Not sure if anyone's picked up on it yet (I don't have the time to read through all the posts here and in the spoiler section…) but that scene with Nami spying on that conversation is a parody from a famous skit in Japan called Akudaikan (悪代官) I'm pretty sure.

And what purpose did putting the Sun Pirate's ship there? Couldn't Wadatsumi have just grabbed the Sunny without swapping it with something else? Surely that would have required less effort. Seems the the only reason the other ship was sacrificed was to provide some burning wreckage to trick the readers with in the previous chapter...

I was pretty disappointed with this episode 
I don't think I've been this disappointed for a while actually. It was dragged out like crazy and I just found it plain boring to be honest.
^Let's just say go with your gut next time. 
Japan isn't that close to Australia. I run into a lot of people who seem to get that idea for some reason :blink:
We're still like a 9-10 hour plane trip away on average. It's like us saying, "Wow you Americans are so much closer to Morocco than we are. They must have such a big cultural impact on you guys!" Japan is pretty much just as close to us as Hawaii is I think.
Anyway my answer to the question is, yeah I'll probably start buying them once they catch up to the US releases, or are at least a month or two behind. We'll see what happens.
