Whistles
Didn't look at the whole thing, but man you guys are picky ungrateful bastards. I have my complaints on the Anime, don't get me wrong, but are you guys really telling me that there are 89 pages of bitching towards the animation styles?
Sure, some scenes were done amazingly, and some scenes stick out like a soar thumb, but you can't blame them at all, in fact, it's actually a positive in my eyes, the "good" and the "bad" scenes.
Oh, but you guys are probably right… I mean, the animation style should be completely consistant and amazing all the time! I mean, Oda himself has always kept his art style completely the same through the whole series! ... For those that took me seriously need to go look at the earlier chapters then look at the chapters before the time skip...
Seriously guys, I know we're big fans here, and we can bitch and bitch about the animation style, but let's face it, what we get is what we get, and later, you can watch the series again, get out of the bitchy bitch mindset, and you might notice that those "horrible" scenes aren't that bad to look at when you're not being anal.
I speak out of experience actually, since I was also bitching about the animation when I was a bit younger, then I started rewatching the episodes with a friend recently, then got to some of the episodes I remember thinking were ugly, but once I got to it, I didn't mind it at all, considering now adays I have much more of an open mind, and appreciate things the way they are.
Now, before you keep bitching about the Anime, remember this... What brought you into One Piece? If it was a consistant artstyle that made you wow constantly, then I'm sorry, but I don't believe you... One Piece's artstyle is quite honestly, a very simple style, and if you saw most of the scenes outside of knowing the series, you'd think of it as a cartoony style, and would never be able to tell just how amazing the series is by first glance. Now... Is that a bad thing? Am I going against Oda for this? No, in fact, I almost praise him for choosing this simple style, for his simlpe style allows for many, many, MANY different faces, characters, objects, and an entire world with his style. Also remember this, he has created many lovable characters that most manga artists would probably reject due to them not looking "cool" or "sexy" or "badass". (You know, in a way, I consider Oda as the manga equivalent of the Disney movies where he has a simple art style but has cast of different faces, the emotions and imagination for a good story)
Now, you're going to reject the animation because you don't like how it looks? Then you aren't watching One Piece the way you should, with an open mind that's ready for anything, the happy, the sad, the amazing, and even the ugly, and you should only bitch at an animation company when they are going against the story.
That's my two cents anyway, take it or leave it, but that was a fun rant to type XD
