@Battle:
ANGEL FRUIT
_Luffy slowly caresses Conis' wings, while gentley kissing her neck. Conis wants to resist, but she can't, as she drifts slowly into a trancelike state of desire. Luffy removes his strawhat and playfully puts it over Conis' face, "Luffy, what are you doing" Conis says, grasping for breath as her heart beats furiously.
"Shhhh!" Luffy whispers into Conis' ear, as he proceeds to run his sleek chiseled body down hers, rubbing against her chest as he slowly traverses downards, Conis is suddently startled as he approaches her between the thighs, "Luffy! yo… you... can't" Conis says, biting her bottom lip "Conis...! Let me taste your_ angel fruit"
To be continued.

Twisting Luffy's personality around, eh, AL?
Well, we can do that for Zoro, too!!! I present . . . American-children's-TV-appropriate ads!!!!
-
This is a tough one. I think that Luffy and Zoro should both win the tournament.
You wouldn't want to break up this cute couple, would you?
(Oh, sorry for the huge post.)
-
Yeah, I wonder what would happen if this ended in a tie. Would we have 2 winners? Not that I'm advocating for it or anything :ninja: .

Sanji will be so jealous XDDDD
-
Isn't it sad that even with two days the number of comments aren't even 1/3 of the Buggy vs Sanji match. It seems to me all the people who truly campaigned vigorously and commented continuously to help their character to the point of spamming the thread were all lost with the last 2 villains. Alas, there hasn't been one interesting arguement or debate in the bast 23 pages of this thread. What a crappy final.
-
Not only think green, think of their friendship!
-
Wow, last time I checked Zoro was down by ~100. Surprised he came back that far.
-
Well, if Zoro can't come out winner, then i'd be more then happy for a tie!
<3 ZoLu
However, there plenty of time for the closet Zoro fans to come and cast their votes for their favorite swordsman!
Don't let us down!!!
-
It would seem that the fangirls have finally arrived, e1n.
But you didn't tell us that they'd be voting for both characters!;)
-
Zoro has been getting pages of campaigning while Luffy hasn't gotten much. Vote for the guy with the true fans!
-
Well, with only a little bit of time left, I'd say this was a great character tournament. If Luffy wins, it's not a problem. It just shows that he's got more appeal at this particular time. Consider all that he's done so far (and is doing right now especially) in the story; pretty daring if you ask me.
Though I wonder how things would turn out if we did just a straight poll for characters… isn't that how they do the Shounen Jump polls?
Well, with all that said, I'm getting off for tonight. Goodnight everyone!
-
Zoro has been getting pages of campaigning while Luffy hasn't gotten much. Vote for the guy with the true fans!
It's only because, we already know, Luffy would win even if we didn't campaign. If only buggy had beaten Zoro then we would see something interesting this round =(
If he loses this post never happened >.> -
You know what? As glad as I am with Luffy reigning victorious, I can't feel but a little let down with this final. I was ready to furiously argue with Zoro fans as to why Luffy is superior. (Like in Usopp vs Whitebeard) But for that, we'd need a maximun of a 10 vote difference. Sure, Zoro has climbed from a 110 vote trail-behind to a 40 vote one. He gained 50 votes in the second day. I suppose I should at least give him credit for that. But even with a 50 vote jump, there's still too big of a difference in the final 2 hours for there to be much debate.
Congratulations Luffy. You are now the King and the Champ!
But Zoro did good making it to the finals to be your rival. A salute for the swordsman!
-
Ah, I give up bows
I'm proud with my boy… ^_^
Congratulations Luffy ^^v
and with this... I guess the Whiskey Peak Arc fight was finally settled? LOOOL

Alas, there hasn't been one interesting arguement or debate in the bast 23 pages of this thread.
Here, give this one a try. I can't say you'll find it interesting or persuasive, but it will help pass the time before the thread closes…
Regarding Zoro's "depth" –
-
He thinks of the larger battle as well as the small fights within it. EL is probably the best example of this, where the minute that he regains consciousness after being rescued by Kokoro, he climbs up the steps to get a better view of the Buster Call and of Luffy's fight, and to look for Franky's crew. And when Soge suggests that they try to go back to help Luffy fight, Zoro gives him some plausible "big picture" reasons why that wouldn't be a wise idea. Thinking of the larger picture is also why he's not able to relax (even though everyone else is) until several days after they return to Water 7.
-
He knows that life can be complicated, that not all enemies are evil and that alignments can shift over time – for good examples of this, see his talk with Tashigi about bounty hunters in Loguetown, as well as what he says to T-Bone after their fight on the way to EL.
-
He's a "reliable presence" – that's a phrase taken directly from one of the guide books (I think it was "Yellow"). In other words, Luffy assumes that as long as Zoro is with the rest of the crew, they'll be fine -- that he (Luffy) doesn't have to worry about them. This line from Skypia reinforces that idea. It's when Luffy stumbles over the unconscious bodies of Robin, Choppy, Wiper, "Old Guy" and Zoro (Translation credit: Stephen)
Luffy: ZORO!!!!
WHAT ARE YOU DOING, MAN?!!!
If you were here...
Then how could this have happened...?!!- He understands when to take commands and when to fight them. When Luffy tells him to save Nami (at Arlong Park) and Smoker (at Alabasta), Zoro grumbles and protests initially, but he ultimately follows orders and saves them. He follows orders to save Hachi, too. The most famous/notorious example of Zoro contesting an order is of course when he threatens to leave the crew unless Luffy gets an apology from Usopp. On the surface, Zoro's demand may seem like a cruel joke, but on a deeper level, it's a way literally/symbolically remind the crew (Usopp in particular) that Luffy is the captain, and that disobeying the captain carries consequences, and that if you disobey, you have to also be willing to accept those consequences.
What else? Oh, yes, one more:
- He cares about his crewmates – he just doesn't show it as obviously as the others do. But it's evident in his actions: catching Robin when she falls after being electrocuted by Ener ; saving Nami from Mr.1 ; holding a bruised and bloody Choppy in his arm after discovering him in Skypiea ; fighting against Ryuma for Brook ; being the first to call a temporary cease-fire in their ongoing "alpha fight" so that he and Sanji can cooperate and defeat Hamburg, Big bun, etc in the Groggy Ring ; telling Sanji (in EL) that he thinks Usopp is strong enough to survive on his own, and then a few chapters later, smiling up at Soge as Soge plays a crucial role in saving Robin:
http://www.onemanga.com/One_Piece/420/04/
And probably the best example – just as he's about to fall over in a faint after defeating Mr.1, his final thought isn't "hot damn, I just defeated an assassin and cut metal!", it's: (Credit for translation: Stephen)
Zoro: {I wonder how... they're doing...
Did Nami manage to get away...?!
I hope nobody died... I wanna know what's going on...}So yeah, there we go.
And see, I didn't even have to resort to mentioning booze, bleeding, Kuina or Kuma.
–------------
@Corson:
This one was a tough choice…
But in the end, I had to go with the future Pirate King. Zoro would understand. ;)Exactly. He'd be glad he put up a good fight, but also glad that Luffy was ultimately P.K.. Cheers!
Well, since this may be the last message I'm able to post here before thread-closing time, I just want to give a big high-five to the numerous Zoro fans who delivered the goods with their interesting, amusing, fun and occasionally bizarre campaigns and especially with their votes.
And special gold (or should I say "green"?) stars go to N-Jun, Brave heart, threedayslater and the dynamic duo known as CEZ, for their efforts "above and beyond the call of duty".
You rock!
EDIT: Tare_Chan! Glad to see you back in this thread again!

Sweet! I'd put it in my sig, but I'm really lazy.

Thanks to all who voted and all who campaigned for our green friend! At the very least, we had the best campaigns going.

Wooo Hoo!! Luffy Won!! Take That Everyone Who Voted For Zoro!
-
Well, that just about wraps up this year's tournament. I gotta say that I'd much rather have had Bon-chan, Franky, or even Buggy as the winner, but this is good too. It also means that Oda is definitely doing something right if the main character is the most popular.
Great campaigning and spirit Zoro fans, but I believe we have our champion.
-
@Usopp:
They're riding cocks.
This made me laugh for an inappropriate amount of time XD
-
We only got one minute left for Voting. So vote for Zoro, and get a dental plan!! Luffy have braces.
-
I voted at the last minute
Oh awesome, I was the last one to vote
-
Even though this match has been a boring shut out since the beginning, I've got to give it to the Zoro fans for their non-stop efforts. I wasn't even planning on voting, but felt compelled to (and for a guy I don't even like that much) after seeing how hard they worked despite an impossible battle. I'm pretty sure others felt the same and that contributed to the narrowing of the gap, so props to you guys.
Makes me think that if the Crocodile fans had kept up the same way (and their campaign was really awesome in the first half) instead of getting demoralized and falling apart when Luffy pulled ahead, they could have possibley halved their gap, too.
Here's my other Luffy campaign with guest star Toriko

Good show, Zoro fans. Good show.
-
Good try Zoro, and good job Luffy! Though, it was predicatable that Luffy would come out victorious, it's nice to see that it wasn't a complete shut-out. ^^
-
@Taz:
HEATXZ, I will miss your campaigns most of all.
Thanks Taz :D
Now we need a Fanart of Luffy with a Huge Trophy -
awwww didn't vote after all but it wouldn't have mattered xD looks like Luffy one… still pretty boring xD oh well! Was a great tournament xD
-
Okay everyone, its closing time. Time for you to go out, go out into the world. Turn the lights up over every boy and every girl. One last call for alcohol, so finish your whiskey or beer.
Closing time - you don't have to go home but you can't stay here.
-
