I know the whole 'Robin Williams playing Strange' is pretty much dead. But I found an interesting part of Nolan's interview
And Robin Williams, he was playing a pretty intense character, a homicidal maniac in many respects. Was that seriousness reflected in how he conducted himself on set?
"No, he was very much Robin Williams. He likes to perform. He could see I wasn't receptive to his comedy between takes, but he was always entertaining the crew. Then I'd say 'action,' and he'd just go right into what he was doing. I've seen his performance many times, and it's scarily real. There are moments when you don't think he was acting at all. He's an incredible talent. It was so interesting to watch these two actors who come from such different approaches and energy."
lol, even Nolan doesn't think Williams is funny. But hey the fact he admired his performance seems to hint that Nolan might see potential to portray a certain character.
I've been wondering what villain he could fit into.
Possibly Firefly?
Too fantastical.
The Mad Hatter?
Too ridiculous.
Who else could he portray? He'd most likely be too young to be someone
like the Ventriloquist,
Cameo.
I think Ventriloquist could appear in this film.
He would be an arkham Aslyum escapee in the Nolan verse and would be fodder. Zsasz has a better chance of reappearing in this film, because of Bane in it then Ventriloquist. But maybe he could play a role similar, but I don't think he'll be a 'villain' in that sense.
or Hugo Strange.
Agreed. He'd he needs to be older and he doesn't strike me as Harvey Bullock.
EDIT: Mad hatter probably wouldn't work. I'd say Clayface if he could somehow be grounded in the gritty realism that Nolan usually does with Batman.
Serial-killer Clayface? The one with the theatrical mask?(similar to Scarecrow) he would be easy to fit in this verse, but wouldn't really fit with the themes for this series. At his core, that version killed movie-actors out of hatred. He wouldn't make much a of a main-villain, and would probably serve as a side-one like a lackey of someone.
Come to think of it, I'd really like to see Firefly in a movie. He hasn't really had that much exposure.
It seems kinda doubtful because with the way the Nolan-verse is you can't do him justice. Firefly is bit 'out there' for his verse.
