Well that doesnt matter because you of all people should know better.
For shame missy Chrissy.
:cwy: Imma gonna go and turn AceEmo now because you are being cruel to me!

Does it have to be one or the other? I'm merely suggesting that even you apparently concede that had Ace not died, Luffy would have some serious hard learned lessons behind him, and he would have to do something about it. Ergo Ace's death can be factored out of the whole "he needs to learn his lesson" argument, which, I believe, was your foundation, no?
Actually no, my argument basically was that having TWO emotionally crippled characters in the story would kinda be lame. That quickly changed to character perception, then to traumatization factors…

No i'm not, i'm just being the stern fatherly figure you need in your life as an AP poster:ninja:

Look out there's a gigant white mouth behind you:shocked:
:silly: Looks like a lot has happened….woooo XD
You see, here's your problem.
Drills may initially give you great power, however this soon plateaus off.
Where as the Backhand has almost unlimited possibilities, as the great sage Maddox himself has written.
But a drillman has more fun.
You might slap a ho, but drilling them is more satisfying.

I've now got an image in my head of you walking around town with a shifty disposition, a twitchy eye and a giant drill. You leer at every women you see and point suggestively at your drill.

What you get up to in your den of iniquity is, of course, your business.
And indeed, in your very specific area of interest, a drill may hold a certain allure.
But I'm afraid your argument has not won the day.

O: Oh, silly! That's my pet! Mina! She likes to eat whatever I cut off my victims.
@Zik:
Lawls. That's rich coming from you with irony to boot.
Speaking of not getting jokes, the best part about that post was that I didn't have to write it. I just moved your text around…
@Zik:
So you cross out several to put a few because of connotation and alleged bias after saying it's not about literal amount.
Enel have mercy on me. Several implies more than a few does, and given the point I was trying to make was that people exaggurate the amount of times he has said it, I made that slight adjustment. The more you know. o/
@Zik:
I don't need to do that when I talk about Jinbei in this thread cuz I already know you're going to read it and respond but hey you must love me.
Yes, heaven forbit I defend a theory I started in a thread for exactly that.
@Zik:
Any time you want to repeat yourself brennen, any time.
Oh snap!
Actually no, my argument basically was that having TWO emotionally crippled characters in the story would kinda be lame. That quickly changed to character perception, then to traumatization factors…
Well I was specifically referring to that argument, but hopefully by now you see my point? As to your other arguments, clearly Jinbei isn't emotionally crippled, as we saw him trying to snap Luffy out of it after grabbing him and escaping the battle this chapter. Is he factored in with people who were affected by the death of Ace? Of course, but not even close to how much Luffy was. Like Urouge said, I would liken his situation to a real life one, where someone would console a friend for the death in a family, despite being friends with the family member who passed. And yes, I saw your counterpoint to that, I simply disagree. One Piece isn't completely like real life, but it is not that far removed either.
I don't know how this all got pinned on me, lol… Ah... Whatever.
Drilled would be a more appropriate verb to use in this situation, I think. Scratch that, "backhanded".
He is gonna come back~ And along with Zombie Ace they will be the ones to take all over the OP world. :ninja:
ok sure.. backs away slowly

I dun get it :wassat:
C'mon! That was horrible.
Say Magellan poisons him then orders for him to be locked up. Would it be strange if the guards taking him to a cell, run into the BB pirates on the way? You never know what could happen… The BB pirates are pretty bizarre. Doc Q could decide to cure him because it's 'his fate'.:ninja:
He didn't strike me as a good person, trying to poison people with apples and stuff.. maybe we'll find out in a coverstory what happened.
I am too lazy to go and find a picture of something flipping you off. :C I like Bon-chan. He is just not in my top faves. He on the other hand hates him! points at wintergt :ninja:
I do! stands firm
ok sure.. backs away slowly
Glad you agree with me. :ninja:

I just slapped you. :P

Flashback. Bon-chan deserves that much.

pushes him down the stairs :whistling:
I don't need a fatherly figure.
Well i guess you're right, it would be kind of weird for someone who you're incredibly attracted to to be your father figure.
Good thinking there Chrissie:ninja:

Yes I did get your point.
Emotionally crippled was perhaps a wrong word to choose. Emotionally affected or emotionally wronged…
Anyway, like I said to Urouge, our disagreement stems from our perception of characters, and discussing that here would be going too off topic…

Meh, it's relevant to what we are discussing, so I see no harm. Problem is we have sort of reached a stand still as far as it is concerned. Feel free to start it up again if you have more to say, I don't mind (as long as you don't get too close).
Glad to see that you can still use comedy to cope with your loss:ninja:
It's so much healthier than stabbing people.
I'll slip something in brennen's drink for you…
That's no fun, Brennen's the forum bicycle.
Everyone has had that ride:ninja:

You did read my post where I said the other reason was Vanessa right?:ninja:
And sure I would love to discuss Jimbei's character with you but that would require a lot of typing and quoting for my intro and I just don't feel like it right now… maybe tomorrow
I didn't know Brennie was like Sakura! O: The more you know…
Glad you agree with me. :ninja:
Yeah I do I do, just.. put down the knife..
I just slapped you. :P
Hm. Ok. Where did you slap me?
Flashback. Bon-chan deserves that much.
You are absolutely right a death scene isn't very suited for a coverstory.
pushes him down the stairs :whistling:
You can break my leg, but you can't take my freedom! Braveheart spoof
I'll slip something in brennen's drink for you…
You know how the saying goes. What happens on APforums, stays on APforums.

To be fair it's only one of his many personalities that is a slut.
Brennen likes a good drill.

Semantics, indeed.

Pretty much.
Yeah I do I do, just.. put down the knife..
B-but…I like my knife!
Hm. Ok. Where did you slap me?
Is it me, or is it getting kinky in here~?
You are absolutely right a death scene isn't very suited for a coverstory.
:( How mean.
You can break my leg, but you can't take my freedom! Braveheart spoof
But what if I cut something~?
Just to bring more danger in the thread. :ninja:
To be fair it's only one of his many personalities that is a slut.
How many does he have exactly?
I didn't know Brennie was like Sakura! O: The more you know…
Naw, it's different. Sakura only aspires to be the village bicycle. Unfortunately for her, nobody wants to ride the bike with tiny wheels.
You know how the saying goes. What happens on APforums, stays on APforums.
Which is a good thing, or a lot of people would get arrested.
How many does he have exactly?
Probably dozens, but i only know about his standard devoted husband and father personality and his gay steel worker who works hard and plays hard one. Guess we'll have to wait for the data books to be released for the rest.

Oooh~! I see! So Brennie's got big wheels. :ninja:

I've only met the sadistic one that threatens me. ='( I bring out the worse in Brennie. :cwy:
I didn't know Brennie was like Sakura! O: The more you know…
Brennen likes a good drill.
That was below the belt!!
I do belive this is the first time in forum history that Brennen's genetalia has been brought up in a conversation.
Atleast i hope so:ninja:
You wear a belt? :ninja: Doesn't that slow you down when undres- gets shot
I do belive this is the first time in forum history that Brennen's genetalia has been brought up in a conversation.
First moron to suggest them for next crewmate gets a magma fist through their back. And that's not an innuendo.

Afraid I'm going to have to disagree with you there.
First moron to suggest them for next crewmate gets a magma fist through their chest. And that's not an innuendo.
Guess we arent gonna discuss how they would interact with the crew then.

Here. I have a fist ready for you. :ninja:

Sooner or later we'll get a flashback of a sad past.

16 characters of Yay! :D
I wonder if we'll see genderbends of them…:ninja:
I am starting to lose the count of the men I am trying to steal here. D:

love the crazy eyes!
Is it me, or is it getting kinky in here~?
fakes ignorance
:( How mean.
You are thinking of it the wrong way. His death will honor his sacrifice. I mean how gay was it when Pell just came back. It's best for everyone really.
Take as another example Jimbei. He has been going on and on about dying in this war, so now he either mans up and dies, or lives out the rest of his life in dishonor not being true to his word!
But what if I cut something~? [qimg]http://i50.tinypic.com/29pdwlv.jpg[/qimg]
Just to bring more danger in the thread. :ninja:
What are you going to cut?
Wonder if they'll fit through the ship's doors…
Sooner or later we'll get a flashback of a sad past.

In the Next Crewmate speculation thread?? Oh how can we…
I am starting to lose the count of the men I am trying to steal here. D:
That doesn't sound right… at all. :\
This thread is going "nuts" again.
