I'm thinking that Jinbe is going to come to the conclusion that the World Government have to be treated as enemies in order to move forward as a race. But it's also not a fate he can willingly project to the entirety of Fishman Island.
I've been thinking this will be the case as well. I figure Robin is going to be a key in Jimbe's revalation after she discovers the history on the FI Ponaglyph.

I do appreciate the effort - but I wasn't crash hot on Franky being a part of the crew when he joined personality wise he just seemed too … contrived? In no way am I comparring Hatchans presence to that of Franky's just stating a personal anecdote. I know if he joins he will justify his position that much is certain.

I think it's because people are used to typing or saying Fisherman - it's just a grammatical hiccup more then anything. I don't think I have done it though but I can understand someone who does.

It could be but I doubt it. They're different and savage and prone to violence so being controlled as slaves suits them.

I'm not suggesting anything he has not already been shown doing. I am certain there were more then a few people on the boat of Fish/mermen capable of catching dinner.

All in all I can't convince you there is anything special - maybe someone else could but you don't WANT to hear it from me. Toad is doing very well especially considering he thinks his english may not be all that good when in reality it completely dwarfs some here who speak it as an only language.
I will state however there was only 1 scene in this arc that lent credence to me which was how reluctant Hatchan looked and how he was told to come - showing it wasn't so willing.
However there was more depth to Jinbei's scenes - Including attacking marines but being told not to kill them - beating Arlong for refusing to follow Tiger wishes and his decision to become a Shichibukai(?spelling) to help his race. Jinbei has a lot of backing for a good reason.

Toads theory is a good one.
I know it's not - but when you start trying to find justification when it isn't there we end up with Perona like "SHE'LL BE A SCOUT THINK ABOUT IT!!!" It works sure but there are many contrary arguments that shoot it down.
Even now people are only throwing out theories why Jinbei would join - viable yes - compelling hells yeah, but it doesn't explain away Hatchan's involvement and growth. Hatchan's strength isn't really questionable we know that he fought with Kuma and the Rosy Riders in a massive battle against the Marines. I doubt they would send their weakest warriors to a site Kuma was protecting.

As I was reading, I thought at first that Jinbe's reluctance to outright kill Arlong would be his reason of guilt, though it looked like it wasn't from lack of trying. j/k
I do find it intriguing that Jinbe and Aladdin talked about the danger Arlong posed and that they'd be the ones to stop him. So there must have been something that caused them to not be able or willing to go get him, since his reign of terror at Cocoyashi started either at the time of or right after Otohime's death. The difference will likely be the factor for whether the Stawhats forgive Jinbe or not.
To anyone thinking Hachi or Arlong still have chances is kinda delusional given how they've been basically written out of the flashback now until at least the end. Aladdin has a better chance at this point, and he's still a non-entity in the present day.
And for anyone still thinking Jinbe's simple telling of his story equates to the elaborate narration we the audience are being treated to, just try to imagine him saying, "The Sun Pirates…With Jinbe, the First Son of the Sea, as their new captain...consumed themselves endlessly with fighting."

Also how many times have the SH's been shown almost starving or having food problems - admittedly that hasn't happened much since getting the Sunny but it is still shown the SH's fishing even on the Sunny … although that could be anime only I'm not concious enough to check.

Well my thought is, that the Jinbei crew gave up at piraecy. Alladin was mentioned as one of them.
My thought is that by the end of the arc Jinbe is going to view at least portions of the World Government as a barrier to the advancement of the race. He can't drag the island into such a fight and him along with the remnants of his crew simply aren't enough to take down said barrier. Luffy, on the other hand…
As I said earlier, my thought isn't so much about going against the world government, but rather about providing a powerful eample to the people of FI of a fishman coexisting with humans as an equal. Otohime tried to get people on her side, but they were too afraid to take the risk. Even though we'v seen that individual fishmen and mermen like Tom and Kokoro have gone to live with humans outside of FI, they wouldn't provide the same type of taking the first step as someone like Jinbe, who is already a major idol to the fishmen and mermen, would

I can't really be sure how much Jinbe was aware of Arlong's exact actions, though he knew it was a good thing that Luffy took him down. Whatever he did or didn't know, there likely was a reason he didn't go to check on Arlong himself all this time because as Aladdin said, it's something they would have done even if the Marines wouldn't. I can't see that not being addressed.

I won't pursue anymore on this topic because this isn't the right place to talk about it, but remember that the first ancient weapon was Poseidon..god of water..and the fact that here exist an ancient civilization known for their technologic prowess city which is the end sink down underwater: Atlantis.

It was also explicitly stated that Jinbe took the Warlord title so that members (plural) of his crew (referring to the collective prior to the split) could be pardoned and go back to their lives on Fishman Island. More specifically among the members Jinbe listed was Aladdin. So when we see the split happen, who is standing right next to Jinbe? Aladdin. This means whoever Jinbe thought might take advantage of that pardon (such as Aladdin) had not yet had such an opportunity. Basically, the scene we see of Jinbe sitting in the captains chair surrounded by his "gang" takes place right after he takes the title, which is right when Arlong is released, which is right when the crew splits.

Besides, i would contend that Franky didn't have to leave anyway. Weak ass characters do what they want with bounties on their heads all the time. Franky would have been fine. And Franky was leaving, bounty or no bounty. It was his dream and the "Franky family" would have made him leave one way or the other because they wouldn't want to hold him back. No crew member of the Straw Hat pirates HAS to be there.
Page 5 (6 on Mangastream) is incredibly telling of Jinbe's increased focus, touching upon him as both the fiercest Sun Pirate and the most thoughtful one, being the one to take the time to explain Tiger's true feelings to the king and queen. He also wants his race to be accepted by the world, which is what he hoped to achieve by joining the Warlords in the first place and what he may achieve by ultimately joining Luffy. We've seen he's a class act through and through. Is there any reason left to doubt where this is going?

One thing that's important: Luffy and Jinbe share a common enemy at this point now. If the Nobles definitely had some part in killing the Queen (very likely at this point). Jinbe will probably ally with Luffy in the future at the very least, I would think. Jinbe isn't pathetically weak and Luffy's friend, so he will fight alongside Luffy (unless something happens). This isn't really hard evidence or anything, but why would Jinbe have an unresolved enemy left in the air before the arc ends? Has ANY other ally of the Strawhats have this happen to them? (Lola I think… but her common enemy at the time was gone). I'm not counting the times the Strawhats have lost a fight (All of them to Admirals at this point haha).
Edit: Basically, the longer this flashback goes on, the more it makes me think that this Arc is going to end with some more Nobles getting their shit wrecked. Which makes me think the second part of the arc is visiting Mariejoia? or however you spell it. The nobles are being developed as an opponent in this flashback, the most convenient place in the entire world for Luffy to fight them has come, and they are the primary ally's main enemy in development. If this is the case, Jinbe will almost certainly help them, which I think is a nudge towards Jinbe as crew mate.

Well Uh they are kinda the same smart guy ,since Jinbe actually became a shichibukai so his crew could get a pardon hence Arlong being let go from Jail,and News flash He is no longer a shichibukai and his crew hasn't been seen present time so who knows what can happen.

But here's the kicker. You're just wrong in saying that Franky left because of the Franky family. Demonstrably wrong. After he completed the Sunny, he hid from Luffy because he knew when asked to join, he wouldn't be able to refuse. Because he liked Luffy and the crew a lot, and it was his dream to sail the seas in his dream ship. Why would he do that if he WANTED to leave to protect Zambai and everyone?? Why would the Franky Family have to help force him to leave? It makes no sense. Indisputably, the only reason Franky left Water 7 and is a Straw Hat, is because that's exactly what he wanted to do.
Sooo you're saying he would have been fine on a Ship Building island that creates Marine vessels - where the sea-train is a connecting port with major Marine and WG associated islands - also as he was present and fighting with the SH's when they were percieved as responsible for the destruction of Ennis Lobby - release of Robin - defeat of CP9 - Creation and supply of a dangerous Pirate vessel to the SH's AND solely responsible for the Destruction of the plans for an Ancient Weapon? All that and the WG were just going to let him kick back with his rag-tag group of rapscallions because you know his alright?
He might not have been Hunted but he would have been caught had he not left and his family would have been destroyed and captured.
Basically every SH joins the crew because they have something to gain by travelling with Luffy, a.k.a their dream. The same goes fro Franky, he left W7 so he can accomplish his dream. Thats the one missing from Jinbe at the moment. What would he possibly gain by travelling with Luffy? If his dream is a derivative of Otohime n Tiger's, I doubt travelling with Luffy will help.
By the look of things, the flashback should be wrapped in about 2 chapters. If by the end of it we still dont see any signs of this, I think his chance of joining just dropped

Luffy's surely going to do a great thing for Fishman island by the end of the arc. Probably the thing that moves merfolk/fishmen closer to humanity than anything else. That's something Jinbe obviously supports more and more. And If he joins the straw hats, he'll have plenty of opportunity to fight the WG, the greatest enemy to Fishman Island.
It was also explicitly stated that Jinbe took the Warlord title so that members (plural) of his crew (referring to the collective prior to the split) could be pardoned and go back to their lives on Fishman Island. More specifically among the members Jinbe listed was Aladdin. So when we see the split happen, who is standing right next to Jinbe? Aladdin. This means whoever Jinbe thought might take advantage of that pardon (such as Aladdin) had not yet had such an opportunity. Basically, the scene we see of Jinbe sitting in the captains chair surrounded by his "gang" takes place right after he takes the title, which is right when Arlong is released, which is right when the crew splits.
Technicalities aside it's pretty obvious Oda is showing us where these fishmen stand. Had he specifically want to show that 3 groups separated and none sided with Jinbe he would've been in a panel by himself and Aladdin would've been the main figure leading the rest of the fishmen back to w/e path they took. Since we already know that a group of fishmen left Fishman island with Jinbe I'd say that's them.

Besides, i would contend that Franky didn't have to leave anyway. Weak ass characters do what they want with bounties on their heads all the time. Franky would have been fine. And Franky was leaving, bounty or no bounty. It was his dream and the "Franky family" would have made him leave one way or the other because they wouldn't want to hold him back. No crew member of the Straw Hat pirates HAS to be there.
Franky's dream dealt specifically with building a great ship sailing on adventures not with the added caveat of being the shipwright of that ship. Had the SHs already recruited a capable shipwright I'd think Franky would've been fine with staying with his family and just going underground since he was pretty much leading that kind of life beforehand anyway.
Wow, ever since Eiichiro's WTF no new nakama for Hancock, people have had little to no faith or wanting for Jinbei joining the Straw hats huh?

Yes, Luffy will cause a great change in FI. Something to help the Fishman n Human understand each other better? Probably, and most likely so. And Jinbe will definitely support such deed.
But thats where it ends, there isnt any strong reason to go with Luffy. More opportunity to fight with the WG??? "My dream is to topple down the World Government, Fishman's greatest enemy!!", he'll be better off joining Dragon for that.
And so far each of the SH dream involves some specific, "selfish" ambition. Something they need to accomplish for themselves (yes Zoro is also doing it for Kuina's sake, but still he'll be the one to take the title right?). While Jinbe doesnt seem to have anything for himself, joining the Sun Pirates for Tiger, becoming the captain to continue Tiger's will, shichibukai for the sake of his crew, Tiger, Otohime, and his people.
If theres any sort of "selfish" dream, I think it will involve something with his first job. Neptune's army soldier, we still dont know why he chose to be a soldier in the first place right? So we'll see how that plays out
Page 5 (6 on Mangastream) is incredibly telling of Jinbe's increased focus, touching upon him as both the fiercest Sun Pirate and the most thoughtful one, being the one to take the time to explain Tiger's true feelings to the king and queen. He also wants his race to be accepted by the world, which is what he hoped to achieve by joining the Warlords in the first place and what he may achieve by ultimately joining Luffy. We've seen he's a class act through and through. Is there any reason left to doubt where this is going?
I just recall ,there is a conversation between Jinbe and Crocodile(Chapter 549 page 6) –--after Crocodile make comment on one of Jinbe's abilities as Interactions with Marine life

I did wonder what is oda's purpose to create that conversation---now I feel it will make sense if Jinbe indeed is next crew of Straw Hats.

You are missing the point. Nobody is trying to argue that Jinbe doesn't have a gang or a faction, but rather point out that of the three groups, those who aligned with Jinbe are likely the ones Jinbe sought to pardon in the first place– as in, they no longer wanted to be pirates. Sure, now that Jinbe quit being a Warlord they can't just sit peacefully on Fishman Island and as we know they had to leave the island along with him, but that doesn't mean they took up piracy again, or even travel or hang with Jinbe. If they chose to quit being pirates while Jinbe remained one, then they probably didn't want to be pirates in the first place, and just joined the crew because they felt compelled to support Tiger's stand and defend his status as a criminal.
I still don't deny the possibility that some of them are still active (thus making him the "captain" still), or that since two years ago some may have taken up piracy again, however I also still don't see it as a problem for his potential invite to the crew.
