Looks to me like Blackbeard was trying to trade Bonney in to the world government for something, most likely a new ship. If I was after a particular ship, that was in the possession of the world government, fighting them would probably be the last place I'd want to start.
I'd honestly rather have Bonney as a new crew-mate than Hancock or Jimbei or Perona or some other stupid character..

My mind keeps on going back to Kuma when I reread this chapter. It'll be really interesting to see if he sent the Strawhats to their own seperate islands on his own accord or if he was acting under orders/guidelines from the Marines. Even if the online transcriptions make it seem as if he didn't know exactly where he'd sent the crew.
Some people mentioned this in the spoiler thread, but its a good development to see Chopper break out of his cute mascot role for a bit and focus on being a badass doctor.
Between Luffy's soon-to-be Haki training and Sanji's newkama cuisine, he's going to get a massive power boost.

akainu is a friggen admiral who fisted fire fist ace through the chest. even if the blackbeard pirates did put a fight, the death of an admiral would cause a shitload of attention towards the BB pirates, and would probably be hunted off the face of the OP world

I couldn't agree more, Jeez, you'd think that they never heard the word Fuck before. Need I remind them that this IS Arlong Park. And besides, I actually for one think that characters should use more profanity. It makes the level and state of their emotions (like anger, grief, or defiance) more easy to understand rather than euphemisms (such as "darn" or "shucks") instead. Seriously.
Bonney actually made the chapter for me more than anything else. I loved her defiant attitude and thought that her "Fuck You, You Bearded Pig" comment was hilarious when she kicked him. I talked about this in the spoiler thread but I'll just repost my thoughts here.
So far in the series, Akainu did not look concerned about the Whitebeard War and fought against Whitebeard like it was a trivial matter, without fear. He even managed to erase HALF OF NEWGATE'S FACE. A FREAKING YONKOU. WITH A DEVIL FRUIT THAT COULD DESTROY THE WORLD. Even two Point-Blank direct earthquake hits didn't slow him down. He also completly can coldly fisted Ace to death and showed no fear in fighting the remainder of the Whitebeard Pirates + Crocodile + Jimbei + Ivankov while chasing Luffy and still orderd the other admirals after him even when SHANKS arrived to end the war. Yet judging from the Chapter translations a rookie like Bonney's escape from the World Government gave him SHIVERS? I find this interesting and highly suspicous. There must be alot more to this then mets the eye.

What point did the Moria fiasco have story wise?
1. Did it hype up Doflamingo abilities and thus the world government ruthlessness? No obviously not.
2. Was it done to let Moria stop being a warlord so he could affect the story differently? Probably not, as everything Moria is able to affect on in the future storyline could have been done with him retaining his, position, although losing the position puts him on the bottom, and thus needs to build his former power, but nonetheless probably not.
3. Was it done to open a 3rd open spot in the warlord position? Probably, thus it means that Oda is ready with 3 new schichibukais to affect the storyline. Which is pretty cool and makes me excited, and from what we heard from the gourousei they are going to think it well through.
And also Bonneys bounty was probably that high because of how important she is for the WG. I also believe that Capones bounty is that high because of the danger his power have for the WG, but not his battling or pirating skills.
He is a one man army( this is a guess from his DF powers, although we dont know a lot about it), and him joining a threat to the WG wouldnt be too good for the WG.

There is not even a "Monster point", that's a fan thing. The official name of his ultimate form, according to OP Yellow iirc, is Berserk Chopper.
Regarding Moria's escape…maybe it's just me, but it seems that Binktopia's shitty translation somehow made the possible Absalom interference less evident.
