Hey I noticed a little error in the 392 subs.
When Urouge has all his info up on screen the subtitled translation for his bounty says "180 million berries" when it says 1億800万ベリー in Japanese which is 108 million. Although it was probably just a typo in this case, as a student of Japanese I know how confusing their number system can be :blink:
Anyway about the finger, I wonder if Law's was originally in at the auction house? Also, this talk of cut material makes me wonder if Sentoumaru's appearance was originally included in 391 or not…

That's actually interesting. Makes me wonder if Toei sends the stuff to the network to see what is and isn't allowed. Then they make changes accordingly. I do know this was the case with GantZ when it was broadcasting on FujiTV (though that was Gonzo, not Toei, and the DVDs were uncensored, something I'm not expecting to happen with One Piece. That and GantZ was a whole different beast all together).
It's ironic, since they used to allow flipping the bird on television a number of years ago. I guess times have changed.

Why not "Drive", It fits almost all of the contexts/meanings.

I second the "Ambition" motion. I went back and reread the Amazon Lilly arc, and when Luffy tells the two sisters to stops, he uses hi "ambition" to subdue him. Watching this, Hancock remarks that he can't control his "ambition" yet. So to me it fits. Not too sure about the other remarks in the crowds, where they say his "ambition" in the legendary 1 in a million.

Yeah, うちの人 is a common phrase that can mean husband in that context, usually used when with friends rather than in formal situations. There's actually a whole bunch of ways to say husband in Japanese, depending on the situation, 主人,夫,亭主, 旦那, even just あの人 in some cases.
At first I was like that wtf that's crazy that she lets him go womanizing, but Japanese fans had the same reaction. I guess that's just how they are.

It was just a matter of time. I've been telling my contact from Toei Animation Inc. for a while now that getting a legal digital distribution deal for "One Piece" should be a top priority. Of course I'm not taking credit, I mean even back at Anime Expo '08 Gen Fukunaga wanted to get the digital rights to "One PIece" since he didn't think it was gonna come back to T.V.

Comparing the experience watching 392 versus 391, I'd say, by about 410, they should have the performance perfect. Perhaps it's my connection (cable being shared) but other downloads today were fine.

I don't think I've ever heard it used in cases of just a boyfriend, the only time I can imagine a girlfriend using it is in a comical situation where she's being overpossessive maybe. But in other contexts it can take its literal meaning.
