I was not expecting to actually see Roger's face at the end. The face was very detailed with the shadow and the vein. Anybody else think that the vein matches the one Garp has in the picture?
This was a nice set up chapter to show how big Ace's death is to the world. Information wise there was only really that one unexpected piece of information, nothing else, but the pictures look incredible. There are a lot of giant people in the Marines. -
This is definitely one of (if not) the biggest twist ever in OP, and I love how there's about 4 or 5 full page spreads, but really. Let's be honest. The chapter was almost completely exposition. :/

So I guess next chapter we'll finally get Whitebeard's arrival while Luffy and co are still stuck behind the Gate and have to find some way to get through.

I wouldn't call it anything other than a question until you can get a definitive answer from a serious translator like Greg, DMAL, Demon Rin, etc, someone of their experience with the language.
EDIT: If you really want to use a translated reference, look up Stephen's translations. He was the standard before he retired. He did that chapter, though. Even with his expertise, it may be impossible to convey exactly what's intended in the Japanese language in English without knowing what possible plotholes lie ahead. It's normally safe to rely on him, but when referring to such specifics if the translator didn't know exactly what to look out for (which he wouldn't back then), it can get dangerous.
