i usually sleep early, but that's not the case yesterday when i picked up volumn one of berserk, boy oh boy did not stop reading it till 26 volumn later which is 5 am in the morning AHAHAHAHA good manga but what is the wait like after i catch up? weekly? monthly? a few months? random chapter per year? noooooooooooooooooo -.- random ranting :P

I think Miura draws in a monthly manga but it could be 2 months or so until a new chapter. His drawings are incredibly detailed and very high quality so it makes sense.

It takes Muira 3 or 4 weeks to draw a chapter, and he is printed in a bi-weekly magazine. As a result, there are frequent hiatuses of about 3 months, followed by 4 chapters coming out, and then another hiatus.
A long wait if you're used to weeklys. A mild annoyance if you're used to monthies. And nothing at all if you're used to novels.

well i just kind of put this as a novel, i read the chapter then i completely forget about it, or try my best. It sucks waiting for shit, so the sooner i put berserk or my latest novel read out of my mind the less anxious i am for the next release.
which because this topic was bumped is kind of annoying, since i cam in like "ooh a new chapter or something" but nope

Maybe he did know what it was just didn't mention it in the 20-word blurb about it.
Regardless... hopefully Berserk starts again. I mean the last restart was just like 3 chapters... I assume it was so it would start at Berserk's 20th anniversary, which is why it was so short.

lol! No. And this bump sucks cause it got my hopes up for a new chapter. I agree about the guy knowing where the image is from though. Im sure he has atleast heard about it. When you get something like that done you have to bring in the picture for the artist to copy, so if he got the picture from someone Im sure they either filled him in or he did his own research.

Seriously though. Berserk is a monthly comic that gets printed in a bi-weekly magazine. Muira takes 3-5 weeks to do a chapter, so the magazine puts it on hiatus until they can print 4 chapters at a time. Its been a pattern of 4 chapters followed by a 3 month hiatus for a long, long, long time.
NOT a result of Muira taking extended breaks. Just a result of taking more than 2 weeks per chapter, which is understandable, looking at the art.

K, well it is about a volume a year then. I thought he came out with more in a row, though.
And the last chapter didn't have a date for the next chapter which makes it seem longer somehow.But if you go by that pattern, the last chapter came out October 25th… Young Animal comes out around the 25th and the 11th of each month, whatever is a Friday, I guess... Should make the next one January 22nd? So like next issue of Young Animal... Approximately...
Course, looking back at the "continues on" notes at the ends of some of the old chapters, one went from December 12th to April 23rd, which was more like 4 months, and that was one that just said "next time" so it could take around that long, too. As an approximation. So... within the next 3~4 issues of Young Animal sounds pretty safe.

I seen translation groups that reverse karaoke a whole episode. Meaning the mian text is wirtten in Japanese accent, and the top tells what the sentence means. Could be them trolling, but I assure you.. There are groups that do things like that in the picture.

Finally….,i'm done,after 20hrs reading this thread page by page,the first thread i ever read like this,all because somehow i'm happy because i get to read on how ppl response on this great manga.this is my first post ever in ap.ironically when i only first came here just to read thread about op,i just joined ap recently but i've follow this site quite some time ago.
so,about berserk,i first read it in about 2003,so i'm all used on the waiting but only now i know the reason on why do i have to wait though,and it really clears things out for me.i personally think that berserk if not on par is just an inch behind op in term of the story(this is maybe out of the effect of the long break between the chapters and for me it has goes on for almost 7 years now) but it excels any other manga in term of its art and i can say this after reading dozens of manga,but damn i really can't find from ppl that i have met who read this great manga.
also,i believe i read somewhere in this thread where ppl argued bout sk vs. zodd,in vol. 13 chap. 88,when the eclipse happening,sk and zodd was fighting and watched by young rickert,and he said(take it as his opinion) that the human(sk) that fighting zodd was even better than zodd.
i'm sorry if this have been mentioned before.although i said that i read this thread page by page and i did but most likely i may have been missed it.i got much more things in mind when i was reading all those post but i don't think i can express it well like certain ppl in here....lol

yes,yes,it was i think,but it kinda then escalated with using zodd as comparoison between those two seeing as both have their own 1 on 1 duel with zodd,though for gutts case he did his when he still haven't acquired the berseker armor.without the berseker armor,gutts could only overwhelmed zodd(i said this base on vol.22 where zodd sword(kusharn horse sword) was cracked in the duel) and this happen while zodd is in 'human' state,after he turn into beast,gutts can no longer hold his ground,but there is also caska running into the middle of the fight factor.and while after gutts get the berseker armor,the only time he encounter zodd was when they both working together to defeat the mist emperor,no duel after(which is good,that guy really needed the break),so as far as gutts without the berseker armor concern,i don't think he even on par with sk,but with the armor,there's a possibility,i mean,he's the protagonist right,if not right now,sooner or later he's gotta be if not stronger at least on par with the sk…

Indeed, Guts whooping ass half asleep "yawn Kraken? Okayslices and it's deadyawn" lol. The canon recoiled slice was cool too, really nice to see him use the attack considering how long people have been waiting for Guts to be back in the story, Kentaro has not disappointed. The spreads were great and they one you highlighted is now my desktop. Wondering how fast the pirates will be taken out considering the bombardment on the last page, i hope it's quick so they can get going. Can't wait for the next chapter
