit.
I wasn't going to get MGS: Rising, but after seeing this:
I think I'm obligated.

Where have you been? That's from the E3 2009 trailer.
Not paying attention to MGS:Rising is where I was. I've always wanted a game with accurate dismemberment so this is a must buy for me. It being related to MGS is a plus. I want more games to use its engine. Now I'm just hoping that the PC version is good.
The game was not even shown during the last E3. There are rumors that the game will be absent for TGS 2011. Raiden's VA was not even called. Moreover, the new team is not on great terms with Hideo Kojima.
I am personally more a fan of Solid Snake.
I got in a "debate" with a friend the other day over Rising being a true MGS game or not (I was saying it wasn't, but I still wanted to play it). It wasn't pretty.
Of course it's not a true MGS game. Doesn't mean it's not going to be awesome still, especially with the swordplay mechanics.
His argument is it is, because you can still stealth and go through the game without killing a single person, and that it tells a canonical chapter in the MGS universe.
Can you play the game stealthily? From what I've heard and seen it doesn't look like you can.
Apparently, you can, though it doesn't seem like the main mechanic. I mean, I guess if you put the difficulty low enough or were good enough, you could go through the MGS series guns blazing, but that's not the point of the series.
I loved the stealth option way more than going all-out Rambo. Nothing got me on the edge of my seat like MGS3 whenever I'd accidentally be laying awkwardly in the grass and the soldiers would walk RIGHT IN FRONT OF ME and I'm thinking "crap crap crap crap crap!" and knowing I can't move at all or they'd notice me.
Or the battle with The End. That one is way more rewarding with stealth.
Although the other option is quite amusing in itself, I guess.
There aren't enough good stealth games out there. I do hope though that you can play this game stealthily. I'll be chopping people up on my first playthrough at least though .
Okay, I now think Cliffy B. is a douche: http://www.destructoid.com/cliffy-b-upset-by-hateful-8-10-gears-of-war-3-reviews-211562.phtml
I've seen an article where the guy beat an entire chapter without shooting at all and I would dock a game some points for that. Games are starting to get way too scripted. Someone needs to draw the line somewhere.
I think more games should come out where you CAN play without shooting people. I humbly believe most games should allow a pacifist option.
It's not that it let you not shoot anyone, as in being a pacifist. It's you just sitting and letting your teammates do all the killing. I feel that those are totally different.

If Gears 2 got a 10, then the 3rd game should definitely get an 11.

No. Take your fucking great score and stop being a greedy bitch. (referring to Cliffy, not you)
This is awesome!

Just a little something about HL2:E3. I find it hilarious.
Could you recommend me a good detective/mystery game for PC? I really liked Call of Cthulhu especially when we had to go around and find clues and such. Fahrenheit was great to in that thing.
I mainly want it to take place in the past (i.e. CoCthulhu; 1920s~) but I don't mind the time period.
One more thing, I'm mainly looking for not-too-old games (no Dos and such). Like Call of Cthulhu… or Fahrenheit.
p.s.: Creepiness is always welcome. Like in Call of Cthulhu!
Amnesia is kind of like that though it's more horror than the ones you mentioned. The Penumbra series is also along the same lines. I wouldn't exactly call Fahrenheit a detective/mystery game though, unless you mean mystery as in the story is mysterious.

Already bought it. Already bought it and played it through. And yeah, I agree. I'll change the question a little: Are there any good games similar to these games? (CoC, Penumbra, Amnesia, Fahrenheit)
I think Clive Barker's Undying is kind of similar to CoC.

"I disagree. It's one thing to be spoiled, it's an entirely different thing to have worked your ass off and think that the final product is better than an 8/10. You, Jim, are the insipid one. Your "journalism" reeks of trollism and constant attempts of gaining attention. I wish to god Destructoid would get rid of you. You're the single worst game review on the mainstream web, in my opinion. Shut up."
I know this is his opinion but the sheer stupidity of this comment is bothering. It's obvious that the writer of the article is pointing out, that not only are companies getting arrogant and thinking their games deserve such and such scores but that Cliffy thinks that EuroGamer hates the game because the reviewer's opinion differ from his. God damn, I hate people who think this way.
I feel like playing Mount & Blade again and I could really use some recommendations for mods to try out. Anybody here got anything in mind? I don't want to play Prophesy of Pendor yet since its supposed to be really difficult. Some other mods that are either completed or close to completion/relatively bug free please?
There's no thread for iOS games, but guess what?
They're making a game for iOS called Layton Brothers. A murder-mystery solving game staring Layton's son, Alphendi:

I haven't finished Unwound Future yet! Nobody spoil me on anything!!
Wait! Layton had a son? I haven't played unwound future either. Also….he really doesn't look like his father.
We can only assume that he resembles his mother, then.
Or possibly the milkman.
