I'll probably get flamed for this, but I could see a mass-join after Impel Down. Since we know all the characters from before, Oda won't have to develop them much further. (With this, I'm referring to Buggy, Galdino, Bentham, Perona and whoever more might show up. I don't see Crocodile nor Daz joining).

I would accept Buggy traveling with luffy till he finds his crew back but i doubt he would join the crew, even him having a dream and all, as for Mr3 y he could come with them also and join Buggy in his crew or Croc if he decides to remake Baroque Works as a pirate crew or something and accepts him back.
The only ones i think could really join is Jimbei or Mr2 but theres the voice problem with 2…
One that i would love to join the crew is Inazuma i really enjoyed is devilfruit and design but its the only reason for me to want him to join.

He;ll be playing catch up to Luffy and eventually go back with him to SA and then join.

first of all inzuma hasn't appeared in the anime yet so i'm sure they've been reading the manga

I have the feeling that Luffy will invite Bon Chan to join his crew as kind of "thanks for saving my ass down there".
I also get the feeling that mr. 3 will join Buggy's crew, and probably become his new first mate. I'm sure Buggy will be pissed that his crew gave up on him so easily.
I think that Buggy and Mr. 3 will probably travel with the SH's for awhile while they look for Buggy's crew. Let's face it Luffy would stupidly extend the offer to them for their "help" that they gave him and Bon Chan.
I don't really seing Inazuma, Iva, Croc or Jinbei joining. Iva and Inazuma, if they make it out alive will probably meet up with Dragon. Croc may go with Mr. 1 to start another crew with the idea of hunting down Whitebread. And Jinbei may join WB, seeing as how he's already given up his title pretty much. Ands he's got mad respect and loyalty for WB.

ha cause we know so much about the new world. hell before we entered the grand line, the way it was talked about and shown made it seem like it was just a shit ton of pirate ships sailing around killing each other.
and now how did the grand line turn out to look like. We have no idea what new world will be like now either. Hell there could be guys sailing around or sitting and putting themselves for hire like a mercenarry. and joins pirate crews or whatever.

g^Yall say that now but the crew is clearly not that strong yet. I can easily see the min they get back above sea level they get handled like when they went to Skypiea or when Cp9 beat em up or when Aokiji beat them down or similar to how Kizaru played around with them and I can see it all be done by one short, stumpy, midget like pirate that isn't the strongest in his own crew.
That's neither here nor there though because a completed crew probably wouldn't change that scenario lol. I don't expect for when the crew is reunited that they're all insanely stronger. At most it'll be stronger like when Cp9 beat em up and then they came back in EL and defeated them.

What I am sure of is that there should be a merman in Luffy's crew. That would make luffy's crew more diverse and set apart from other crews. So I agree that noone will join in this arc. Allthough I see a slight possibility for Jimbei and maybe Hancock. Jimbei might join after Fishman Island, but its on Fishman Island that they are gonna recruit a new nakama. That I am sure of.

Why not have normal person with a size fruit, as the other way round seems a but pointless.
In fact lets just scrap the idea of having a giant as it might clash with the whole point of Luffy having a unique move (gear 3rd)
Plus the whole size thing would be tricky on the ship, as well as the covert options the crew would have whilst visiting other towns. In other words he would stick out like a sore thumb if they were trying to lay low.

At the end, after hanging the Den Den Mushi up on a terrified murderer/rapist calling in to report their complete defeat, Usopp can say "Just as planned!"
