Was curious about that to. If he's really hanging onto the ship because of the pull towards the depths, how come we don't see any other SH's hanging on?
still the weakest??? lol that's all i got

Am I the only person who is thinking ussop kind of is resembling Lucci or am I insane which is a possibility.
the same person draws both so of course they will look the same in some ways
different skin color thou
@Chopper:
still the weakest??? lol that's all i got
Doesn't make any sense.
Just look at the other SH's, they're all raising their hands. So how come Usopp needs to hang to the railing. Shouldn't rest be holding onto something as well?
seriously, i thought he was doing a handstand to demonstrate his manliness. It could be a handstand.
Uhm… I hate to state the obvious on this one... but land plants don't photosynthesize well in pitch black underwater depths, so you're not going to generate O2 that way. It's certainly possible that Oda will put in a super powered plant, like the ones from Hercules' island that don't need to abide by the rules of conventional reality, but a standard garden ain't gonna do the trick.
LOL, you got me here(iam a biology student)
Haven`t thought about that.
Another guess is that they have shops(something like that) at FI to refill fresh air via a specific plant\thing that creates oxygen underwater.
Afterall FI has to have some kind of system to let non-fishman wander around there freely.
They sure use also some kind of Shabondy bubble which has to be filled with oxygen.(when not the whole place is surrounded by a huge bubble or something like that)
That oxygen has to be produced with something, which could also refill the oxygen on the TS while they`re there.
My Ride Or Die Boyz
I think that the crew is complete.
I would love for the crew to get to 10, but after this kind of reunion, it trully does feel like someone new wouldn't have the bond that they have. The "but Brook, Franky, Robin, Chopper weren't in THAT moment" doesn't cut it, it wasn't a moment, it was 2 years of hard work invested in the gathering of the crew.
This is quite true. With all this excitement that comes with the post timeskip…I really never stopped to think about the next crew member and how that would make me feel compared to the rest of the SH's. It's true that a certain bond can be lost because of what the seperation did to bring the SH's (and the readers) closer.
The only way an additional member would work, in my opinion, is that it HAS to be someone we already know...obviously someone who survived the 2 year timeskip.
If I had to put my money on the one solid Strawhat choice that wouldn't bear the weight of the crews bond with eachother would be Sabo.
Sabo was there before any of the SH's were there, he is the 3rd brother, and the only one left that can REALLY relate to Luffy's loss of Ace. Sabo has already been through enough, probably worst than what some (if not all) of the SH's went through during the 2 years.
I dunno....thoughts?
@Gia:
seriously, i thought he was doing a handstand to demonstrate his manliness. It could be a handstand.
Pay attention to his legs pose. If he was pulled down he would have 'em straight? Meh i kinda hate it but looks like he's holding on altho luffy is standing there with raised hands… Maybe Usopp raised his legs to be badass ?
Ace, Luffy and Sabo swore they would fulfill their dreams on their own.
Become strong pirates on their own without their brothers(or else they could have sailed togeather from the beginning).
Ace said that they knew that everyone will have their own adventure and own storys.. they sure are still brothers and fight for each other, but they all want to do their own thing in the end.
I guess Sabo would never join one of his other brothers even when he has no crew or anything else to do.
It wouldn`t be the same to be under one of his brothers to do so.
Ace asked Luffy if he would join the first time they met in Alabasta, but he definitely knew that Luffy would never agree to something like that.
I just had this questions after re-reading the past ch. Robin didn't know about Brook while Franky who was on a frozen isolated island knew about the Soul King. Where and what has Robin been doing for the past 2 yrs.
Pay attention to his legs pose. If he was pulled down he would have 'em straight? Meh i kinda hate it but looks like he's holding on altho luffy is standing there with raised hands… Maybe Usopp raised his legs to be badass ?
People are looking far too into this, Oda is just trying to continue the gag he has had since chapter 598 where he said "I am a warrior now who is never surprised by anything" yet he has been surprised by everything even that the ship didn't move on its own once it wet underwater. This says nothing about his strength, but if Usopp never worried and was never surprised, wouldnt his goal of being a "Brave" warrior of the sea already have been accomplished? The way I like to see it is that he has become a warrior in terms of how much stronger he has grown but he can not be classified as brave yet, so just like luffy is halfway to becoming PK, Usopp is half way to accomplishing his dream.
**Usopp just has a silly personality. That's the only reason he's holding onto something when no one else is. Doesn't mean anything.
I swear, everything Usopp has done and will do since the timeskip seem like it's under a microscope.**
With Age Comes Change
@Don:
Ace, Luffy and Sabo swore they would fulfill their dreams on their own.
Become strong pirates on their own without their brothers(or else they could have sailed togeather from the beginning).
Ace and Sabo were saving to leave together. They all had the dreams and ambitions to roam the free open sea. Unfortunately due to the situation that went down in that Kingdom…things didn't really go according to plan.
Ace said that they knew that everyone will have their own adventure and own storys.. they sure are still brothers and fight for each other, but they all wanted to do their own thing in the end.
Fixed. Think about it. Technically they all already have their own stories to tell. We do not know what happened to Sabo for sure. Remember he wanted to become a Pirate but there is a big chance that he is a Revolutionary. Things change over time especially when your own limits and strengths are realized and/or challenged. It wouldn't be wrong if Sabo decided to help Luffy become PK just like Ace was trying to do for WB…as family.
I guess Sabo would never join one of his other brothers even when he has no crew or anything else to do.
You guess? Cmon Don…you know better than that. You nor I have ANY idea what is going through Sabo's head right now and we cannot make ANY judgements as to what he would or wouldn't do at this point. So the possibility of him being a candidate for the 10th Straw Hat is still solidly there.
It wouldn`t be the same to be under one of his brothers to do so.
Ace asked Luffy if he would join the first time they met in Alabasta, but he definitely knew that Luffy would never agree to something like that.
Ace did ask…whether he knew what Luffy's answer would be or not he still asked. If Luffy said yes, you think Ace would have said "Oh Nevermind, I didn't think you'd say yes." ?
All I am saying is that we cannot speak for Sabo regarding ANYTHING at this point because we don't know what's going on with him and how his personality has developed now that he is grown.
Sabo's candidacy into the Straw Hats is definitely a stern possibility in my book.
I just had this questions after re-reading the past ch. Robin didn't know about Brook while Franky who was on a frozen isolated island knew about the Soul King. Where and what has Robin been doing for the past 2 yrs.
Franky could have found out after he got to Sabody since it was a few days before Robin arrived. I thought we knew Robin has been running with Dragon's men for the past 2 years? Or is that not confirmed?
Ace and Sabo were saving to leave together. They all had the dreams and ambitions to roam the free open sea. Unfortunately due to the situation that went down in that Kingdom…things didn't really go according to plan.
So yeah, sure Sabo and Ace may have founded a pirate crew togeather but it didnt happen. So everyone went his own way in having adventures and hunting down his dream..alone. It was never important to do it togeather..it was important to do it in which way life may present it to them. Sabo couldn
t live any longer at Goa Kingdom and decided to go on his own without saying "Hey Ace cmon now..go with me." He could have done that..but why hasn
t he?
In my eyes because it was HIS problem and so he wanted to conquer it somehow on his own, without his brothers.
Fixed. Think about it. Technically they all already have their own stories to tell. We do not know what happened to Sabo for sure. Yup, they all have their own stories to tell..they all lived their own lifes so far without a problem as it seems(we dont know for Sabo..and Ace..well did not so good, lol) and i don
t know why Sabo should now chance his life just like that, just because his dream is now suddenly to help Luffy become PK.^^
So sure i dont want to say that your thoughts could never become true, but i just think it won
t happen,as long as Oda doesnt give us a huge turning point for Sabo, which is right now just in your fantasy\fanfic.. It
s more likely that he loves to see Luffy so close and fulfilling his dream like that, but still i think its more like Sabo(well, we don
t know his chara that good so far anyways) still wants to hunt down HIS OWN DREAMS.
And yeah, when his dreams does become somehow to help Luffy thats possible that he joins…but right now it would be more likely that Oda shows that each brother did go his own way and lived it to the end.
Not giving us readers the impression..well one dream of the brothers didn`t come 100% true, so now he helps his brother fulfilling his dream..meh
You guess? Cmon Don…you know better than that. You nor I have ANY idea what is going through Sabo's head right now and we cannot make ANY judgements as to what he would or wouldn't do at this point. So the possibility of him being a candidate for the 10th Straw Hat is still solidly there.
Sure we don`t know for sure.
Thats why i said what i think is more likely because you said:
I dunno….thoughts?
Thats with every theory someone brings here..it could happen and cant be proven wrong right now. That just doesn
t make it a good one without any hints which may point towards it.
And i see nothing for your theory other than you hoping he may could have changed, he may likes now to help Luffy etc,
Ace did ask…whether he knew what Luffy's answer would be or not he still asked. If Luffy said yes, you think Ace would have said "Oh Nevermind, I didn't think you'd say yes." ?
Lol, for sure not..
But he definitelöy knew his brother rly well and would have been shocked when Luffy would have said :"Yeah of course"
That simple wouldn`t have been his brother he knew and in my eyes it was more something like a test for his little brother.
Something like.."still hunting your dreams without going away an inch for it^^"
All I am saying is that we cannot speak for Sabo regarding ANYTHING at this point because we don't know what's going on with him and how his personality has developed now that he is grown.
So just don`t start bringing holdless arguements.
It sure can happen and is maybe a nice fanfic for you..but there are no arguements or hints anywhere which would back them up even a little bit.
Sabo's candidacy into the Straw Hats is definitely a stern possibility in my book.
My book says that now after so many years without having any contact to Luffy Sabo may have lived his own life with now chasing maybe new dreams..but which are HIS dreams.
And as long as those new dreams aren`t fulfilled\gone, he has no reason to now suddenly help Luffy after so many years.
We may need an arc based around him to reach what you hope.
Edit: Sry for my bad gramma, but iam now to lazy to correct it to a version which still would have many mistakes..so screw it.
I guess you`re used to it anyways.
Maybe Fishman Island is something like Atlantis from that animated movie of the same name. They go deep under the water, in a hole, then a little bit up, and the city is there above the water, though they are still underwater. I don't quite remember why the water wasn't filling everything up, but whatever.
Although it makes more sense that the fishman people live under water so I don't know.
Also, first page…why did zoro thank Rayleigh? Doesnt seem to make any sense.

He saved them all from death?

The guy who trained his captn, who was there for Luffy in such a hard time after Ace
s death, the guy who helped the crew so much rly deserves a "thank you" from Zoro.
The Mirrored Effect
@Don:
So yeah, sure Sabo and Ace may have founded a pirate crew togeather but it didn`t happen.
So everyone went his own way in having adventures and hunting down his dream..alone.
It was never important to do it togeather..it was important to do it in which way life may present it to them.
The Point I was trying to make is that from the START they planned on doing it TOGETHER and not ALONE. It just ended up that way. For you to say it was never important to do it together is your opinion and not based on fact.
Sabo couldn
t live any longer at Goa Kingdom and decided to go on his own without saying "Hey Ace c
mon now..go with me."
He could have done that..but why hasn`t he?
In my eyes because it was HIS problem and so he wanted to conquer it somehow on his own, without his brothers.
Sabo did not want to get Ace and Luffy involved in his situation with his lineage and heritage. Sabo wanted to leave together with Ace but after his father threatened them and after shit went down badly for the whole Kingdom, Sabo needed to take matters into his own hands without risking the lives and dreams of Ace and Luffy. Ace didn't want Sabo to do it alone, and I bet Sabo didn't want to either but he did…and unfortunately it got him blowed up.
Yup, they all have their own stories to tell..they all lived their own lifes so far without a problem as it seems(we don
t know for Sabo..and Ace..well did not so good,lol) and i don
t know why Sabo should now chance his life just like that, just because his dream is now suddenly to help Luffy become PK.^^
I never said that Sabos dream would be to help Luffy. Sabo has his own dream which really isn't a specific one. Roam the open sea and live a life opposite of the opression he recieved from being a noble and living that life. Becoming a Revolutionary would be the total opposite of the life he lived…as a revolutionary he has freedom to do what's right by himself and the people and he could counter the nobles and do so much...maybe even save a young child that is in the position he once was. All the Straw Hats have specific dreams...none of them are literally "To Help Luffy become P.K." By being with Luffy, they are on the road to fulfilling there own dreams and at the same time helping Luffy. The same can totally apply for Sabo, especially since there is a huge connection between Luffy, Dragon, Sabo, and the Revolutionaries.
So sure i don
t want to say that your thoughts could never become true, but i just think it won
t happen,as long as Oda doesn`t give us a huge turning point for Sabo, which is right now just in your fantasy\fanfic..
Oda has not given much info on post-flashback Sabo at all. So all the "I just think"s and "maybes" YOU and I are spitting out are right now are "just in your fantasy\fanfic" as well with no REAL base for your beliefs…just as you claim for me.
It
s more likely that he loves to see Luffy so close and fulfilling his dream like that, but still i think it
s more like Sabo(well, we don`t know his chara that good so far anyways) still wants to hunt down HIS OWN DREAMS.
Again another fantasy/fanfic opinion. You WANT Sabo to be hungry for his dreams to the point that joining the SH's seems unlikely because "Sabo is out pursuing his own shit and has no time to help his brother"… that is what you expect, but it's really based on nothing but bits and pieces of a flashback that happened YEARS ago.
Again, I never said anything about Sabo making his dream to help Luffy. It's not more than likely of anything. Ace went his own way and died. Oda took Ace out in the middle of the story and at the same time revealed a 3rd brother who's information and whereabouts till this very day is unknown. Oda wouldn't have made Sabo a "brother" if he wasn't important. It wouldn't be wrong to expect Sabo to have the same effect on the story as Ace did. One way that COULD happen is if Sabo joins the SH's, at the same time filling a void that is in Luffy's heart because of his own incident and because of Ace's death.
Sabo could very well be fulfilling his dream right now. There is no telling.
And i see nothing for your theory other than you hoping he may could have changed, he may likes now to help Luffy etc,
Honestly I think YOU are so hell bent on Sabo being a certain way that you don't WANT to see the possibility of him joining as a truly valid one…although you admit it is possible...but you really don't lol.
I admit that Oda could do a whole lot of other things with Sabo that don't involve him joining the SH's ever. Im not stuck on the idea, but I think it is a valid one and it would fit. Oda is very unpredictable most times so as we both are agreeing, there really is no way we can lean toward any side due to the extreme lack of information on Sabo.
So just don`t start bringing holdless arguements.
It sure can happen and is maybe a nice fanfic for you..but there are no arguements or hints anywhere which would back them up even a little bit.
Ya gotta look in the mirror and say that too Don.
My book says that now after so many years without having any contact to Luffy Sabo may have lived his own life with now chasing maybe new dreams..but which are HIS dreams.
Yeah there was no contact. Yeah Sabo is probably out there fulfilling his dreams…maybe even new ones...yup....
And as long as those new dreams aren`t fulfilled\gone, he has no reason to now suddenly help Luffy after so many years.
We may need an arc based around him to reach what you hope.
Woah woah your buggin'. You don't know what's going on with Sabo, there is no way you can really make this statement and have it float. As I mentioned above, the SH's all have there own dreams and yet they still are with and helping Luffy and are making progress in fulfilling there own dreams while doing so…the exact same can fairly be applied to Sabo depending on his current situation...which ties in with us DEFINITELY needing a Sabo arc to find out once and for all where Sabo stands in terms of the story and the brotherhood between himself, Luffy and Ace.
@Gia:
seriously, i thought he was doing a handstand to demonstrate his manliness. It could be a handstand.
I thought you were joking at first, but looking at it again it looks like Chopper is watching him with his arms raised as if if he was cheering xD So who knows? Though, his hands look strangely placed for a handstand.
I don't understand why Sabo didn't show up at the war to try and save Ace. Anyone have a guess? I'm hoping for something better than amnesia.

Considering all the other types of fishmen, there has to be an electric eel fishman. Without getting into voltage or whatever, since I don't really understand it, they could just use a form of electrolysis to turn water into hydrogen and oxygen.
The question would then be how they separate the two.
Even if they had some way of creating oxygen, they need to add in other gasses just to keep the percentage by volume of O2 around 20% or so. Add in the difficulty of having uniform dispersion in an island with no wind and you increase the difficulty.
Though all this supposes a science in OP that we actually understand.
Chopper: "I still hear some voices left over"
Colors of observation maybe?
Thats what I suggested. But I was heavily persecuted for my assumption.
Its either that, or he has crazy good hearing.
@Cyan:
Because it's not like animals have acute hearing right.
Because it's not like Choppers ever said that during the other dozen and a half times they were being followed by marines right.
Chopper: "I still hear some voices left over"
Colors of observation maybe?
Okay, not picking on this quote in particular but let's clear this up.
Usopp asked 'did you guys beat all the marines chasing you?'. The marines chasing them in grove 46/45 whatever. Chopper said no, I heard voices leftover. Past tense -not present- as in 'when I was leaving grove 46 on the giant bird with Luffy and co. I heard a lot more voices (marines) were chasing after us'. Then the crew remark thier surprise that the marines are no longer chasing after them and Usopp is curious as to the reason why that the marines are no longer chasing them(perhaps due to his paranoid nature). So he has the question mark over his head because he is trying to figure out what happened.
Neither Chopper nor Usopp were showing any signs of potential Haki usage. :)
Thats what I suggested. But I was heavily persecuted for my assumption.
Its either that, or he has crazy good hearing.
We don't know that Chopper can use haki. Until we do know saying it was CoO reminds me of everyone that went back through the last 600 chapters and decided everything that wasn't completely explained had to be some sort of haki.
I don't disagree that it might be haki, but we don't know.
Though I think it more likely that its his hearing. In this case I'm just going with the fact that he's a doctor and who knows what he learned or did to himself during the 2 years.
Yeah, I don't have any proof for my theory either. I just like it because it isn't "haki is everything!".
The Point I was trying to make is that from the START they planned on doing it TOGETHER and not ALONE. It just ended up that way. For you to say it was never important to do it together is your opinion and not based on fact.
Just tried to say that it was in the end not the most important part for them to do it together..it was just important that they could live such a life..nevermind how exactly.
Also it was more a thing between Ace and Sabo.
I see what you mean, but when he is a revolutionary(what i also think)we first need a plot\arc which brings Sabo to the decision to leave his life as a revolutionary and entering the life of a pirate.(Or he sees it necessary to fight now the WG while being on Luffys ship) He sure can do so, but thats all speculation without any backup. And you were even thinking two steps ahead when you say Sabo could join in the end. We can
t even say for sure that he is a revolutionary instead of already being a pirate and then he has no reason so far to leave his crew to go with Luffy.
Oda has not given much info on post-flashback Sabo at all. So all the "I just think"s and "maybes" YOU and I are spitting out are right now are "just in your fantasy\fanfic" as well with no REAL base for your beliefs…just as you claim for me.

Exactly, but you`re the one who made that theory while i just was not buying that Sabo may join in the future.
For that i had to expand for you my version of the story..so using the same method as you…dubidu:whistling:
Ya gotta look in the mirror and say that too Don.
You`re my "man in the mirror" i guess…dammit!

Just Mansopp intuition that's all

Okay a bit much science here i guess.
Oda will use another race of cochleas to get this work.
Maybe a type which you only have to put in your mouth to be able to breath underwater.
I don't understand why Sabo didn't show up at the war to try and save Ace. Anyone have a guess? I'm hoping for something better than amnesia.
I got a guess, not a good one but:
Maybe Sabo and Ace met and had a falling out. Ace doesn't mention it to Luffy because he didn't know Sabo was Sabo.
I think it may have been haki with Chopper as the language he used "I can hear some voices left over" suggests that it is haki. If it were just hearing he would have said "I can still hear people"
Bromance Dawn

For that i had to expand for you my version of the story..so using the same method as you…dubidu:whistling:
You`re my "man in the mirror" i guess...dammit!
Oh the bromance!
In the end, all I REALLY want is for Sabo to impact the story just as Ace did…I want one more OMF HOLY MOTHER OF GOD moments in the series...just like the chapter of Aces death...
I would have thought Chopper could have smelt the marines instead of hearing them
Or confirmed death o_o

Thank you. I honestly don't see what is so hard to understand about that line.
Does the TS not have any of Nami's orange trees? I'm just wondering why everyone is so worried about oxygen in their bubble, because I'm sure Franky can build artificial light sources. The One Piece world as a whole may seem primitive, but they have fucking robots. It's not like no one invented an ultraviolet light bulb.
I wonder about if they are complete as well. But that makes me look forward to a new crew member. I wonder what kind of personality and what kind of interaction will it bring into the Strawhats!!
I really can't wait to see this episode animated and hear their voice actors! This was the funniest and enjoyable for me at the moment!
I would love a skypeia kind of arc for the Fishman Island… something that wreaks of pure adventure which was what Sky Island was about! It was truly fun though at times I felt it was boring, when I re-watched it again, there was a tremendous amount of details into the plot, the ideas of the island.. the white-white sea etc. that were simply too brilliant but easily forgotten.
I'm looking forward to that kind of story again! And I can't wait to see the reaction of the world to the news of Strawhats return ~
Wow, people are still talking about this chopper/haki thing?
Haki is starting to make me dislike OP fans.
I'm pretty sure that since Haki has been explained to us by Oda via Rayleigh Oda will make it very clear to us when Haki is being used. Even when we didn't know haki he let us know something happened.
Shanks with the Sea King, Sky Island mantra, Shanks boarding Whitebeard's ship, Garp punching Luffy and Sanji wondering how it hurt since he was rubber, when Luffy knocked out Motobaro, when Rayleigh saved Caime, Sentomaru/Rayleigh when the Straw Hats were separated, when Luffy fought Hancock's sisters, and Luffy/Coby/Hancock/Shanks during the war. And some I might have left out but it has been very obvious when haki has been used.
Haki has even been obvious to us when it has been used since the timeskip. I just don't understand why people are wanting to assume every little thing is haki. Oda is not a horrible writer like Kubo. He will let us know in some way, shape, or form if haki is being used. He's not going to sneak it in the chapter for it to go unnoticed.
Before timeskip Zoro had used haki as well.
Just one time but it is surely CoO.
I doubt anyone in SH's crew, expect Luffy, Zoro and Sanji would master haki.
Before timeskip Zoro had used haki as well.
Just one time but it is surely CoO.

Emm..no
haha.
I doubt anyone in SH's crew, expect Luffy, Zoro and Sanji would master haki.
I'll agree with this point
Hard to tell now, but who knows…they're gonna be the strongest crew of the OP world, that's for sure, so why not...
@Monkey:
Haha I understand what you feel but I can also understand that Haki is a very interesting new power in One Piece besides Devil Fruits. So, maybe people are just really excited to see the rest of the Strawhats have some degree of Haki as well as that makes the entire crew much cooler or stronger to some extent, perhaps.
I find it already cool if all SH pirates can withstand the CoC. :D I do want to see Zoro and Sanji manifest this power as well as it'll make them cooler, imo.
The One Piece world as a whole may seem primitive, but they have fucking robots.
You might have been thinking that to yourself, but you said it outloud and that's pretty rude!
(I'm obviously not serious, and I hope everyone gets the reference)

Why, whatever could you be talking about? :whistling:
Anyone notice that Luffy had the scar during Rayleigh's flash back?
