Ooh candy!! I mean, NO!! Besides, you can't have sprinkles and chocolate syrup without ice cream. I don't like cherries, and actually, candy has less of an appeal to me than it used to. Oddly mette knows my weaknesses more, even though he's my arch-nemesis.

Really, the only thing that could work is if the Otohime campaigns were horrible or if the Buggy campaigns were leagues better than the last match he was in (not to say all of them were bad). While I haven't seen the marineford arc yet and can thus not be turned off by the filler buggy I've heard awful rumors about, mette posted a rather creepy screenshot of him for one. The odd thing is that last year I had a renewed interest towards Buggy due to the 2010 Tournament, but for some reason I've gone back to not liking him as much. I honestly don't know why. :wassat:

Your interest in Buggy just... waxes and wanes? How odd. I don't really know how else to pursuade you to vote for him if your interest just fades so easily. He's an interesting character; he's been there since the begining and we've seen him change over time (from using his crewmates as shields to becoming very caring about them, for one), and his interest to kill Luffy seems to have vanished. He's been one of the people to actually almost kill Luffy, and yet, after all that he was willing to work together with Luffy for a common goal (escaping) and ended up on the side of a war he didn't even want to participate in along with a million follower that somehow see him as a soveran that came to save them. He was there for the death of Ace and Whitebeard, and even saved Luffy multiple times, although reluctantly in a few cases, and even gave Luffy his hat back, the same hat he wanted to, and nearly did, destroy when they first met. While a lot of that is really just coincedence for the characters, or plot development, it's still interesting to watch Buggy's little parallels as he goes from a small-time pirate, who is heartless even to his own crew, and has no real ambitions other than to gain treasure, to crying together with Luffy over a lost comrade and gaining a large group of followers and becoming famous all over the Grandline while gaining the dream of being Pirate King, or, at least, a powerfull (in terms of social status) pirate.

I still feel like Buggy has a lot more to grow yet, hopefully going beyond being a comic relief villain that stumbles on to stuff. Great character with a lot of potential.
(And yea, the fillers were just terrible, from impel down to marineford I cringed at the sight of Buggy. You're lucky not to have seen that, Marimo.)

But this year is for Otohime to shine! Like the sun she never really got to live under! Fighting her whole life for a mission that everyone kept on giving up on, taking a bullet for a tennryubito just because she didn't want the children to be scarred … Everyone should be amazed by just how fantastically awesome that makes her. She deserves more votes than we can give her.

btw, I think we should leave this Otohime vs. Buggy banter until the actual round though.
