Why isn't this locked yet? or is this going to turn in to the official Sengoku thread when he starts to kick ass?
Can Fleet-Admiral Sengoku fight?
-
-
so then what "truth" would he be awakened to?
That he is a character in a comic book.
Then he'd break the fourth wall constantly.
"Isn't this a sticky situation I've gotten myself into this time, eh kids? Don't forget to tune in next week to see how I extricate myself from it….Hey Naisho, who the hell said YOU were allowed to read?"
-
so then what "truth" would he be awakened to?
Tch, right, sorry, obviously it's the incredibly random bullshit Zoan connection that guy cobbled together out of saliva and found materials. What else?
-
You're just on fucking fire today, huh?
I lmao at a few posts recently. -
damn… I guess that would mean Sengoku can't fight then
-
In most series, the really, really, bad guys, I mean at the top, don't fight, because they don't have to, they are so persuasive they get others to do it for them.
But I think someone said this earlier:
I think the straight up admiral-vice-captain-marine rankings are power based. The "brains" are the Gurosei and the Tenryubito..
So it could be that Sengoku can fight, since he isn't the major enemy.
EDIT:
But in honestly, he seemed like a good guy due to his goat. I mean, what kind of villain is represented by a creature whose greatest potential for evil is to eat uninsured furniture.
-
Doubting Pwn Goat is pure heresy.

The goat is generally considered as the animal most connected with satanism.. and technically one of the animals most connected with the greatest potential for evil…
!
Pwngoat is pure malevolence.
-
And don't forget those perverted satyrs.
-
I bet he poops only black poop. That is not fun.
he shits dark material…and that in such amounts...damn it`s more than the material we know and can see\detect
BB is sure the SHIT!!
-
@Don:

!!!!!
-
With Pwngoat by his side, why would he even need to fight?
-
And Garp it was mentioned he and garp fought together agsint Roger in one piece yellow Data book.
They tell me the data books are the Star Wars:Incredible Cross-Sections of the OP franchise
-
I was thinking about this the other day. Sengoku has a lot of animals around him, this is for certain, he is also the ruler of all marines. This brought me to only one logical conclusion–
Sengoku... is a LION MAN!!
-

Didn't I hear that before?
Also, I believe that the pwngoat and only the pwngoat id the master
-
To be a Fleet-Admiral he had to have been an admiral at one point. So he was probably really strong when he was young, but he might have gotten weaker with age like Garp.

Or like with WB
wait
-
Sengoku is to me a marines trump card. If everything goes wrong and the admirals have problems fighting a strong opponent Sengoku will jump in.
Lets hope this may happen sooner rather than later.
-
I imagine Sengoku getting serious, taking off his glasses and beating down just about everyone(friend and foe) before Whitebeard stops him.
-
I doubt he can fight on a serious level. It would put too much power on the side of the Marines.
-

You're right, one person didn't get weak with age, meaning that in the One Piece world age means completely nothing.
-

All three admirals were easily deflected by Whitebeard and you think the Marines have too much power.
And you doubt a former Admiral who isn't elderly or even Garp age can fight seriously.
I doubt you can think on a serious level.
-
Probably above all the VA (Even Garp) but below the new shiny Logia Admirals (Marine Strongest)
-

A commander in WB-s division fought with an admiral equally.
-

To be fair, Marco stepped in on Kizaru's attack, and Akainu never really attacked at all. He remained at the back - by his own comment "if everyone leaves who will protect this place". He countered Jozu's iceberg, and the backlash of that counter was a volcanic shower on WB's position, not even on WB himself. It had all the pirates scrambling for their lives, and destroyed a ship. WB simply plucked one magma boulder from the sky to blow on it and make his birthday cake wisecrack. I'd love to see him actually attack Whitebeard though!
As for Aokiji, he stopped WB's attack, then got shattered. As did Nico Robin and Luffy to him earlier so it's hardly a big deal.
We'll have to see how the war progresses but at this moment the marines seem to have the upper hand.
-

So you think he got so far in the ranks and respected by Whitebeard (who doesn't treat any of the Admirals or Shanks with respect) by his ability to write paperwork.
Hey, when you see all 3 Admirals being fierce fighters and Garp being a badass it kinda seems apparent the guy who bosses them around and makes Doflamingo more or less behave is on the level.
-
Sengoku huh…?
Sengoku is gonna be SUPAAAAA~!!!
hell be able to woop the asses of all the sassy pups in the world! now dont forget he also has the GOAT... no one can beat that!
SUPAAAA~!!
-
Sengoku, John Giant, and (better not be the fucking Dalmation) Garp have been mysteriously absent since the fighting started. I'm waiting for a Retro Admiral offensive…..unless #3 was Dadan.
-

Class.
Kizaru launched laser beams into Marco's face to no effect and when he tried to attack Whitebeard earlier, he was told he was not ready to even take on the big man.
Aokiji got Whitebeard's attention from the get go, so I continue to maintain that he is the strongest Admiral by my backwards logic.
As for Akainu, he's still a mystery, but his opening move kind of locked him in as a "future Luffy enemy" from the get go, so, I don't know where to qualify him. Therefore, if there is an expendable marine uberforce, it is Sengoku at the moment. It's only fair that if Whitebeard dies, he take Sengoku with him.
Besides… Sengoku is a cyborg too, there I said it! -
Yes, I think Sengoku can fight since he's the fleet admiral, and I expect to see him fight soon in the upcoming chapters.
-

WTF?! IS this a language barrier problem? He wasn't told he wasn't ready. Marco basically referenced the war just starting and how it'd be too early for him to start fighting the boss.
It's just like video games Ryu aint fight M. Bison/Akuma right when you start to fight.
Aokiji got Whitebeard's attention from the get go, so I continue to maintain that he is the strongest Admiral by my backwards logic.
WTF?!!! LOL
I'm not even saying Aokiji can't be the strongest admiral but at least you recognize your "logic"
As for Akainu, he's still a mystery, but his opening move kind of locked him in as a "future Luffy enemy" from the get go, so, I don't know where to qualify him.
WTF!??!?!!! This future must involve Luffy suffering 3rd degree burns, maimed and torn limb, and his inevitable death. Hoe does Akainu's attack LOCK HIM IN from the get go as Luffy's enemy?
The way I've seen it WB has looked down on everyone there save when he encounters Garp and his clear recognition for Sengoku and he looks down on them rightfully so but I wouldn't be surprised if that bites him in the ass down the line.
Therefore, if there is an expendable marine uberforce, it is Sengoku at the moment. It's only fair that if Whitebeard dies, he take Sengoku with him.
Besides… Sengoku is a cyborg too, there I said it!And this is where I realize I've wasted my time.
-
Sengoku vs Whitebeard, now that's what I wanna see.
-
So you think he got so far in the ranks and respected by Whitebeard (who doesn't treat any of the Admirals or Shanks with respect) by his ability to write paperwork.
Crewmate: WB! I'm gonna get that glasses guy!
Whitebeard: Gurararararara, Watch out! Back in the day, that beast could fill out 5 inprisonment forms, 3 letters, and reorganise the filing cabinent all before breakfest!
-
Unlike the admirals, Sengoku looks scared.
-
Unlike the Admirals, Whitebeard actually talks about him with some respect.
-
¿Respect?
You mean when he mention the people of the "old days", well he also respect Garp and still the Admirals are confirmed as the "marine strongest", more than power he seems to respect experience and elderly (seing how he speak to Shanks)
-
Unlike the Admirals, Whitebeard actually talks about him with some respect.
what respect?
-
Sounds like respect to me. Unlike tellling Akainu to light candles on a birthday cake.
And Sengoku was a Admiral who was probably out fighting people like WB back when Aokiji and Akainu were mere Vice-Admirals and he happens to outrank his Admirals now. Unless you think the current 3 are stronger than their predecessor and boss then it stands to reason Sengoku is equal to or better than them.
-
This thread topic is painstakingly stupid.
Ex-Admiral. No one who got to be at admiral power level will be a pushover now.
Period.
-

I just pointed out that he looked scared. I didn't say he was not strong. Since Whitebeard talked to him in recent chapters it means they've met before and none died. But after reading the new chapter Sengoku although his face isn't shown, he just stands there while Oars is about to grap Ace. Either he has faith that someone will protect him or he can do something.
-

He knows that the Shichibukai just fucked Oars up. He lost half a leg. There's no way he'd be a problem after that.
-
Sengok->Songoku?
He can´t fight? Shuhan, you are a seriously idiot -
Don't we only see Sengoku after Oars has already gone done. Not surprising he is just standing there at that point.
But you know, during the build-up of this war, we got a lot of shots of the main participants. The shichibukai and the admirals as the strongest fighters on the WG's side, and later they show us the VAs. On WB's side, there is WB himself, his division commanders, and the NW captains. If Sengoku's so damn strong, why wasn't he ever portayed as being a fighter at all. It doesn't even look like he's going to do anything.
-
I dont have the picture but this is the exact Japanese word that was wriiten in GArp section
20年以上前にセンゴクと共に海賊王ゴ-ル.D.ロジャ-と渡り合いSengoku is mentioned that he fought the pirate king.
and this data book was written by Oda, so this is legit

So are you pretending Sengoku wasn't a Admiral or what.
Sorry, I'll take WB's word at face value when he puts Sengoku up there with Roger and Garp.

Is that for real? can someone else confirm this?
-
Is that for real? can someone else confirm this?
It is from one piece yellow or red, and to make it sure I even asked people who bought the original version of the book(since mine was translated in Korean, I wanted to be 100% sure) and I got an answer and the person even wrote the part in Japanese to confirm it.
-
Well thats enough for me. Ok can this thread end now?
-
Seriously when will this be locked? When he actually fights.
If there was a thread that belongs in the questions that don't deserve their own thread it is this one.
