@Neaeran:
I just don't like the fact that they change titles of movies to make it more appealing to people. I can understand it since not everyone here knows what brave means, especially children. But i still prefer the original title.
At least "Brave" tells you something about the movie. "Merida" is just the name of the main character. Awesome …
Interesting that you say that, (cultural differences(?) when everyone else feels its the other way around. "Merida: Legend of Highlands" tells you waaaay more than "Brave".
Besides, its within tradition for Disney fliks to use the main fairytail name and that throws it right into the likes of Snow White, Pinnochio, Cinderella, Aladdin, Mulan, and Tangled Rapunzel. Or Princess Mononoke, Rambo, Oprah. Being the character name elevates it, saying "this is a classic for the ages, you will all know this name and associate it with this, that's how strong the character and the story is"
'Brave' is as generic as it gets and can apply to… any movie.
"Bear and the Bow" is still the best and most Fairy Tale like.
