hey is angolz trustworthy?
I haven't shopped there, but I'd treat is as "buyer beware."

So most of us have been there before: our love for One Piece (or any other anime/manga series) compels us to show our fandom by buying merchandise. Whether it's a figure, plushie, wall scroll, or whatever, you can't find it locally at a brick & mortar store. What do you do? Try searching online. There, you find it. Whether it's at a sale, average, or over priced, you still want it and commit to buy it. Days, weeks, or shudder months pass until your item finally arrives. Yet lo and behold, what arrived wasn't what you wanted, but instead it's a fake or the wrong order.
This thread is to help prevent that from happening to you and someone else. If you've ever ordered something from someone/somewhere and had it be a bootleg, the wrong item to arrive, or never arrived at all without some sort of compensation, this is the thread to rant about it and to red-flag that seller. Make sure no one else gets victimized again. Please list the seller's name, what kind of seller (eBay & international eBay, online website, Amazon marketplace, etc.), and what you failed to get/took forever to arrive.
Oh, and because we have a Marketplace thread, any forum poster who scams a fellow APer will be listed as well. You've been warned.

Hey Ichnob, are you sure this company inx_station sell bootlegs?? I bought alot of figures from him…and i always check if they are real or fake...everyone here knows that hate buying fake figures....and i am a very picky person...inx_station always pack it well..cause i hate my boxes broke or bent. And he give me discount cause of i bought over 20 figures from him already…if you think you got the fake figure or bootlegs figure from him ,ask him to exchange for you or ask him to full money back. Cause one time i order dragon ball HQ DX figure from him and end up the figure was broken through the shipping which is i know is not his fault but i'm a collector...so i talk with him and got me a full return...So if you guy think he sells fake stuff show us what you got or picture. Cause i don't think he is that all.
sensui was the one that stated about inx_station, and I trust his opinion. Maybe that seller is like kaolalo and they have some bootlegs and a lot of actual legit merchandise. Looking at their store, they do have a lot of legit merchandise. I'll have to rescind the listing, which can be done pretty easily.
Interesting Ichnob…..sensui is right about Kakalolo12 this guy is sellling bootlegs figure, one of my friend bought it from him and he was pissed looking at the figure…i would say if the seller are selling bootleg figure...post the picture and show everyone and compare the real one and the fake ones, that way who's right who's wrong and very hard to buy figure now days from ebay shop.

You want pictures of bootlegs I got from inx_station? Here you go:
!
In fairness he did refund the money in full after bringing this to his attention.
Could be a case of having legit merchandise with official ones. I'll keep it up there for now, with a buyer beware/YMMV* warning.
YMMV = "your mileage may vary"
For those not familiar with the term, it simply means that you'll run the risk of getting cheated, but there could be an actual, legit payoff as well.
So for Angolz do you think I should risk it?
Durr durr…I did a search on Collectibles Thread 3. Haha, should've done that in the first place.
People on this forum have had no real problems from them. If you do a quick search for "angolz" in thread #3, they said they got some legit products. It seems like a good bet. If you do order from them, please post your experiences along with pictures of the actual product (boxed and unboxed please), and it could get added to the list.
If anyone else has first-hand experiences with Angolz.com, please feel free to contribute and assuade some fears.
From the collectibles thread:
@BekaDidAct:
I had 2 good experiences with Angolz.
One Ace P.O.P. and those GLM Ace and Luffy.
they all came in just fine and were legit.
I know people have had good luck with angloz but I am not convinced. You do have a chance of getting screwed because it works like rakuten/amazon marketplace….it's a collection of individual shops (some more legit than others). I think that's where the real concern is.
WOW yours look really fake….how's that??? Here mine i got it from inx_station mine is good though…ummmm...i got two figures and last week i just order 2 more figure..
Could you add some "hide" tags to that please? Those pictures are pretty big.
I have updated the 2nd post to include AmiAmi's current website address, to make it easier to find if you don't have it bookmarked. And in fairness, I've added HLJ's website as well. I am biased, and have included the "BEST" tag to AmiAmi, Hobby Search, and HLJ. HLJ is old-reliable when it comes to OP merchandise; the one most forum members have used for years. Hobby Search is also an older site, though not often used. It shouldn't be though, since it offers better discounts than HLJ along with having a rewards points system. Though they do happen to run out of items quicker than other sites (probably due to customer loyalty and discounts). AmiAmi has even better discounts sometimes as well. All three are very reliable, and I have first hand experience with each of them (that's not saying I haven't used the other sites either; I just prefer these three).
Hey your Otacute link is wrong it leadds you to otakute (it's a different site)
Fixed…sort of...
Otacute's website is down for me, so can't tell if it's actually working. If they moved their website/domain, we'll have to wait for a bit.
For Toys n Joy if you file a complaint with the BBB and do a chargeback/file a dispute with your bank they refund you very quickly.
Yea Otacute is down but luckily they sent my item the day before the crash or whatever
Working Otacute Link:
I used BeNippon in the past a couple of times and I am very pleased with their services. Their customer services works really good also.
If they're out of stock; they sell some second-hand stuff too. I bought a second hand book before (TTGL's artbook/storyboard) and it was as good as new. I can't guarantee this for EVERY sale on the site, but the ones I had experience with were clean products.
I bought my Japanese study books from there also :p
They predominantly sell more books (manga, study, doujin, magazine, etc) but they have lots of figures and models as well.
I think it's a site that can take it's place among "Trusted online retailers".

they accept Paypal?
they accept Paypal?
Yes, they do.
I always prefer sites and sellers that accept PayPal.
Do not buy from Shorething Collectables of Richboro, Pennsylvania. They sold us two Strong World Luffy's for way too cheap: PoP boxes were not closed shut, had a Brook stand, otherwise they would look pretty good to the naked eye.
Has anyone used animeha.com and if so, how reliable are they? They currently have some decent prices on some items I have been after. Also, is there any way to get their site in English instead of French?
I'll think about the "good list" for a bit, but most people generally check feedback from eBay sellers to see if they get good ones. Oh, and think I should add toyslogic to the Online Sellers listl They sell legit stuff, but service can take forever a lot of times, and a few forumers here have even not received refunds for their non-existant items.
First of all, I think this is a rather bias posting, Think about it, it could be a competitors that is posting this.
I can understand that if you are posting some selling bootleg (with proof), but flaming Toyslogic as one of the NOT buying list. By the way, Toyslogic never send out wrong one piece order, and not refund any customers, because this is such a strong statement, unless you have proof, this kind of statement is really ruining a legit business.
Speaking of Legit, most of your so called Legit recommend sellers are actually not legit, technically they are not allow to export these US already licensed product to US, and actually Toyslogic is the official ONE PIECE licensed products sellers and distributor in the US, they obtained license officially from TOEI and Funimation. Also a couple of the US stores in your listing are supplied by Toyslogic.
Just want to clarify and want to share the truth. And yes I am related to Toyslogic, I am the owner in fact. ONE PIECE is one of my favorite show, and I consider it to be a quite important show for me personally, so I seriously trying to sell all ONE PIECE related things possible, and if you ever go to a CON, we have the most ONE PIECE merchandise at any booth, because of this fact. So really if you blame us on anything else, I won't say anything, but when it comes to ONE PIECE, I have to reply.
One of the people that claim they didn't get all of their order and complained about a long shipping time I trust. So I will not be buying from your store because of that. I don't need another hassle of running to my bank and filing with the BBB to get my money back. Maybe you should channel your energy into making sure your future customers get taken care of and winning back your old customers.
I’d like to suggest Hong Kong-based seller yagutoro for the trustworthy ebay stores list. I ordered the OP Jewelry Girls figurines from him and upon receiving them today everything looks perfectly legit. Pics:
!
!
! Gold Toei sticker, though I don’t know how much a definite sign of authenticity that is these days.
!
He doesn’t have a lot of OP stuff but I’d definitely recommend buying from him if you see anything. The only minor problem I had was that two of the four boxes for the figurines were somewhat crushed when they arrived. Pic:
!
The mailing box also looked like it’d been through a war zone and was tied shut with a piece of thick twine, but that could be the postal service’s fault. Didn't upset me as I was just glad to get them.

Coming into this thread to defend your website (and actually just making an account for it) takes a lot of courage, and I commend you for your integrity by being upfront about your affiliation. And, recently coming from Fanime, I have actually bought One Piece merchandise from your booth. Firstly, I wasn't trying to state that you sell bootleg products. Your items are indeed officially licensed, and if you were offended by the legitimacy of your business, that was not my intention. The main complaints that have been had were from shipping.
Now, this could be because of a number of reasons that I cannot comment on, like something on the server end or some mistakes in processing. There are rare instances where things fall through the cracks, and no store is perfect. And as you said, some of those online complaints could have been done by competitors as well. I was actually hoping this thread would spark something like this: a chance for an ebay seller or a loyal customer for a certain retailer to defend themselves against problem claims from this board (and the internet in general). Though, I never expected to get an actual retail owner and distributor myself. And as I've stated in previous posts, the list itself is never set in stone. In fact, I welcome the opportunity for a "bad listed" to get a second chance (or in this case, a first chance since I've never ordered anything from your website, personally).
Your site will be removed from the Red-Flag list, but what I want to order isn't available yet, so my personal experience won't come until the pre-order is fulfilled. I've read through the pre-order policies and know what to expect. Yet, there are some items that are officially out in Japan but are still on pre-order for your website, along with other listings that are coming out after the assumed release date. But to clarify to those reading this or have not checked out your website, I do appreciate that you have the expected release date in LARGE BOLD letters along with having a "Status Bar" indicating your expected stock. I wish other websites have those two features as well. As an avid collector and lover of One Piece, I generally look for low prices first, quick/affordable shipping, and customer service. Going with the crowd and their experiences also molds some of my opinions as well.
So if anyone else wants to chime in to defend Toyslogic as I wait for my end of July item to be released, feel free to do as I cannot post personal experience until then. In the meantime, Toyslogic will be removed from the Red-Flag list for now, but is pending for the Trusted list. Unless I find something else to buy between then…my poor wallet.
I bought my Mihawk POP from the Toyslogic booth at Acen. They definitely had an array of OP merch no other booth had. It was indeed legit stuff as Ichnob said, though I can't speak about their shipping issues either, but if people have good success with them in the future I will also give them a shot.
I do appreciate them letting me closely examine the box and figure before purchasing as they hadn't received the official distribution stickers to stick on the POP boxes.
I want to add Angolz to the list. Twice ordered from them and both times stuff that was listed as in stock was sold out. To be fair, they offered to replace figures and were quick to give refunds but the disappointment and trouble has made me not trust this company. They responded quickly to emails but once I got 36 empty emails from them. I won't buy from them again.
Can I post someone who I tried to buy a Vongola Ring from? He never replies and sent me the wrong item. I'm currently waiting for his next reply( about a week and a half ago now, overall, this is spanning over a month and half now).
I know it's not about OP stuff, but he does sell OP stuff.
Sure you can. Go for it.
ebay seller: Myherostore (actually, he quit RIGHT after he sold my INCORRECT item and went somewhere else. But luckily, I still caught him because he's still on ebay-sister sites.)
Anyway, I tried to buy a Vongola Sky Ring, and got one back that read "MONVOLO" and looked nothing like what was in the displayed picture. I sent it back because he said he would give me the right item. But now he only givs short unfulfilling answers every two or more weeks like "I don't see the problem with the item." EVEN THOUGH IT'S OBVIOUS.
I'm trying to get my hands on some SW Nami. First place I saw that had some available was obviously Amazon (Yeah… I don't touch eBay).
Says the primary seller is AKToyCollectibles, has anyone heard or bought from them before?
Then I scroll down to the marketplace and these guys came up:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/offer-listing/B002RJSWG6/ref=dp_olp_new?ie=UTF8&condition=new
Hobby Hunter and also again, Anime King Toy collectibles.
You think these guys would be legit? I mean 60 bucks is not necessarily cheap for it to be "too good to be true".
Since the main issue with that Nami is that most places no longer sell it.

I bought Aokiji back then from Anime King, completely authentic with Japan's platinum/silver sticker (DX figure). Quick response on emails too. Not sure bout the others.
Great, thanks for the info, very much appreciated.
I've got a couple of purchases en route from a couple of different buyers, both OP related - I'll let you guys know the outcome when the stuff arrives.

I bought 5 authentic p.o.ps from anime king. Great seller who ships fast and also responds fast too. I bought from his ebay store though.
Just got my second ebay purchase. The first seller I left neutral feedback - the price and shipping was great, minor damage that may have been unavoidable due to the item's age. That was www.magicalgirl.com - they're okay.
However, the other purchase I'm questioning the authenticity of. I'm going to take a look at them with some friends of mine to come up with a final verdict, but if we end up deciding they're bootleg I'll DEFINITELY post their name here.
is not happy
I've had numerous things from Magical-Girl just not turn up after buying. Cards, figures. I think even a doujinshi. It was pretty annoying. I contacted the seller who simply said that it had been sent out and probably just lost in the mail which they cannot be responsible for.
It wasn't till a paypal dispute when I got the money back off them for the doujinshi. Cards and Figures never got anything back :(
This ebayseller sells bootlegs.
informatik_cn1
In general it's a bad idea to buy anything, especially video games, from China and Hong Kong. They're always very cheap but almost always bootlegs or knockoffs; Also the infamous HKDVDs come from there.
What are HKDVDs again ?
About www.toysnjoys.com/ , did anyone here actualy get their items from them at all ?
Hong Kong DVDs.
They're like DVDs translated by 2 year olds and perverts.
Guess I'll look those up then :D
:p
JWY Anime. The figures I bought from them are almost certainly bootlegs. Not pleased.

Thank you for your comment, I understand that because of the slow shipping that you won't order from us, but I do hope that you will order from the US stores, of which we supplied One piece products to many of them.
Regarding directing my energy, and yes that's exactly what we were doing, since beginning of this year, things (shipping and response) have not been as good as before, and I am aware of it, and so we are improving it. We have done a complete reorg recently, and most bottleneck has been gotten rid of, and hope that we will become the most responsive store once again.

Appreciate you taking us off the RED list. As I mentioned before I am an One piece fan, so I do stop by this forum once in a while.
Regarding the other Japanese sites, I just want to point out that we will try out best to sell our one piece products at the price that is competitive with them, and hope that with our improved customer service and shipping, will get some of your business or at least at the Con, but besides that we will be making unique One Piece Merchandises, and most importantly also good quality and made by someone actually know and love about the show. I hope you guys will like it. I don't want to advertise here, so stay tune on our website. Thanks again for your response.
I know kakalolo12/toy_cardseller is already on the red list, but I thought I should tell you about my experiences with them either way.
My first order was the Super Effect Luffy. They sent it in an air cushion envelope, the box being flattened. This caused the figure to become TERRIBLY bent, it couldn't even stand anymore.
Also, there was no Toei sticker on the box, but it did look legit. Dunno if there are any bootlegs of those figures anyway.
My second order with them was one of those Wanted Poster thingies - the small ones that come with the accessiore of the Straw Hat they're depicting.
This time, they didn't flatten the box and it arrived in perfect condition, it even had a Toei sticker on it. Couldn't have been any better.
I would like to note that both orders did cost nearly exactly the same and both items/boxes were the same size.
So yeah, "YMMV" is justified, I guess. While I didn't end up with getting any bootlegs they did a horrible job with the shipping of one of my two items.
Probably mentioned this in the general thread at one point, but I want to add to Nia's post. I got two figures from kakalolo12, and the boxes were flattened and worn, but the figures were bubblewrapped, in good condition (they were just standing figures though, unlike something like SE Luffy) and legit so I had no problem with that. What did make me not want to buy from them again was paying twice for shipping (you have to pay upfront with his stuff) and receiving them in the same package. When I asked about combining shipping he said he'd take $1 off of each additional purchase. So yeah, beware when you see cheap single figures on Ebay, cause he's not the only one who does that. If they want extra money they should just add a few dollars to the figures, that kind of deceit pisses me off.
Ebay should only be used as a desperate last resort, imo. You really shouldn't have to wade through so much crap to get the figures you want, legit and without ridiculous shipping prices.
Yeah this is why I pretty much use crease for singles etc of figures. At least you know with him that you'll know it's legit and will be packed well.

As someone who worked two shifts in a parcel delivery warehouse , I can state though that this may not be their fault . Guys there don't give a rat's ass if something says "fragile" or if it got a more expensive shipping because the customer didn't want it damaged . They will simply slam it on the conveyor belt and won't give a damn .
Also I never got payed but that's beside the point .
@No:

That's of course true (so very true), but the SE figures (at least the Luffy one that I got) are really unfit to be shipped like this, there are just so many parts that ASK to be damaged/bent. I wouldn't have sent it that way, especially since they CAN apparently ship it in the protection of its box as well as they did with my second order.
But it's questionalbe if the little cardboard box would have protected the figure anyway, I don't know how it was treated on the way to me. ^^;
But yeah, I wasn't that upset about it, stuff like that happens, I guess.
