As long as this game have a crapload of characters (Pre and post timeskip), As well as an adventure-story mode, hey, I'm good to go!
One Piece: Musou/Pirate Warriors - PS3
-
-
It'll most likely have a versus mode. Why wouldn't it?
And why would anyone want to compare this game with Storm 2 in the first place?
i can compare it to any game i want. in my opinion storm 2 is perfect ANIME fighter.
bleach soul resurreccion didnt have a versus mode so thats why im hoping this does -
Oh one thing that could make me mad about this game is if the game has it's own story. I hated how the Wii games didn't follow the story at all, just made these flashback fights…
And Storm 2 is a perfect example of a good anime fighter, with the story, the boss fights, the characters, online, and stages. -
I had to look up what mosou was after going through this thread.
I liked that UA wasn't a cheap game with the same aspects of all other cheap anime games.
I think the scale, depth, and graphics were really up to par considering they had the weak Wii to work with.I do hope this game is decent.
-
About goddamn time we PS3 owners get a OP game.
prays that its a non-chibi style grand battle game
-
My dream OP game would be an AKSYS fighter like guilty gear or Blazblue. But that is only a dream.
Musou would work well, I mean the main characters destroy crowds of Fodder ALL THE TIME in OP. It only makes sense!
-
Finally a One Piece game for ps3 hope this comes out in america
-
Well, I certainly wasn't expecting this. Five days huh? Hope they'll give us some decent pieces of information and pictures. Too early for gameplay but hey, lets see what they have for us.
-
Awesome ps3 game aleluia remembers the ps3 is broken …....shit
Big fan DW series, dont know how they are going to do this perphaps will be similiar to wii game.
Anyway hope that there will be some footage soon. -
Hokuto Musou was a pretty good game for HnK fans. People shouldn't expect anime-based games to be a groundbreaker anyway.
This line of thinking is exactly why they stay that way, as well. Why can't anime-based games be fantastic? Comic-book based games were the same way then, boom, Arkham Asylum.

I just looked up some Famitsu reviews. Arkham Asylum got a 10/8/8/8, Dynasty Warriors Gundam 3 got a 9/9/8/8 and Dynasty Warriors 7 got a 9/9/9/9. So in Japan most people would like a Musou game just as much as Arkham Asylum, if not more so.
-
Yeah they're really popular in Japan. But you just KNOW the reviews if it came west.
4/5/4/6
'Another entry into the long running Warriors. This does nothing more than all of the others do.'
Just like DW7 XD Which I thought was the best one.
-
4/5/6's are very generous for a DW game. Japan just loves their repetitiveness, probably why they stopped innovating years ago.
-
So do you just wear that avatar ironically? Because Lollipop Chainsaw is a "repetitive" hack and slash by a Japanese developer. So either you do, or you're a huge hypocrite.
-
I love how you are swinging the ooh it's bad cause it's repetitive sword around, but gaming in general is repetitive. You're either gonna enjoy it or you're not, no use complaining about it. Get it if you're gonna get it, if not maybe you'll get something you'll like the next time they make a One Piece game.
-
Every Dynasty Warriors game I have ever played or set eyes on has worked exactly the same.
Mash the attack button repeatedly to swing your sword and kill hundreds of identical looking enemies.
At least this time we'll be mashing the attack button repeatedly to swing rubber arms to take down hundreds of identical looking marines, right?
As much as I loathe Naruto, the Ninja Storm games looked pretty damn good. Why can't One Piece get the same treatment?

Honestly they aren't all what people make them out to be. They're well made and look good, but they have a fatal flaw that ruins the entire game. You can kawarimi out of anything, so you end up doing nothing but grab, dodge around throwing kunai/shruken which hardly does anything for you anyway, and spam jutsus. My friends can't even play the games anymore because it gets old real fast, and it ends up being a battle of "who can mash R2 the fastest to most efficiently kawarimi and follow up with a grab".
-
Fucking. Stoked.
Real talk though, when I playing Fist of the North Star Musou, I was thinking to myself…this is okay but it would be way better if it was based on something I cared about, like One Piece. It'll probably be objectively shitty but it will be fun to play and at least there is finally a fucking PS3 One Piece game.
-
So, it'll just be going forward and defeating enemies, right? :( I will miss fusing my items, going fishing, collecting insects, all that extra stuff from UC..
-
It would be nice to add variety to the game. OP is a lot of fighting, but also adventure. Some mini games or stuff like that would be welcome.
And while it's true that battles against multiple enemies are recurrent in OP, one on one's are even more common. That's why I'd like if the one on one fights in the game are well done, maybe change the gameplay for them, and add a vs. mode. It's been done before in other games, it would be nothing groundbreaking, just add variety.
-
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Damn you One Piece! I just got an XBOX 360!
-
Then it's time to trade in for a PS3.
-
This one is musou too, and it look really cool. + story mode with cutscnes, funny moments = good OP game

Wow. Seriously? I'm a Warriors fan but even I know DW7 and DWG3 doesn't deserve such a high score.
Anyway, since the Musou tag seems to be in the actual title we can all expect the same monotonous gameplay the Warriors games have been known for. I can't help but feel a tad disappointed that this isn't an adventure game. I know a lot of fans want a fighting game, but One Piece isn't a fighting manga/anime series like Dragon Ball or Naruto, it's an adventure series, and I really couldn't care less about having one character fight with another. I just want to explore the islands the strawhat crew went through in a 3D environment and with beautiful cell-shading graphics.
-
i think our prayers have been answered guys.
hope it got an english version.
i'll pre-oder it right away even if it cost me 200 bucks.i hope we will play musou-style battle and finish the stage by fighting boss in naruto storm style.
i imagine playing enies lobby arc which starts with musou style battle in againts 1000+ enemies and ends it with one on one battle against lucci.
that would be cool. -

So what, it isn't prove the game will be good, look at the scores of the games of Omega Force, the game not look so promising after this.

I wonder if it will carry online gameplay….
9 player co-op mode!
-
So, can anyone tell me whats so good/bad about a Musou game? Everybody else seems really familiar with these games, but I`ve never played them not a huge gamer.
I would personally love a One Piece Game where you really follow the story, not just the fighting but everything else, too. I know those kind of games usually end up sucking, but I can`t stop thinking about the possibilities. Imagine a One Piece game where you can just walk around and explore every island, like Little Garden, Water Seven, Skypiea. It would be unbelievably awesome.
-
They tend to get really repetitive. Anyway I'll be looking forward to some more information because it does sound interesting. I'd prefer a new GB game though :ermm: .
-
Sorry dude. I'd rather see my favorite characters showing off their badassery against one another. The environments of one piece are amazing, but I KNOW NO damn game could ever recreate its beauty.
-

http://www.gamespot.com/games.html?type=company&mode=13027That doesn't mean they'll be bad either. Reviews are still just an opinion, doesn't mean you're going to like the same thing the guy who gave it a score does.
-
I thought DW7 was great. I enjoyed it a lot more than I enjoyed some other games. Some people do find fighting armies to be repetitive tho. I find it more of a stress relief.
-
This is so cool! I would love to play a One Piece game on the PS3!~

Or Grasshopper Manufacturer is like the only Japanese developer left that makes great games?

Yes, all games are repetitive in a sense, but the DW games take it to a whole new level. They're awful.
Will I get it? Yes, to support the series in the West and to finally have OP on my PS3. But if it isn't localized will I spend the large sum to import it? Hell no.
-

XD Ahhh Buu and your jokes. Made me laugh for some time that did.
-
This is a day 1 game even if i have to import .
OP in HD going to be awesome. -
Musou One Piece game? Sing me in! Always wanted to use Gear 3 on some marines army.
-
No scans allowed here? I can post but not much is shown other than timeskip Luffy, and him beating up Marines.
-
scans are allowed. I just don't think anyone had any.
-
-
0.0 … that looks just like Mugiwara Chase graphics. NOW i'm hyped.
-
Hmm, loos like a One Piece Unlimited Cruise but a time skip version with better graphics.
-
Awesooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooome!!!
-
Can't wait to see what's shown for it at TGS.
-
oh and its gonna be at tgs this year.
maybe some gameplay vids?:ninja: -
Luffy looks pretty sweet there. Thank you for the scan.
-
lets see if they make the change at luffys haki and put the blackened version when he attack.
-
for now i kinda like luffy looks, but i am not sure about the gameplay, anyway i excited to the next information.
-
Luffy's model looks great. Is my six-year wait finally over?! :'(
-
hmm i'll wait for gameplay. If it's similar to unlimited cruise then i'll definatley get it. Hell i'll definitely get it regardless although a ps3 would help
