next thing you know he's going to start taking hostages
i read somewhere that people had formed human shield around his palace… i wont be surprised if those were hostages forced to sit there
-
next thing you know he's going to start taking hostages
He already used civilians as human shields against air strikes so its basically same thing.
-
Now all we need is a televised appearance of Gaddafi stroking a cat in his lap while stating his demands.

Lol, dammit I was going to say it!
–-----------------------------------
Ok, so Gaddafi's burning his own oil plants, using his citizens as shileds when he's not killing them, and declaring a 'Long War' because of international intervention.
Anything else?
Oh yeah, he probably wants a million dollars.
-

They're probably those stupid Pro-Gaddhafi loyalists - who were rioting durin the weekend to express their outrage over the UN resolution. They said they were prepared to die for him…
If thats the case, i say just bomb the morons. If they want to support him and let his reign of tyranny continue, they deserve the same fate as his gang of thugs who're murdering innocent people,. -

So how did Gadaffi's son die? I heard it breifly from my dad but I wanna hear it from you guys since I know the news will be twisted where I search…
-
Supposedly the son was killed after a rebel pilot flew his jet into the compound where Khamis was staying. Libya is officially denying it though.
Reportedly, the air strikes against the AA system killed about 64 people between the twenty sites. That suggests that those sites were all running with a skeleton crew though I don't think anybody has said yet as to whether that was because a lot of them had deserted or if the people were mostly transferred somewhere else with a handful of them left there to keep up appearances.
-
Oh wow my dad said something completely different. He learned that it had something to do with the US. But thanks so much for replying!
-
-Resident says at least 10 people killed in bombardment of west Libya town of Zintan.
-Coalition warplanes attacked a military aircraft belonging to Muammar Gaddafi's armed forces that was flying towards Benghazi.
-Misurata is still being shelled by Gaddafi's forces.
=
-Hussein El Warfali, one of the heads of a Gaddafi brigade near Tripoli, has reportedly been killed.
-
Some TORY MPs have come out in opposition to the action, one of who was a diplomat in Iraq, saying this is a 20 to 30 year commitment the UK are making.
Fuck that -

Fuck thatlol, this won't even be half a year and that's being conservative.
-
Can I quote you on that down the line
And I've been quite surprised at the reaction over here, there was a big row at work today where like 10 people descended on 2 guys who were in favour of the action, the papers are plastered with gratuitous dissection of the cost of the campaign pound by pound. One of them had a poll stating less than 30% of the population were pro military intervention, 53% anti and the rest don't give a fuck either way.
-
I read in the school paper some politician wanted Obama impeached for not going to the senate or whatever
I'm a little rusty on presidential history, but I'm pretty sure presidents have done that before

Hell, this isn't even the first time we've done this sort of thing to Libya.
-
There is also a debate (esp in Africa this week) about how "international intervention = oil blah, just to limit refugees blah blah, double standards, why didn't you do the same in Ivory Coat, Israel + list of all other conflicts. Leave Africa to Africans,Gaddafi 's a smart one so the West dsn't like it ,Works hard for Libya regardless of his insanity, democracy not necessarily for African countries".
:wassat: the most important here is a genuine ceasefire, the coalition can at least bring that forth(I mean the fuckers at AU cnt even handle some punk called Gbagbo,The Arab league? pff) and for this we should tolerate any (hidden agenda driven or not) intervention by the West for the time being I think. Had it not moved at this point, when the awful deathtoll is revealed they would have been accused of idly standing by too..If they succeed in stopping attacks against civilians then we can start saying step back and hand over to the rebel leaders(whilst keeping a vigilant eye on the situation).

slow claps
apparantly there's been another incident involving american friendly fire =/ -
@kuma
page is almost set. It will give a good starting ground. I'll spread it more once my fever goes down. -
Man what did you catch I saw your post in the CS thread get well soon.
-
-Aljazeera: Coalition warplanes bombarded Gaddafi forces stationed at the eastern entrance of Ajdabiya.
-14 killed and 23 injured in Misurata after the attacks by Gaddafi's forces on Tuesday.
-Reuters: A resident says coalition airstrikes targeted Gaddafi forces in Misurata. Artillery and tanks stopped shooting in the city moments later. (this was the second airstrike after one early in the morning)
-Snipers are firing at the hospital in Misurata, 3 killed and 3 critically wounded.
-Gaddafi's troops have resumed their shelling on Zintan.
-National Transitional Council have declared a 'interim government' Headed by Mahmoud Jibril.
-
I literally facepalmed about the actions of certain countries considering Lybia. China was never too eager in establishing free democracies, and Putin is in his usual pissing contest with the US, so no surprises there. I'm not even going to start on Germany, it's disappointing but consistent with this overall weak government we had the past years.
The whole argument about Obama is also silly IMO, sometimes people are just arguing for arguing's sake. If he had done nothing people would have started complaining that he doesn't care for democracy or human rights.Anyways, I'm glad things are starting to move in Lybia. I hope though, the whole conflict will be resolved soon and the Lybian people can claim their freedom, they deserve it for all they've been through.
-
The Libyan TV's HQ is located in Tripoli, right ?
It'd be good if all the people in this town knew the truth about Gaddafi, and not that bullshit propaganda… -
This is some scary stuff. Those 4 journalist have some balls, I don't know how I would have acted in that horrendous situation.

(Colonel Qaddafi once famously quipped that Shakespeare, or Sheik Zubeir, was actually an Arab migrant.
How come this doesn't surprise me ?

A controversial new English National Opera production about the Libyan dictator Colonel Gadaffi was originally billed as the world's first rap opera – yet it contains no rap, and no opera. Peter Culshaw meets the show's creators for an explanation
Ah, this reminds us of something now doesn't it ?

"Gaddafi is a great Shakespeare fan," says Khan. "He believes that Shakespeare was actually an Arab immigrant to Britain called Sheikh Zubeir."
-
If Shakespeare was an Arab migrant, Sophocles was a fisherman from what is now Kyrgyzstan.
-
I think we should seriously reconsider putting Gaddafi on the same level of bat shit crazy as Niyazov.
Granted he didn't legaly change the word "bread" into the name of his dead mother but still.

Well he also said that Obama's real name is Bu'mama, Coca and Pepsi are african products since they're black, democracy is an arabic word : "ديمو الكراسي" (demo al karassy) which he explained it as a group of people sitting on chairs : If people aren't sitting on chairs then there's no democracy.

It involves bread.

We need a measurement system for the craziness/evilness of leaders.
Sixteen Mussolinis = One Stalin (Four Titos in metric)
Twelve Stalins = One Hirohito (Three Ceausescus in metric)
Twelve Hirohitos = One Amin (Three Mugabes in metric)
Twelve Amins = One Gaddafi (Two Kim il Sungs in metric)
Ten Gaddafis = One Mobutu (One Hitler in metric)And so forth.

fire-fit you are a fucking genious

-Reuters: Al Arabiya: Government tanks loyal to Gaddafi are positioned at the eastern and western entrances of the city of Ajdabiyah.
-Residents in Tripoli said they heard eight explosions in the east of the city and saw smoke rising into the night sky.
-Reuters: Doctor in Misurata saying government tanks are closing in on the hospital and shelling the area.
-Reuters: NATO envoys fail to agree on taking over command of Libya operations, says NATO diplomat.

I'm kind of embarrased by the level of "BUHHH MR PREZIDENT WHATS GOING ON????" in the US right now. From the congress, who are a bunch of worthless shitheads so whatever, but also from people like Jon Stewart.
Again. Again I reiterate.
A bunch of teenagers and 20 somethings on a rubber pirate comic book forum are doing fine.
The fucking US congress should know what the hell.

Little did we know Coke is made from a rare black sugar that only grows in Libya.
