Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread

Got a theory…that Akainu is dead, or might be unable to fight again, and Smoker will take his place as the 3rd admiral.
What attack could he have sustained that would keep him from being an admiral???(He's definitely not dead. Oda wouldn't kill a character like that, like it's worthy of off panel fodder). I mean we've seen him barely phased by haki attacks since they're just annoying/pesky to him and all.
Honestly there probably isn't an injury he has that Vegapunk couldn't replace with pacifista parts.

@AdmiralYonkouMt.Bandit:
Yeah I was thinking the same. Some ppl might think Kidd will accept but I wouldn't be surprised if it was Hawkins or Law.
I predict Bonney. Her Devil's Fruit make me think she is the dark horse amongst the Supernovas in terms of power.

Shanks was part of the crew that found One Piece and maybe should know where it is and maybe even what it is so why isn't he the pirate king?
Maybe Shanks knows all these things but maybe he can't reach One Piece because he isn't a D.
Maybe Shanks didn't meet Luffy by chance but actually searched for him and purposely persuaded him into becoming a pirate so at the last second he could back stab him and steal one piece from his grasp.
Or maybe not!
-
Maybe he, like WB, for some reason doesn't give a fuck and is just content with w/e other goal they've accomplished.
The way I see it if Shanks was with them and knows everything there is to know about OP among other things becoming PK just to be recognized as the greatest pirate by others might not even be worth it.
-

Whitebeard said that the person who finds OP will basically wind up going to war with the entire WG. It seems to be about a lot more than just treasure and a title. I'm sure Shanks knows this, and therefore probably also knows that he's not the one it's meant for.
-
I prefer my broken theory even if it does have more plot holes than sense. Then again I do prefer not knowing and would prefer it if everybody was wrong.
-
All right, here's a Yonkou one:
Up until now, Whitebeard, Kaidou, and the other guy have existed in a triangle of conflict and power, with Shanks being kind of the wild card. Now, that he's dead, both the other two want to be Pirate King, and while Kaidou wants to gather his forces to kill the Supernovas before they plant themselves in and 4th wants to kill Whitebeard's remaining forces, both of which alongside their desires of Pirate King, Shanks isn't cool with. So, to think of protecting the future, he now becomes a bigger player, replacing Whitebeard in this triangle.
It sounded better in my head two minutes ago, though.

My prediction for the end of the series:
50 or so years later: Old man is telling a fantastic story to a group of kids of how Monkey D. Luffy became the 2nd King of the pirates and all the adventures he had along the way. He then reveals that everything that Luffy had learned was from, revealing himself to be Usopp, Of course the kids will not believe a word of what he says.

Tomson Roche and George Black will save Bentham/Mr. 2/Bon Kurei. They'll do this because when Iva was escaping those newkamas happened to free them as well. Tom and George know each other quite well, probably will form a partnership when they get out. They stayed behind in ID for w/e reason.
You heard it here first.

I've seen similar theories except with Brook being the story teller.

That's a pretty good idea, I mean, if the Level Sixers are now characters, why not them? Say they got out last because they were particularly vicious even for Level Five standards. Oh and I think Roche's name is backwards.
-
Impel Down has probably been destroyed.
I doubt we'll get to see level 5 prisoners that were left behind.Maybe Roche Tomson will be mentioned later on in the story, though.

Tomson Roche wasn't mentionned by Iva.

It is but that's how it is in Japan. Last name first, first name last. Translators sometimes correct that but they pick and choose.
@Sâuza:Tomson Roche wasn't mentionned by Iva.
Is this in response to me?
The Iva part is just cuz he said to free as many prisoners as they could to help when they were on lvl 5. Iva never did mention them but Bon did see their names on the lvl 5 list.

True, but I say this because I think he was based off real life pirate Roche Brazilliano, so yeah.

This means nothing. Oda mixes them up all the time. First example that comes to mind is Bartholomew Kuma based on Bartholomew Roberts (first name irl). More importantly, he would have used the same format as with Iva's name right underneath.

Actually, I kind of wonder if George Black is based off anybody.

- George Hout (d'Hout)

There's also the other chance he's based off a pirate with "Black" as his moniker/nickname or in it.

I've been thinking about Nami a lot lately…and not in that way.
What if Nami was actually born on Weatheria? Bellemere just found her and Nojiko in a dilapidated town, and baby Nami seemed totally unharmed. Maybe her original parents sent her to the Blue Sea for some reason? This would also explain her telepathic weather-sensing ability.
Also, the "Oi, oi, oi, oi..." guy on Weatheria is dressed like wizard. Nami is often called a "witch" because of her ClimaTact fighting style.
Maybe...she really IS a witch! :ninja:
~~Got it memorized?

Coolest theory I've ever read… Dude, that's possibly true! And if it's that way, that would be amazing!
Also Does anyone have theories about what Kuma said to Rayleigh and Why? That topic is pretty interesting. Also:
! Wizard Old Man for Nakama!

Well, the only guy who I found with Black in their name was this guy,Caesar Black.

I was gonna ask where's her wings but the whole wings that don't let you fly might only be exclusive to Skypeia. I don't think that's where Oda's going but it's possible.
@S.C.:Well, the only guy who I found with Black in their name was this guy,Caesar Black.
Yeah, I know about Black Caesar; former member of Blackbeard's crew. I got hope for Oda using that one but I dunno figured he'd be in BB's crew.
As far as monikers there's "Black" Sam and "Black" Bart among others although Oda has already used those two.

Well, the pirates Zoro and Thompson were based off were friends, but I doubt that they know eachother here.

Yeah I know, it's still a possibility.
Wish it was easier to predict what pirates Oda would base characters off in his book.

I am really interested to see the response of Silvers Rayleigh after this….. I belive he will play major role in coming weeks since-
- all SH vivre cards point towards Rayleigh....
- And ofcourse, Ace being his captains son....
- SA big screens were shown every time there is a mention of LIVE transmission...
- Sunny is with him SA (i dont mean it cant move...Rayleigh has to do something about it)
- and finally "GO to fisherman island" for GOD sake .....which they have been talking about since ennies lobby.

Jinbei is also known as a knight of the sea right? He might probably be a real knight serving the fishman/mermen royalty.

mm don't think so, it probably only refers to his sense of honor, you know…
Knight and honor stuff. -

Yeah, I don't think they want to do anything human like, considering most of the fishmen's mindsets. But, who knows, Oda's known for the unexpected

i don't know if it's stupid or what, but after this latest chapter i have a feeling there may be some final transformation/what ever you want to call it for people with the will of D, like a homage to ssj, something only roger has unlocked that luffy will unlock later in the series (like the end)
most likely this won't happen but after seeing D being emphasized so much it wouldn't shock me if this happened
what are your thoughts
-
The lost kingdom was Atlantis
-
how about THIS simple answer…
One Piece is not in raftel... -
and there are 3 important things that still need to be seen
The Will of D.
The void history and poneglyphs
Golden Leos's 20 year old secret planaltough probably the only one related to One Piece would have to be the will of D.
You are not the one…
The man Roger was waiting for... -
It is completely possible that One Piece on Raftel isn't a tangible item, but rather an idea or state of mind. A theme in the series is what treasure is to different people. Since we know Roger also knew about the Poneglyphs and the true history and is only waiting for the right person to come along to change the world…it's wholly possible that One Piece is connected to the Poneglyphs, which is connected to the Ancient Kingdom, which Whitebeard has recently revealed to be possibly connected to the Will of D.
And I wouldn't call it a flaw so much as a plot point Oda just hasn't revealed yet. I happen to hold Oda's storytelling in very high regard. He's proven again and again that he can seamlessly connect old elements of his storyline with new elements. I'd just sit back and wait for him to explain what's going on. (;
-
I find it strange that Crocus (Roger's Doctor) is at the beginning of the Grandline to greet any and all newcomers and that Rayliegh (Roger's 1st mate) is at the middle of the Grandline doing the perfect job to see who out of all those newcomers made it half way.
Then you have Shanks (Roger's apprentice) a Yonkou somewhere near the end of the Grandline and Buggy (Roger's apprentice) that has been unwilling following Luffy since the start of his journey.
Then Whitebeard has a flash back talking to Roger where Roger tells him everything, followed by Whitebeard telling Teach that you are not the one Roger is waiting for.
Now, we have been told from the beginning that Roger was executed and would have died anyway from illness. We've seen him several times now talking to people saying he would die. Just recently in Whitebeard flashback but in Rayleigh flashback he said don't worry I won't die, maybe he was just referring to his death speech but who knows.
I sometimes get the feeling that Roger's old crew is in the perfect positions to gather information about all the pirate crews without really having to fight any of them. If Roger somehow survived and is in hiding waiting at the end on Raftel or possibly the mystery 4th Yonkou. Then there would be lots of reasons no one can get to Raftel.
There would only be one Yonkou looking for a way to get there, everyone else would be blocking it.
I really do like the idea that Raftel is under reverse mountain tho. It does look like there could be cave walls around it as it sits in the middle of a lake(All blue?).

[This thread contains spoilers, and if you don't want to be spoiled.. stay away!]
As I was surfing the net, I was introduced to some of the theories that people have in mind regarding how the heck BB was able to obtain his new powers.
-
According to Marco, he's body is special.
-
The YamiYami no Mi was already like that, and it basically did what it did, sucking the power in.
… and 3, the most plausible explanation I think there is........................[]
- Before consuming the YamiYami no Mi, Teach ate another fruit before that.
and it name is translated.....................
"FruitFruit Fruit"!!!!
Ability: makes it possible for the person who ate this fruit to gain more than ONE Devilfruits, or Devilfruit powers.
lolllllllllllllll, but seriously.
I think number 3 is the most plausible explanation right at this moment.
What do you think all?
-
-
I think this belongs in the Manga thread
And I also think Number 3 sounds a little… well, stupid, really.
-
@ZeArmyOfHalen:
I think this belongs in the Manga thread
And I also think Number 3 sounds a little… well, stupid, really.
But it's the only possible explanation there is….............
The IRON RULE is that you CAN'T have 2 devil fruit powers,
for you CANNOT eat 2 fruits and NOT explode. []
-
Besides the manga thread, this specifically belongs in Chapter 577 Discussion thread. Hasn't even been out for 2 days.
-
It's Moria, obviously.
-
BB is really Kirby in disguise.
We all know its true.

Yeah i think Oda will explain it later also. i mean has there really ever been noticeable flaws in OP? well im not really sure but i have noticed any i think that it will all be explained in time so we should just wait…

yeah and even tho that explanation makes a whole lot of sense (to me at least) ive never really thought of that… 0__0 well, then again how would he survive the public execution thing? well, we dont know what his powers were so i guess its possible... that would be cool but we have like...alot of adventures ahead of us so lets just kick back and watch the story reveal its self :D
-
lol, a huge flaw huh….
