It's unlikely in my opinion that one of the three admirals was promoted to fleet admiral.
There has to be a few new powerful characters in the marines we've yet to see, and two years is a significant enough time to introduce somebody new.

I noticed that too, during my second run-through the chapter. It added to the awesomeness. Also, it says "BOO~N!!" (Puns even in the sound effects…)
Has anyone found Pandaman in this chapter? It's pretty hard to make him out in the huge crowd...

I enjoy reading each chapter over and over to pick up little details I might have missed. Just this run-through, I noticed that the sound effects at Brook's stage read "BON" rather than the usual "DON", and that the volcanoes on Rusukaina Island are always active. Just little things…

First because everyone expect Akainu to be the fleet amiral and i like when Oda pull a "who would have guess that one ?"
Second because moving HQ wasn't a radical decision : Whitebeard territory (probably the third largest after WG and Dragon) is now ready to be conquer. It's the biggest opportunity for the WG and marines since..well, a very long time.
i think most people first thinks that aokiji will be the next fleet admiral because of sengoku's recommendation <including me="" at="" first="">..but after some thinking, i think akainu will be the new fleet admiral simply because the marines needs a change in personality..if aokiji is the fleet admiral, they will be more or less the same as sengoku's era..but if akainu's FA, he will be more strict, brutal, and has a different "sense of justice" or something like that..and he's a fitting opponent when strawhats vs marines time comes..

I got this crazy idea about sanji's new hairstyle…what if his older eyes (right) was so tainted by the sight of okama that it become permanently damaged..i.e. EVERY girl he sees with his right eye will LOOK LIKE OKAMA! meaning he can fight girls if and only if he sees it with his right eye!
I could imagine sanji refused to fight a woman and then suddenly the wind blows and BAM he sees okama in front of him and fill with rage ROLF!

Maybe Kuma was in a similar situation once, and that would be why he accepted to become Shichibukai and why he then accepted Vegapunk proposal: his human body has been recomposed free of any DF and the real Kuma is now leaving free somewhere without anyone knowing it.

I don't want luffy to fight against just everybody now. Just like whitebeard doesn't join the fight until he is really needed. I want the crew to handle the trash without luffy getting involved it. I want it to work that way, but that's just me. Maybe ussop, nami, and robin taking out the small guys. Chopper with his monster taking out the medium level guys along with franky and finally the big three fighting with the main guys only.

Yes, that is how I am imagining it too, but I am thinking off it a little differntly. I think the marines will get involved too because of the fake straw hats alerting them. Then the mugiwaras beating the shit out of the marines and heading to FI. That followed by what you said….people reading headlines all over the world. Smoker, luffy's island, vivi, supernovas, etc. etc.

Yeah I saw that and thought it was pretty sweet until I noticed he intended to make it obvious from his expression and the way he fell that he got his kneecap popped, not to mention he deliberately had the fellow cursing (ie. HELLO I'M ALIVE) after he fell.
