Thanks and yea, Saskue wouldn't stand a chance, Bruce would reach right out of the pages and knock Kishi straight destroying his boy love fetish. Kishi would then actually care about his manga again and make a glorious return with Rock Lee in the main seat. Side characters get developed while Naruto and Sasuke are killed by Rock in the first chapter. Sakura and Kirin don't exist but this isn't a problem since nobody remembers why they were around in the first place. Believe it.

Thats how awesome Bruce Lee was. He gave Chuck Norris an utter ass kicking, which transformed Chuck into what he is today by imparting a fraction of Bruce's awesome.
He also threw rookie stuntman Jackie Chan through a couple solid objects… and he's now the most famous actor in all of China.

what I'm catching up on currently: Gintama, lone wolf & cub, Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind, and lost in poem (by our very own AP member GEPPETTOSMONSTER)
so I've been told that if I'm gonna get a final fantasy game I should just get # 7 what are your opinions on this
7,8 or 9. 7 and 9 are personal favorites. Stay far away from 10, it's the most awful of the entire series. 10 part 2 doesn't even count as a FF but if you did count it, stay away from that too.
I've only played 7 and 10. I didn't like 7 at all and 10 was okay but that doesn't necessarily mean it's a good game. I'd like to try 8 and 9 but stores don't rent PS games and they cost $20 each at the only store near me that sells them.
Final Fantasy 4, 6 and 9 are the best ones for story, 7 is the most famous and its not bad at all, though you probably know the whole story through pop culture osmosis at this point. 4 and 6 are available in various iterations on many handhelds, 7 and 8 are available for download to the psp for like 10 bucks.
All the final fantasys are worth giving a shot, they're a classic megafranchise for a reason, though the actual game cvaries wildly. Though if you're jsut starting, you probably want to avoid 1, 2 or 3, their sheer age makes them rather oldschool. And also avoid anything above 10, they started doing things VERY differently after that, and that gives a different first time experiance.
But any of them between 4-9 on whatever system should be a good starter.

If your a newcomer to the series I'd suggest 6 or 9. 4's good but it's a little oldschool for people who are new to RPGs. 7's also fairly good, it's story's a little weak and the graphics are hideously outdated but the gameplay's solid enough.
Avoid 8 if you don't like tedium.
9's good, too, if a bit different from the others. 10 was awesome, but X-2 is kinda crap… I never even finished X-2. 11 is online and it stole 5 years of my life, but it's not something to play if you're a casual gamer. 12 is... Okay. The main story is way too short and the monster hunter events are tedious...
And 3 is oldschool as hell but a shitload of fun.
I called it wrong, so long ago. I guess this needs to be changed.

they replied just fine. as for my answer I'm going with dragonball 'cause just about everyone's heard of it.
It's quite clearly Dragon Ball.
FFI to FFV are probably a little bit oldschool for you. Although the job systems of III and V are funny.
FFVI has awesome story, awesome soundtrack but the graphics are 16 bit.
FFVII has awesome story, awesome soundtrack but the characters still look like wood figures.
FFVIII is the Naruto of FF. Although the soundtrack is still great.
FFIX has better story than VIII and a nice Neuschwanstein scenario. Although you clearly get the feeling that they run ot of ideas in some disciplines. The ending is cheesy. Some nice tunes.
FFX is from the same development team as VIII and the characters are just as annoying. The game is pretty linear until 10 Minutes before finish. There are exactly 4 good songs inthe soundtrack (Suteki Da Ne, To Zanarkand, That song on the mountain and Otherworld).
FFXI is online.
From XII on it just gets boring.

So. Thats the "justified" answer you're probably looking for. Total sold, first run print numbers, ammount sold annually, quantity sold per time its been out, per how many volumes it actually has right now, etc. You can point to solid numbers and arrive at OP as the answer pretty handily. (It surpassed Dragonball last year, and Dragonball had nearly 20 years head start on it.) And the numbers in Japan are the only ones that really count where manga sales are concerned, since they go into the millions, whereas stateside even high printruns generally only go into the ten thousands.
But then, Avatar is the highest grossing movie of all time, and that doesn't mean shit. Gone with the Wind is the highest selling ticket number movie of all time, and that doesn't mean much either. Its all subjective. You like what you like and if you need numbers to prove why something is good, thats a completely halfhearted reasoning. All that does is support the creators and ensure you get more, which are good things, but it has no bearing on actual quality or "bragging rights."
Twilight set box office records last year. Dwell on that for a while.
