Young Justice RETURSN OMG

^So long as fanboys continue to refuse to accept anyone else besides Hamill being a good Joker.
I refuse to accept that.
Hamill was a GREAT Joker.
-
Hamill is the only Joker
-
I thought the Batman joker was pretty cool. I really liked his voice, very menacing.
-
^ Kevin Micheal Richardson?
-
Yea, this one.
Tmz9LsbQ8BE -
I like DC Universe Online Joker…Oh wait...
-
He's okay so long as you don't expect much out his laugh or pay any attention to him having Dreadlocks and being Barefoot for some reason.
-
I actually enjoy this take one Joker. The dreadlocks thing is cool (though in some shots it looks like Hak Foo's hair from Jackie Chan Adventures). Oh his laugh is fantastic, just as equally good as Mark's.
-
@Yonkou#3:
Fair enough she left him with someone capable, but not someobe capable of helping him not die. The fact of the matter is aqualad needed help more.
From their experiences they had to know superboy's pretty damn resistant. On the other hand they have no idea how aqualad's body works, for all they know he could have been at death's door. It seems like taking care of the unknown would be more tactical than rescuing a hostage who has a high percentage of survival.
They could have easily stolen the soldier's water rations. And it was the runing gag on this chapter to forget about aqualad.
-
^So long as fanboys continue to refuse to accept anyone else besides Hamill being a good Joker.
The guy that plays him on The Brave and the Bold does a good job; not Mark Hamill good, but still fairly good. The Joker's Favor and Mask of the Phantasm are always going to define the character for me though.
-
Watched the last two eps.
I know that this is the season's theme, but can we have at least one bad guy not connected to the Light?
Ah well, it's most likely just to get the show's feet wet.
I liked Clayface's cameo. I couldn't get enough of him as a kid or an adult.
…Aaaand I was going to talk about why McDonald's doesn't have and Artemis or Me'gan toy but they have the rest of the team but that might just be pointless ranting. -
Hamill is the only Joker
A-fucking-men.
I love you Jack, I love you Heath, but Hammil is the one and only.
-
Given they went with the same Batman they used in Under the Red Hood, I wonder if they'd go for John DiMaggio's Joker.
-
Yea, this one.
Tmz9LsbQ8BEThat Joker was terrible. He looked like an ape and sounded like James Earl Jones with a sore throat.
-

I'm more interested in seeing which DC villains they use to comprise The Light. One of the silhouettes kind of looks like Star Sapphire, but I really have no good ideas as to who they are at all.
-
Given they went with the same Batman they used in Under the Red Hood, I wonder if they'd go for John DiMaggio's Joker.
I hope not. That Joker was more like a guy in a Joker costume. 'Lookit me kill some dudes without caring I'm so badass' blech
…Aaaand I was going to talk about why McDonald's doesn't have and Artemis or Me'gan toy but they have the rest of the team but that might just be pointless ranting.
what the fuck
-
I did like the Joker from under the Red hood.
"Ooh ooh! It's like a family reunion. Let's get a picture of me and Bats, then one of me and the kid, then one of all of us, then one with the crowbar….."
-
I love how you guys put Joker in a box. That's not like MY JOKER! Like its that black and white.
-
I like how you take the joker so seriously
The joker can be anything okay?? Even boring!!! It's all about interpretation!!!
-
I love how you guys put Joker in a box. That's not like MY JOKER! Like its that black and white.
Is not our fault Mark Hamill was perfect.
-
@RobbyBevard:
Emotions aren't logical.
Obviously, my arguement is just that she better get reemed out about it later or it's BS.
They could have easily stolen the soldier's water rations. And it was the runing gag on this chapter to forget about aqualad.
Obviously not or else don't you think they would done that? We see robin ninja up to the soilders in the scene right before and truthfully i thought thats what he was going to do but since he came back and said "You're the only one who can help him." It doesn't seem likely they had any water rations on them.

I see whatcha did there, cleaver!

I watched the episode…I liked it, and I wanna nitpick, but I won't.
But I don't remember the part where M'gann looks like a normal human and she says, "Hello, M'gann!" and then people laugh...? -

But I don't remember the part where M'gann looks like a normal human and she says, "Hello, M'gann!" and then people laugh...?It's possible that's a clip that was put in just so the flashbacks weren't 100% stuff we'd seen. They've been together for 6 months apparently, they've done more stuff than the roughly 3 hours we've seen them in action.

If there were soldiers without water rations on the dessert, then the league shouldn't have sended anyone, they would be dead in 2 days.

what the fuck
You mean my out of left field McDonald's stuff or why they don't have the two female characters?
[hide]We have Young Justice toys.
And because they're Boy Toys, there are no girls there. Instead, they have Flash, Superboy, Aqualad, Robin, Batman, Superman, Black Mantis and Captain Cold.
Because boys don't like female superheroes, apparently.
Then again, considering how when we have gender neutral toys parents will bring in a female character to trade in because they thought it was a 'girl toy', this sadly may have been a smart marketing move.
I don't collect many of their toys, but I wouldn't have minded taking an Artemis home with me (I do want Black Mantis, though).[/hide]
@Lazzie: Oh, you're right. Bane was independent. -
I kinda want those toys…I already have a B:TAS Robin on a bike, though...Don't think I need another...The Batman one is just weird to me...I like Kid Flash, though.

here's an idea Mcdonalds, how about making half boy characters and half girl characters? Then you'd have your gender specific toys
-
That's extra stupid leaving out the girls for the McDonalds toys. I don't know how kids are today but all the boys I knew growing up, played the hell out of girl dolls (if they were available in the home) and "action-figures" (whatever, they're dolls too) and did the same shit I did, which was to have all the Barbies and male action figures beat the hell out of each other, get involved in deep family/relationship drama and in general act like psychotics.
Aaaah I miss the days of doll-y make believe. :)

Man, that was awesome. I remember, not too long ago, I found a Batman toy in the couch, and my brother (who is 18) had Gohan, and I had Batman, and we made them fight, then he got annoyed, called me gay, took Batman and a hammer, went to the backyard, and proceeded to hammer the sh*t outta that toy…
(That had Batman, so it was sorta OT, right?)
-
Is it me or were the characters drawn better last episode?
-
No, I kept noticing M'Gann's hair looked much better than it normally does. From an…artistic point of view... Yeah. (is there any way of saying that so it doesnt come off as creepy?) O_o
-
They've been together for 6 months apparently, they've done more stuff than the roughly 3 hours we've seen them in action.
I don't think they have actually. I've been paying attention to the dates and the team was only formed at the start of August, and Robin's wrist watch said it was September. So unless they've been a team for over a year, it was just six months worth of memories (back till march) missing
-
The team started up in July, didn't it? The first episode was set on July 4th since they're shooting off fireworks when Deadbeat Superdad and Friends show up.
Still though, the memories stretched back before the team formed as M'Gann didn't even remember coming to Earth in the first place.
-
I just remember them getting their hideout around August 11-15ish. My sister and I both have birthdays in august
-

Ah. Fair enough. I hadn't been paying attention to the dates at all, but I suppose they HAVE been displaying them quite clearly.
Still more hanging out time than we've actually screen on screen, all the same. Tho I suppose if they were going to pad out with moments we hadn't seen, they would have added a couple more…
It's also possible that was a tiny moment cut from a different episode, or this ep aired one week out of sequence.
-
IIRC They made a statement that one of the early episodes had the month wrong. Greg Weisman was really upset about it. It may just be the ep Taboo was mentioning. Let me go see what I can find.
EDIT: here it is.
YOUNG JUSTICE TIMESTAMP HORROR
Yes, that's right. I said "horror". (For me, anyway.)Okay, as some of you probably have ALREADY noticed, two of the timestamps on Episode #4 of YOUNG JUSTICE ("Drop-Zone) is incorrect.
Here's the CORRECT timeline:
The beginning of the Teaser correctly reads:
SANTA PRISCA
JUNE 19, 00:43 ECTThe beginning of Act One SHOULD read:
CARIBBEAN SEA
JULY 22, 20:08 ECTAnd the tag at the end of the episode SHOULD read:
MOUNT JUSTICE
JULY 23, 10:01 EDTWe are fully aware that to some of our more serious-minded fans, these are huge errors. All I can say is that there's no possible way it's as traumatizing to you guys as it is to us.
I'm seriously not at all sure how this happened. We did review the timestamps, and they were correct, but obviously at some point during the process of post-production they were changed and nobody noticed it. We are ATTEMPTING to see if we can get them fixed for future airings, but it is clear there's no possible way to get it fixed in time for Sunday's airing. And I'm not sure if it's financially feasible to fix at all. But we will try. And in any case, we are instituting measures to make sure this never happens again on any future episodes. (Please, God.)
I am … ugh... just going nuts over this.
You have the sincere apologies of everyone on the Young Justice production crew.
This was for the Bane episode. Which still places the team forming in July. I'm sure there's going to be some story reason as to why they're bothering to keep track of "real time" in the first place.
-
When in doubt, go to wikipedia! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Young_Justice_episodes
Yeah, according to that they rescued Superboy on July 4th-5th, and they're officially a team with the introduction of Miss Martian on July 8th. Later on, Artemis join in on August 8th (I wonder if we're going to get a new member on September 8th?) and the most recent episode puts it at early September. Yeah, the timeline seems to fit, which means that they've been together for roughly 2 months, 1 month with Artemis (Robin and KF seems to know each other long before that though, makes sense considering they already active long before the team, and both Batman and Flash regularly meet at the Justice League).
Still, I do agree that Greg Weisman seems to overreact a bit over a minor mistake…either he's just a perfectionist, or the dates are going to be important. Considering it's him we're talking about, I wouldn't put it past him, to be honest. I wonder what it's going to be?
-
I'm sure there's going to be some story reason as to why they're bothering to keep track of "real time" in the first place.
Weisman likes putting dates on things. It grounds them in the real world and gives a frame of reference. Gargoyles is firmly set in 1994-1996, for instance, down to the months it took to clone Thailog, Fox to get pregnant and have a kid, and the cycle of the moon during October being important to the plot in the series finale.
Let alone issues 7-9 of the comic. I had the script for that timejumping randomness, and even I was confused.
@Saturn:

He's a perfectionist. Very much a perfectionist.
But also probably important to the plot. I wouldn't be surprised if there was an episode coming up that showed stuff that was going on at the same time as what we've already seen.
-
Apparently Bereft is the last episode until June. The staff asked for 2 weeks to do post, CN decided three months would be better.
It wasn't the intended stopping point.
LAME.

That really sucks. Where did you read this information? Only 8 episodes and a break? That could really hurt the momentum.

Wait, WHAT!? Seriously? Dear God, this really, really sucks…for what reason, really? Three whole months? 2 weeks I can stomach, but to wait all the way until June is simply way too long. Is there any good reason for this? Heck, if Japan, wrecked by tsunamis and earthquakes they are, can still keep their delay down to roughly a week at most, whatever possesses CN to make this decision? This is one bad point of western animation I really dislike, unlike for anime who has a rigid schedule, the shows can air randomly...
-

I heard it from a friend that hangs out with someone that works on the show. So, its unofficial and second hand, but its reliable.

CN are morons. There's a whole thread dedicated to that fact.
-
That is seriously gay balls
they'll never beat Disney with that attitude
-
No surprise there. Same thing happened to Generator Rex last year and Scooby Doo, Mysteries Inc. hasn't aired a new episode since October.
they'll never beat Disney with that attitude
Disney: "Hey, guys, we have this hit new show! How can we exploit it?"
CN: "Hey, guys, we have this hit new show! How can we kill it?"

If there were soldiers without water rations on the dessert, then the league shouldn't have sended anyone, they would be dead in 2 days.
So you're arguement is that robin is simply rock stupid and couldn't figure out to take the soilders water rations. The guy who was trained by batman. The guy who is a ninja/hacker/acrobat/soilder/swiss army knife?
-

Then your argument is that Batman cared to send a mission to take down a clan of suicidal soldiers?
The writers didn't think it through.
-
Hey guys, what's up?
Sees new YJ schedule
…Well, this will certainly give me a chance to give 'The Regular Show' a try, now won't it?
Plus I just got Game of Thrones in the mail today, so I'm still good. -

Or, you know. The first soldiers they tried didn't have canteens on them because they weren't planning on going anywhere and the water rations were somewhere else on the base.
