That spread of the Red-Haired Pirates is awesome. Yassop's new look is cool,though it seems Oda forgot that his name is tattooed on his forehead, not his arms. And what's up with the dude with the Howler Monkey?
So yeah, looks like there may be a short time-skip next chapter, or at least a switch in focus. Two weeks can't come fast enough.

I wouldn't want any heavy time-skip to happen right now, I can see the possibility w/ Luffy searching out his nakama but still IMO it isn't needed, if it happens I don't want a prolonged time skip, maybe a year at most but preferably a month or 2 while Luffy recovers

I really enjoy this chapter. I think it's a fitting end to the war… I like how it's actually fairly calm.
Also; Aohige's translation is (always) much better.

This is basically the same scenario as Jimbei. He refused to fight because he didn't want to fight WB. Mihawk is refusing to fight Shanks.

the SH's looks will prolly change, since they all went on their own little adventures. also, if theres gonna be a time skip, it only seems natural that their clothes will change. i mena, luffy changed his vest in the middle of a war and all.

He said 'Suman' which can translate as 'thank you' or 'sorry'. Basically I've always read that line as something like 'Sorry for the trouble, I appreciate it' (that's a bit long to translate for one line though in scans).

Ok, since the chapter is out I can ask this now :PP
Last week I had thought "wow he arrived pretty fast from New World to Marineford" but since his status and all, it could be because his ship could have some tricks to it as well.
This week a marine comments: "The skirmish with another of the Four Emperors Kaidou, just happened yesterday! And he's already here…!!?"
That's why I wanted to point out it, because it looked like it was not a possible or easily achievable arrival now.
If Shanks' ship (Red Force) ends up having interesting modifications like Sunny-Go, that'll be interesting... :)

Wait. So.
If Whitebeard had just showed up with Shanks by his side, the government would have just gone "Oh. Well. Screw taking that on. We're done."
"Oh well, Luffy managed to escape despite our relentless efforts the last 10 or so chapters. I guess we're done now. Remaining whitebeard pirates, you can leave. Blackbeard, you're free to go too."
This just feels... REALLY incredibly anti-climactic. Especially when the top marine forces, the admirals, Sengoku and Garp, are all pretty much still in great shape. (Well, maybe not Aikanu so much at this point.) Yeah the fodder is falling left and right, but... after all those chapters of trying to wipe everyone out while they escape and all...
Also a bit dissapointed that after holding off on showing Hancock for like 8 chapters, THAT'S what she's been up to. It does take care of her meeting up with Luffy again, but... and the strawhat was returned a bit easily, seems almost pointless to have lost it in the first place. And Law was the only supernova to show up, and... stuff.
There were good things. Buggy/Shanks interaction. Mihawk not wanting to war on Shanks. But... anti-climax is anti-climactic. I guess Oda wanted to be done and move on, and progressing any further would force the issue of killing some more key players.
Well, theres still next week for REAL follow up and resolution on all of this. but... bleh.

Very interesting that Mihawk took his leave and when questioned, he said fighting Shanks was out of the question. Seems like Mihawk is only willing to fight Shanks when it is on his own terms and not when he is being commanded t do so by his Marine Masters.
Is it me, or does Vice Admiral Tsuru look extremely sad in the bottom panel in this link?
Blackbeard's declaration to Shanks that it isn't time for the two to fight yet is very curious and I wonder if it indirectly tells us that Shanks is stronger then Sengoku and Garp? Blackbeard is willing to attempt to kill Garp and Sengoku at the same time, but when Shanks shows up (a man he already gave 3 scars across his face), Blackbeard immediately tells his crew to pack it up and leave.
Also, it appears that Jimbei is probably going to be Luffy's main caregiver after Law provides medical relief. I guess this does strengthen the argument that Jimbei is going to join the crew. Personally, I just think he will be a major character in the Fishman Island Arc but will not join after it is finished.
What also struck me as odd was at how confident the Red Hair Pirates were in their belief that they could defeat the Marines and the Blackbeard Pirates.

I'm pretty sure everyone there was apprehensive in challenging Shanks and his crew. Shanks was even able to get Sengoku to agree to bury the two outlaws instead of putting their bodies on display. He's developed quite a rep.

We didn't see Shanks for a long time..he aged. I don't think the SHs will look all that different in just in a month tops.

With the chapter out I can safely say that Shanks >>> Mihawk, Mihawk w/ the lines over his eyes was troubled Shanks was there, and wanted no part in fighting him, which leads me to believe that Shanks is far stronger than Mihawk now
