lol, I see. Well, the battle with Bellamy's cohorts was disappointing as it was embarassing (to say the least).
Bellamy = got crushed by Luffy
Sarquiss = got crushed by Teech; Blackbeard (Teach)
thus bringing down their morale.

You can really only nitpick through this Manga to find anything really disappointing
However something that I fear will not just disappoint but devastate me would be what the One Piece really is..I am truly afraid it will turn out to be some metaphysical crap like a mirror…that would suck-ass
Please Oda do not ruin it and go all Disney/Shonen on us, make it something unexpected..

If Roger was anything like Luffy (And according to his crew, he was), it's probably a piece of paper saying "Hope the adventure was great".
Luffy: "…FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUU-"
Probably more like
"That was FFFFFFFFFUUUUUUUUUNNNN!"
I think it's stupid that every strong guy has to have either a devil fruit or Haki (or both). I mean, weren't devil fruits and Haki supposed to be kinda rare? I just thought it was stupid Garp was pretty much the only strong and badass character in the war who hasn't a devil fruit.
@ GaaraofTheDesert : yes how dare a swordsman use a sword to fight people . :P
And come on that spread was epicly dirty .
Off the top of my head, the current flashback and the general lack of Nojiko. >_>'
for me its:
Zoro's fights after Arlong Park are too dull.
Franky joining and then not doing anything important.
Robin + Chopper tag fight being cut short.
No Sadi-Chan vs Ivankov fight seen.
Everything after ID finishing to current chapter has been boring. Hurry up and bring the crew back!
Uhm Franky joined up only two arcs before the seperation and got lots of screentime before , so when Brook came on I thought it was a given he would be slightly in the backdrop for a while .
And ehm , there was a fight between Ivankov and Sadi chan .
What I think is dissapointing is Saldeath not doing anything . Hannyabal did more then him .

Did we actually see it? Last I recall there starting to be a fight. Cut away. Next scene was Sadi-Chan tied up.
Yeah. Saldeath not doing anything was poor too. To a lesser extent as was Domino.
Domino seems to be just a named guard though . Certainly had bigger expecations for Saldeath .
And yeah I think it cut away after a while .
The fights in Imperial Down weren't epic enough :/

Hard to fight when you're running for your life.
The way how Ace dies…
Honestly, magma is not hotter than fire! I've made a post about this on "Questions that don't deserve their own thread"...
"Magma is hotter than fire" isn't such a bad way to go - bizarre, but not bad per se.
Anyways, my annoying things are whenever a series with as good a plot as OP falls short the way that stories much more mediocre than it do. E.g., the rare instance of bad storytelling (TB's ending with Kuma comes to mind). Just remember that if you've got a mostly white record, then one serious blemish really stands out.
Another annoying thing is the looming threat to me that this manga will - most likely - STILL be serialized when I'm married and with children.
The War hands down. To me it was the biggest pile of shit Oda that ever came out of Oda's feather.

Agreed.
Except for Ace and WB dying. That was good

no, i think it was the way ace protecting luffy. hmm…it's like ace lowering his power?? if magma fist can go through ace's fire body then there was no point ace blocked akainu fist with his body (the fist will hit luffy)
Can anyone point out why the war was disappointing?
For me, it felt rushed.
@joekido:

rushed, not enough time to focus on anyone aside from Ace, Luffy, WB and the Admirals. Most of the major hyped up players either ignored or 'ran past.' and pretty much Ace in general.
Oh and I'd like to point out that WB brought along with him a bunch of chars that were little more than filler. (Jozu, Marco, Vista and Squad excluded.)
What do I not like about One Piece? Hmmm….difficult one. I really love almost everything about OP. Even when I think of something I don't like I look at it in a different context and I like it. However, I do have one. I am not sold on the whole 'Haki' thing yet.
I have always liked that there was nothing particularly special about Luffy. Sure he is strong and he has the power of the devil fruit but he never had a 'nine tales' element that he could pull out of his ass to save himself whenever he needed it (he has already used his 'Kings Disposition' Haki to save his ass back in Amazon Lily.) I also don't like that Luffy's Haki is special and unique compared to most, it makes it seem like he is destined to be the King instead of him just being an extremely driven individual. Knowing Oda, he will find a way to sell me on the idea but as of now I am still leery of it.
:ninja:

Zoro v. Daz Bones was literally one of my favorite OP fights (to each his own I s'pose)
@JERK:
There is no goddamn seastone plothole.
Really?
Imagine how dangerous Don Krieg would STILL be if he had his weapons outfitted with seastone? Luffy would have never made it past getting spiked in his fight with Krieg (or it would have been a much tougher fight at least).

That rather seems to be part of an unwritten rule in stories like these to not use a protagonists weakness in such an excessive manner. The same thing you've asked would apply in the very first story that uses such weaknesses, Superman. They use Kryptonite in all different kind of ways but there's no Kryptonite bullets (at least not in those stories I've read/watched).
If I remember correctly Sea Stone is only found in one specific place which the Marines most likely have under their control so Krieg would probably have a pretty hard time trying to get Sea Stone anyway

Think that might've been the point.
Moria's screentime during the war.
16 characters of Ivankov.
PX-1 hasn't gotten his cover story yet.
Hm, I thought the part in Marineford where Luffy goes under after Kizaru punts him for the umpteenth time, and they make a big deal over how he's past his limit and has done all he can and to leave the rest to the others only to revive him the very next chapter just in time for some Haki ex Machina was kind of weak.
Luffy's fight with Bellamy.
Why wouldn't Luffy do some pwning Gomu Gomu moves to overpower Bellamy?

Because that would defeat the purpose of the the fight. Luffy can throw a punch with or without his powers, especially against someone like Bellamy who relies entirely on his fruit in battle.
I like how the War was done. Oda did a good job of showing the scale of the battle, and alluding to some big-name pirates, without dragging out an explanation of each one. In my opinion, Bleach does this too much, showing fights between characters I don't care about. I think many of WB's crew will reappear for the Strawhats. The war was merely an introduction.
The Zombie Generals having unique and interesting designs (particularly Captain John and the four-armed gun-slinger), only for them to be stomped on by Oars and never brought up again.

I was just about to say the same thing. Especially the gunslinger was so disappointing since many of us expected him to be Gil Bastar (since Ryuma was revealed in the very same chapter).
They seemed perfect matches for the SH's to fight , especialy Ussop . But that gunslinger guy just dissapeared and was never mentioned again .
I realy would have prefered if instead of Absalom and Perona we had some awesome zombie generals under Hogback's castrate-voiced command .
i was disappointed in ace dieing not cause i like ace but it made all of luffy's actions pointless just to watch him die in his hands. luffy should have gone to find my zoro then go to the war with zoro luffy will always win!
I think the whole point of the arc was that Luffy can't do shit yet .

The point of Ace's death was to show that a) Ace was easily trolled, and b) This is the real power of the marines.
The way Sanji's character was completely f*cked. And no, this is not "because he's gay" kind of things because for one I'm not homophobic and Okama characters are really good or even awesome in One Piece(Iva and Bon Kurei represent this perfectly), but damn…you had the balance between flirting gentleman and pervert who kicked all kinds of ass! And now screams like a girl? Please. Oda is really enjoying screwing around with Sanji (e.g. wanted poster, Duval, getting sent to a land of okamas...but those werefunny and not character-ruining situations).
And what explanation is there for this? He enjoys women so much he wants to be one himself? I believe in Oda's talent, but I'm really scared about what he's going to do with this.
Aside from that...I have no probs with the story ([minor gripe]apart from Sengoku's commentaries during the war, like getting surprised about how Luffy got big - after becoming huge himself).
EDIT: Ok, there's the possibility of hypnotization, but I must have some conclusive answers nonetheless :P
He was mostly speaking to himself .
Sengoku needs some lines , he's barely had any in these past 12 years .

I understand him being surprised, no problem there; the comment he made was on the unnecessary side though. Maybe something like "But that won't be enough!" or whatever
People say unecessary things all the time . In shounne especialy .
Half the time they couldn't even pronounce the name of their attack on time before they actualy do it .

Considering, as you've displayed, Sanji's devotees are generally humorless and overly serious about his already goofy dumb personality quirks, Oda is in effect trolling you. Much to everyone elses delight.

This is not something I'd lose sleep over, obviously ^^; but maybe I care too much for the character. And I apologize if I'm "humorless and overly serious", but I wouldn't consider this one a "dumb personality quirk" myself, but to each their own. :whistling:
whitebeard getting completely PWNed… Ace dies, he dies, powers stolen by BB, lost war..
Every manga has ups and downs, weather its major or minor, what did you not like seeing in one piece?
I didn't like seeing the ship repairmen of water 7 and Franky family still being alive after the battleship blew them up dead center…it all worked out in the end though.
I hate anything that has to do with buggy. Whenever i see buggy, i just know, its gonna be terrible :/ I hate that character SOOOOOO much >,,<.
I hate some of the laughs in the One Piece anime. Dr. Hogback's was particularly annoying.
Also "Kghjgkhjhjhkjkhjgh".
