Who… is Derpy? WHO IS DERPY?! DUDE!! SHE IS THE STAR OF THE SHOW, DUH!!
As far as i am concerned this show should be renamed Pinke and the background noise orchestra.
Since everypony elses purpose on the show is to interact with her awesomeness.

I like how he bothered to put on the pony's face on the bag for that purpose. :O
Derpy Hooves is my favorite.
You win. I can't fight the entire female population of AP.

That… can't actually be from the show.
Can it?
…Not enough... Spike? ...
Yes, can't have enough of it. And everything that goes with it. Like, say, pies.
This is the Robert I hope remains my entire life.

I love your avvie. Mine doesn't even hold a candle. <333

xD It's not just girls, Robby, who like the show. Haha~ awesome avvie.

Nah, Bobert amuses me too much.
Tho that started as a random one off joke… and that pony's expression IS hilarious...
I'm liking this "Celestia is a dictator" thing the fanbase has going.
!
I haven't watched a single episode of this show, and yet it has my unlimited support. Amazing animation.
If there were a gender ambiguous pony and I weren't going through my Bruce phase right now, I'd so change my avatar.
also, how did i know Tara Strong would be the voice of the main character
Cause Tara Strong is fucking awesome.
It's okay. I trying to resist showering my MLP fanart on this thread.

BRONIES! UNITE!
I hate to say it, but 4chan brought me to this show.
Bronies there are quite fun people…usually.
And the MLP virus has successfully infected AP . . . .
Hey, Chrissie, got any icons of Luna? I mean Luna, Celestia's little sister, not Nightmare Moon.

Eh, I'll stick with Applejack and Rarity, thanks.
Seriously, I just watched the ep "Dog and Pony Show", and it was fucking BRILLIANT.

Is this why we now have an MLP ava, Robby?

BRONIES!!! I LOVE IT!!!!! falls over laughing
!
I am so sorry.
. . . . . I'm countering that with a Rarity clip:
A bunch of people I follow on twitter wouldn't stop talking about how great the show was so I decided to check it out and I gotta say its a great cartoon.
This thread scares me
Dammit…..I must not watch this.....But clips so hilarious..... It was already awkward enough going into the Tangled theaters as the only male in there.

Come on, darling. Join us. It's not all bad.
The Pinkie bounce should be the only allowed form of transportation.
Chrissie, I love you. -saves ALL the gifs-

YES. Oh my gosh the Parasprite episode nearly killed me. Anyone got a gif of her doing the one-pony band as the parasprites bounce past or something like that? It's hilarious
Is… is it like carebears? o_o
Is… is it like carebears? o_o
It seems to have a lot more energy than what the Carebears ever had from what I saw.
@No:
Okay, that was funny.
But where does one watch it in this hellhole of a country ?
I watch it on Youtube.

Sorta gives me the same feeling as Arthur. To this day I will still watch Arthur re-runs.

Quite possibly the best episode of them all. The randomness of it all is overwhelming.
Serioulsy, does no one wonder why NightMare Moon, instead of dicking around tormenting the ponies with falling cliffs and dragons with half mustaches, just instead gone to the temple WAY before the other ponies did and just steal the gems to really fuck with them? Sure, it may not have ensured her victory, but at least she wouldn't have come across as Dick Dastardly's girly cousin.
And how does she just shrug off a 1,000 year imprisonment like it was nothing?
Are all girl shows this weird?
I don't know why people emphasize femininity when watching My Little Pony so much. It's not like it hits the viewer over the head with the fact that it's oriented at young females, which is more evident in the toy line than anything in the show itself.
There's no reason to single it out so heavily as "girly" when compared to any other cartoon you enjoy.

Fine, will juvenile work then?
Gets stampeded by the pony brigade
P.S. You know that part where Twilight Sparkle's eyes glow like she's possessed before granting everyone their Harmony Gems? I'm surprised I haven't seen a GIF of that yet.

You obviously don't know much about the traditions of villainy. You need to watch more Kim Possible.

Oh my god. I love you.
Plus, why does it matter? It's fucking MLP. I'm here for the cupcakes and songs. Not the motivations and actions of villains.
But seriously, are the rest of the episodes as sappy as number two, or is that a rarity?
Actually, as the show goes on, even the "today I learned… about friendship!" segments at the end start getting more fluid. By episode five I hadn't even thought about them as anything but just a normal part of the show. The concept is ~cheesy~ I guess, but
It's never that "sappy" again in the sense that the chemistry of the cast doesn't enable it.
On the contrary I always think they're legitimately just cute. One of the best parts of the show is that it never feels contrived about ~lessons~ and everything seems so natural.
Okay….watched episode one. Well, it's not quite as bad as I thought it would be watching it.
[hide]And by that, I mean its completely hilarious and cute. Flattery shine(I think her name was. She was kind of quiet…) is adorable![/hide]
Oh, bravo. I am so glad you tried it and enjoyed it.
Mostly that you tried it. Nothing urks me more is when someone simply won't try something that won't hurt them.

Well, one of the reasons I usually won't try something is because I usually tell myself 'Before I try this, I'd rather try this other thing first'. It's the same with starting manga. Before I read certain series, I would go 'Well, I'd rather read Nausicca, Lone Wolf and Cub, and Vinland Saga before I read this.'

Understandable.
Now tell me, favorite pony so far?

Probably Flattery Shine, the quiet one. I just enjoyed the shy part, and loved how she got all excited when she heard about the dragon!
The first one.

.
that's not the first one, actually. :)
the episode with the sleep over; I kept waiting for them to talk about (twilight's the purple one, right) her doing everything by the book, when sometimes you just have to put the book down and do what's called for. I guess they didn't overwelm the kiddies when they were already trying to set an example with the other 2 fighting.
Hell yeah. I love Fluttershy.
Hell yeah. I love Fluttershy.
Fluttershy! That's it then. I couldn't really hear her in the first episode.
Edit: Ah. I also just found out its made by the same people that made Power Puff Girls, and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.
Just watched the 2nd episode. I like the distinct personalities in each pony. Also, if the princess wanted Twilight to learn about friendship as well as studies, why'd she send her to a secluded tower in the first place? And why is she princess instead of queen/goddess though I suppose goddess may be too close to religious implications?
This show is a delusive moonlight.
@THE:
This show is a delusive moonlight.
….So....does that mean it's addicting or something else?
3rd episode: So does Pinkie sing a song in every episode?
Nah she doesn't sing enough. Nor does she throw enough impromtu parties.
But that convince Twilight to give me the ticket song number is one of my favorites. So delightfully innocent.
