@loledinmypants:
Grats on the shiny.
I'm not that big on competitive battling, but the few things I see looking at your team:
1. HM moves should be replaced for competitive battling unless they're Surf or Waterfall.
2. Try to have a variety of types in the movesets of each pokemon. Many of yours have a few of the same type. Krookodile for example has 2 dark AND 2 ground. Cofrigagus has 3 ghost moves. The team has a variety of types, which is great, but it can be even better when each pokemon has a variety of types
3. Krookodile has a decent attack stat, so you'd do better with Crunch most of the time rather than Foul Play (Foul Play has 15 higher base power, but works off the opposing pokemon's attack stat rather than Krookodile's).
what about FLY? is that a decent hm still or not?
but yea what you said. even if not competitively battling there is no point to having many of the same type of moves. If you have a good move that has 15+ pp's there is very low chance you will use any of your other moves of that same type, so get rid of them. And try and get a move that helps what your other move is not good with at all. Or else get moves that boost your pokemon's stats that help you. Such as look what type of attacks you have, if they a re all special attacks, then get a special attack riser. Oh and also look at serebii.net at the pokemon you are using. Even if not EV training you can tell how decent they are in areas such as atk or special atk. If one of your pokemon just sucks balls in atk, then stay away from those kinds of moves and make sure yours are all special atk moves.
I was also working on making my team, haven't finalized yet but this is what i'm thinking right now
1. Umbreon (dark) - (toxic, baton pass, wish, Work up)
2. Ninetails (fire) - (flamethrower, energy ball, overheat, substitute)
3. Dragonair (dragon) - (draco meteor, thunderbolt, blizzard, dragon breath)
4. Lucario (fight/steel) - (focus punch, crunch, swords dance, stone edge)
5. Blastoise (water) - (hydro cannon, mirror coat, skull bash, ice beam)
6. Pidgeot (flying) - (Brave bird, roost, fly, theif)
I have Umbreon as my lead pokemon and he can take basically hits whileei stat him up, poison enemy, then batan to effective pokemon
man i need to find something for pidgeot last move. Theif does like barely any damage. A special atk move is out of the question. currently lvl 48 and my atk is 130, and sp atk is only 68. so need something atk wise, but seems all atk are flying or normal. any suggestions? or shoudl i get some other move like sunny day or agility or something?
