I might get bashed for this, but seems like this is the best place to ask.

Why use "Color of ______" when referring to different Haki in English? To me, it's similar to saying "Lakers type of jersey". Sounds kind of redundant when you can simply say "Lakers jersey".

So why not simply use "Armaments Haki", "Observation Haki" and "Conqueror's Haki"?

Just people's personal preferences, is all. One of the translations called them "Color of …" and people like to use the "official" name, so they use what seems to be the closest they can get in English.

It's the literal translation, the "shoku" part of it I believe (for color of). And people prefer literal translations for abilities when they're not just straight up going with the Japanese.

Then I looked back at Duval's list and "Seperated Male" isn't listed. Though maybe buyers could not care less about a split tail male.

It's the meeting of kings of the countries that are part of the WG, which occurs once every 4 years. During Drum we saw a flashback of it 6 (now 8) years ago with Wapol, Cobra, Vivi, etc, where they discussed the threat of Dragon.

If we assume the Ratio between splitted males and splitted females prices would be the same then, it would only cost.
10.000.000/70.000.000=x/1.000.000
x=14.286
Which is far less then even human.

Also Aladdin was more then old enough to potentionally have a split tail - but still walked on land with a solid tail in the flashback.

Yeah i'm also waiting for King Neptune to show his split tail at one point. That is to say if males do split their fins like females. I can't imagine why not, but so far all the men have been wearing bubble tubes.

You know that actually came to mind. The only reason why I did not bring it up was that I just figured they must be able to have children before the age of 30. Or maybe it's just natures(Oda's) way of easing birth for older Mermaids.

Or it could geniunely be that until that age they don't have kids O.o I mean Caime isn't married and she would be in her 20's now possibly I know I wasn't married until 25 and of course marriage isn't a prerequisite for childbirth but it is a kids Manga and well maybe Mer/Fish people choose to do things later?

Sanji is from North Blue I think although how people from north south east and west move from one to the other I have no clue.

@Cymelion, I also was wondering for some time how they move between the Blues… And why, if the marines can pass through the Calm Belt, no one has ever thought of just doing that near Raftel, at the end of the Grand Line.

Hm, maybe the Red Line has smaller passages or something. Just because we don't see it on the maps, doesn't mean they're not there. But most people don't go from one Blue to another, anyway. I don't think they need to, either. Each Blue has entire countries and kingdoms, they have their own economy, etc.

It's just that Williamdorf posted a map of the One piece world and North-and West blue was on the other side of the mountain. So if the people on the Paradise side know about, well, "Paradise", then he and some of the others from the other side might know more about the New World. If my word-spas make any sense…

why people dont just go hike the reverse mountain n go down on the otherside of the mountain. that way they will reach the last island coz technicaly the last island is redline it self due to the fact that red line is an island. I forgot where but it is stated that redline is a collection of huge island

so raftel isnt in the last island, it might be not even in the new world or perhaps its not an island. Maybe its a huge three like samboidy n three called adam three lol

I believe the Marines do know the location of Raftel and what is on it - they are trying to stop "Pirates" from reaching it - also remember the marines killed off Ohara and their people for discovering the history of the Void Century - Something is at Raftel that they want no one but the top level marines or WG to know about - Roger got there discovered the secret and took it to his grave and Rayleigh could have spilled the beans as well but chooses to honour his captains wishes. So marines getting to Raftel isn't impossible its just not somewhere they need to go.

The translation is a bit iffy, but from what I'm reading there it just means that the Red Line "acts" as several island. So yeah. Cheers.

For at least the 22 years before the timeskip, it seems like the Marines didn't have as much of a presence in the New World, as they weren't making a major effort to overpower the emperors. I doubt they could have gotten to Raftel even if they wanted to given the circumstances.

Before Roger got there the island didn't carry the same significance. He's the one who took all the poneglyph passages there, after all. Even now there aren't many people at all who could make sense of them. That's not to say there isn't something else of importance there, but even if there was it was still a sea controlled largely by pirates rather than marines. They're making an effort now, but we have yet to see the fruits of it, so we don't really know how much of a presence they've managed to establish in the last two years. It's not as if the other emperors left or anything.

(that reminds me, the monkey D.'s are doing quite well for themselves seeing most D.'s we have encoutered died pretty young.)

And yeah, the monkey D. and BB are the only ones left, And i don't believe we'll see any D. maybe in a special D. flashback but still, since there's Dragon who might know everything just like Roger.

you're right, we haven't a clue as to how old Saul was but Roger wasn't that old. A normal lifespan would IMHO be somewhat longer than Rogers. So what I mean is that none of them seem to die of old age or even reach an old age. They all die quite gruesome too. Saul got frozen by Aokiji, Portgas D. Rouge died giving birth to Ace, Roger was sick and was executed. Those aren't really normal deaths you know . . .
Now that I think about it. We really know a very small amount of D's. What happened to Rouge's Portgas D. family, or teach's or Sauls? Are they all dead too? At least one of those should've had a brother or a sister and I'm very sure they all had parents at one point. Where the hell did they go anyway? Or do are D.'s only capable of making 1 child? Like Ace was an only child and Luffy too and probably Blackbeard (I don't see him having a brother or sister for some reason).

Also, @ Juvar: Croco D. Ile . . . –> you all know it !!!!

I'm still betting that there will be a Marine HQ battle v.2 coming up, but prominently featuring the crew. It'd be such an ideal spot in the storyline to explain such things after the whole fiasco on FI is resolved.

Now, it seems to be common knowledge that Daddy was originally canon, but I can't seem to find anything that proves it. Sure there are mentions of things that got cut, but it doesn't seem to be much more than conjecture. Can anyone prove that Daddy is indeed canon, with like Databook info or something that's not conjecture?

why does mangarule even bother scanlating so hard (they are up to ch 607 according to baka updates)
when mangastream is already up to 627???
they are 20 chapters late…why do we need 2 scanlation group??? and one is obviously very very late in comparison.

I thought there were more groups than that. Plus it seemed like lately the groups that scan the fastest make a lot of mistakes. The groups that are slower tended to be more accurate. At least that was the problem during a good chunk of the flashback in this arc.

Why are you complaining? More options is a GOOD thing.

To answer the question specifically, Mangastream has bad translations and watermarks. They only use Jump scans (which have mistakes), and they take their chapters down after several weeks. All of these are issues that Mangarule has addressed with their early scans.

There is no way someone could scanlate the volumes without it being very late in comparison.

And in case you haven't noticed, they do more up to date Jump scans as well.
