lol, how about english written in every japanese volume in the characters section by the author.
I've never seen those so if it really says Shierke then I'll use that.

And I'm giving orders because apparently a bunch of dongs around here can't get things right.

And I hereby declare that Schierke's nickname shall be called henceforth as 'Silke', there for I shall call her by Silke this on…
And Gatts shall be Guts.
Since we're on that topic, what's the protagonists official name romanization?

Dude you're confusing people who are already confused. So you want them to write Gatsu or Guts from on.

Anyone confused by that post is braindead to begin with.

Thanks for the link. Didn't see those pages before.
i'm guessing 308 isn't out yet?
308 is out and I just came
I just read the chapter and I think I came too

Read the new chapter but i'm not suffering from PE. The artwork was great, love the details of both ships. I liked that even at sea Guts is hunted, its been so long since we've seen him i kinda forgot about that. Seeing those sea serpents made me think of sea kings, got me thinking about since the veil is gone the sea must be crawling with all sorts of crazy shit. I see Davy Jones has taken command of the pirate ship so they can go under water…now we just need a kraken and Johny Depp (as Guts of course)...No, that would suck so much assde-jinxs. Seening Gut's arm at the end has me hyped up for his awesome return, let's hope Kentaro doesn't decide to take another break before it happens...
Lol, I missed Shiercke and the goof troop's antics:P
Wow so now I know who people were referring to by saying Silk, I had thought I missed something. So yeah the little witch is Schierke not Silk.
Meh, waiting for scans :getlost: .

Neat chapter, schrieke looked cute as a clown pirate and the idea of ghost ships is really interesting but how in the hell is that fantasy? wouldn't that be classified as; paranormal?
Awesome chapter with great ending. Let's hope we get to see it soon. I wonder if the world it self is now bigger, I mean 2 worlds have joined and become one, so is it still the same, what laws do they follow etc. Is the weird background stuff we see work as light, spirit or wind.
Should be easier for schierke to summon spirits now that the walls that kept the worlds away have collapsed.
yo Kairouseki.
Thanks . I'll report back after I read it.

Paranormal stuff is not fantasy?

It could be but ghost ships just don't seem right.

I really don't see a difference in "ghosts don't exist in reality" and "dragons don't exist in reality".
I really don't see a difference in "ghosts don't exist in reality" and "dragons don't exist in reality".
I work in a nursing home at night so either my eye's are playing tricks on me but I sware I see fast movements out of the corner of my eye at times and believe me there's no one young enough to move that quickly plus it's hard to even break into the building since alarms would go off but that's a story for another time.
Dragons on the other hand could of been real by the accidental sightings of dinosaur bones. Someone found them added some creativity and thought up of giant lizards with wings that breathe flames and other types of elements or it was just some kid who saw a lizard and thought this.
You know, Gepetto, it IS possible, that dragons have existed.
The breath-flames are possible, with 2 different chemicals, that are spewed out of their mouths. Then they react together and BAM - flames.
And the rest… why not?

Yeah, but ghosts, you know the spooky kind from ghost stories definitely have same fantastic vibe about them as Dragons, while stuff you witness in the real world without any plausible explenation doesn't. Get where I'm aiming at?
Gorgeous art as always. Too bad Shierke's face paint didn't last all that long  . So I'm kind of confused. Was the pirates' ship attacked by the ghosts and is now virtually invincible? It's nice to be back with Guts and gang, can't wait until the next chapter. And I loved Guts putting on his bow arm at the end .
There have been assloads of ghosts in Berserk, even zombies, the hell is weird about a ghost ship.

Miura is going to take a break after this chapter.
Great
EDIT: SOURCE from Mangahelpers
Really? Another Break? It's a joke right? If it's true, maybe i should stop reading Berserk and start again in 30 years when it will have maybe 10 new chapters…:getlost:

Not another break! WHY!?… Damn it all...
But atleast chapter looks sweet.
sigh I get so tired of people getting upset every single time this series takes a PUBLISHING HIATUS, when its really like clockwork.
It's not a damn vacation/idolmaster break. It takes Muira 3 or 4 weeks to produce a chapter, (and probably 5 in some extreme cases where he has like, a thousand unique soldiers fighting a thousand unique monsters, all with crosshatching) and the magazine publishes every 2 weeks. So the magazine waits until there are 3 chapters ready to go, and starts running them while Muira works on the fourth, and then they are all published in a clump, 4 chapters in two months.
He does not take four months to draw one chapter and then crack out another 3 chapters in a week apiece. Its been this cycle with Berserk since it started in 1990, its just how it is, he produces a volume worth of material on average every 6-8 months, and its been the case for 20 years. (He's on what, volume 34?)
If it were a MONTHLY magazine, there probably wouldn't ever be hiatuses except maybe once a year. Its only because the magazine itself is bi-weekly that the magazine schedules it the way it does.
Also, 10 years is a better approximation of when the series will be done. Muira has stated in interviews he weels that he's about 60-70% done, and he's been at it for 20 years.
Similarly, Oda isn't taking a vacation from One Piece once a month, and Togashi isn't taking a 9 month vacation from Hunter X Hunter. Oda is involved with movie stuff, (and fatherhood) and Togashi is doing 10 chapters during his "hiatuses". If Hunter were a monthly instead of a weekly, it probably wouldn't miss a beat either, but the anthology format Japan lives by just doesn't allow for a once a month pacing in a more-than-monthly book.
Yay for more Berserk! I can't wait to see Guts and Griffith's final battle . But that'll take a while  . I wonder if Miura goes over to Togashi's house and they play Idolmaster together ?
@robbybevard:
sigh .
My thoughts exactly. Joking aside, I reserve the right to be disappointed that another break is happening so soon. Being the internet and all, I'm exaggerating my grief. I understand what he's doing, and i would never say that i don't appreciate his efforts to bring us this epic story so beautifully told but i will say that it sucks that he breaks so often. You will never stop hearing people say that a break sucks no matter what manga it is. It just helps to gripe about it. Will i really stop reading it? No. Will he break again and leave me pissed? Yes. But it's not a big deal, i'm just sharing my thoughts on a forum, nothing serious.
Cool, I honestly don't mind if series go on hiatuse's since I see it as the authors are probably going back through old material and making sure there not leaving any plot holes.

Its not an author's hiatus. Its a publishers.
See above.
Since we are anticipating the new chapter to be released I'll share some cool MMV's I found. The second one I think has been posted before but nevermind its a mad video and I think everyone should watch it.

I never said it was the authors hiatus
Another break? I am truly in shock by these turn of events.
I never said it was the authors hiatus
You implied it by indicating the break time was used for the author to do research, which indicates the break is the authors choice entirely.

the publisher put the series on hiatus for muira to work on upcoming chapters right?
than whenever muira has some down time which I'm sure he does, don't you think that he may just for…hell..the fuck of it, look through his old volumes and maybe by chance spot something there that hasn't been touched on in awhile?
OFF TOPIC:
If i'm not making sense it's because i've been up all night working and I should really hit the bed.
Just finished watching the anime, now i'm going to read the manga.
I've started reading Berserk a long time ago, then Onemanga stoped the online viewing and i switched to other mangas.
The only reason i'm posting here is to ask, if someone could explain the Berserk release?
I mean it started 1989 and there are only 33 volumes, is it a weekly, monthly or god knows what release?

I would assume he would do that with or without a hiatus tho.

Basically its a monthly story in a bi-weekly publication, which leads to many misconceptions about the author always taking vacations. He produces 10-15 chapters a year, but the release schedule comes out to be that theres a publishing hiatus for about 4 months, then 4 chapters come out over the course of two months, then a hiatus again.
I posted about this in detail earlier in the page if you scroll up some.

Well his art is above anything I have ever seen in manga format, each panel is masterpiece itself. But drawing such a high detail work requires some time and I dont mind if Miura takes his time to produce such masterpieces.
Its just that Guts struggle is such an epic story that its simply hard to wait it to unveil further.
Miura can produce one chapter/year if he wants but I hope he just maintains his love for this magnificent manga and continues to release these epic chapters with his high quality art.
Fans never like to see series going to break no matter the reason behind such brakes be it by author, publisher or other reason. We are back with Guts crew and seeing them is a very high point for me in this manga.
I just ordered volumes 24-26 but had to resort in Amazon.com because its easier to find One Piece in OP world than find Berserk retailer in Finland.
Thx, i didn't read your post, cause i don't want to get spoiled.
