Are you sure? Caribou's crew are all oddly fat and round, while it might slightly look like they're in bubbles you can clearly see their arms. You also see Coriboo blowing bubbles into the water. There's no real reason for him to be in the water and everyone else to be in bubbles.

Yeah, I totally agree. Urouge and I were talking about what would happen between him and the crew back during chapter… uhh 602 or 603, and my biggest concern was that he maintain credibility as a villain. Pretty disappointed.

I'm not too worried about him maintaining credibility. He is intimidated by the Strawhats, but I think he may also be more of a schemer than he is a fighter. We know that instead of just outright attacking the Strawhats he attempted to join them to take them down from the inside. Also when the Strawhats tie him up he's fully capable of escaping, but instead he decides to keep a low profile and attack when the time is right. I believe that, despite murderous inclinations, he knows when to attack and when to lurk in the shadows, which will make him a competent adversary.

I always thought a Logia would fit nicely into the Straw-hats crew, even if he has minimal fighting scenes.No, you are wrong, stop supporting this mornic notion. A logia does not need to join the crew for the crew to be successful.

For me Caribou's credibility as a villain actually increased. We know there's no way a rookie can stand up to the New World level Straw Hats. Him being any sort of threat to them via a direct battle would have been lame and terrible to the power system. The fact that he didn't just charge in and get OTKed like a one note fodder villain that he is to them tells me he's more intelligent and cunning and devious than initially though. Plus Oda's totally gonna use him to shatter the notion that being Logia makes you invincible no matter your status in terms of power. It'd be especially awesome if the weak trio were enough but I guess just Franky or Robin would do.

It was'nt because he was a logia, it was because they got built up somewhat, the designs looked crazy and they were burying people alive. Plus he stated he wanted to join the SH's to destroy them from the inside which indicated a cool craziness to him.
