That's still constant quality mode with the same quantizer as last week's. It was just that much more compressible. It looks even better ;-)

lies… You just forgot to add the 100 mbs of turtle porn that u usually stuff in those things to make them look "high quality".

How are 100MB of tortoise fornication not Hi-Quality?
-
WTF, how have I been missing out on this?
-
Thanks a bunch, Yibis~
-
Thanks! Looks like your website is having issues again?
-
I was supposed to get 100MB of Testudinidae pornography? I feel cheated.
Anyway, seems like Toei hired out a choir of Gregorian monks for Roger's death scene. Interesting.
Yep, the big Forty-Oh was a good episode. Thanks a lot.
-
So you guys aren't going to wait for a better raw? When do the mp4 raws start showing up?
-
The RAW they used is actually very high quality.
-
@Skull:
So you guys aren't going to wait for a better raw?
There is no better raw.
-
16 characters of DON!!!!1
-
There is no better raw.
But don't mp4 raws usually show up later? And from the looks of it you used my raw after bashing it. Kinda contradictory.
-
He didn't. He used the transport stream, which is superior in quality to the mp4, thus not as contradictory.

What transport stream?

Check out pd. I hear that's where you can find it, though my pd access is quite poor personally.

If by pd you mean Perfect Dark, do you know of anyone who knows how to use it and could show me how? I have it downloaded and all but can't find tutorials for the latest version/interface of it and have no idea where to enter nodes or if there's anything further I need to do to set it up (other than route the port).

yeah, the webhost is getting funky again. Sent you a pm skull kid, though I don't think it'll be that helpful. Sorry.
Edit: Give this tut a go, though I'm sure you would have found this already by now. http://www.jcafe24.com/index.php?topic=518.0

Yeah I've seen that one. Wish there was one for the latest version though, which has an English interface (and looks pretty different layout wise).

This is easily my favorite episode of the arc thus far. Even though most of the answers we got were things we already suspected or knew it was great to find out the details of some other things. Especially how Gold Roger really went down. I've been waiting for 400 episodes to find out what really killed the King of the Pirates.
Robin asking about the void century was cool, but I'm kinda bummed we didn't get another hint about the Will of D. It's also a bummer that Gold Roger couldn't read the ancient text. That's another mystery to figure out.
Luffy giving Usopp the verbal bitchslap was good though. Totally a Luffy move.
-
thhankkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
-
Thanks for the release!
Could you put up a link to the script here? -
Luffy doesn't like spoilers. Don't mess with him.
-
I guess everyone read the news about Funimation's streams now? If not: They're going to stream subs within one hour of the Japanese airtime, but this is only for the people living in America.
So are you going to continue subbing One Piece, Yibis? I don't know what country you're based in, but KubuSubs is continuing for the Europeans that can't watch the stream as the entire team's from The Netherlands.
-
I don't know what country you're based in.
Global.
KubuSubs is continuing for the Europeans that can't watch the stream
The streams can be downloaded and uploaded to public filehosts so that's not the problem.
-
It's pointless to stop.
-
Never saw FMA's stream being released, only those of Crunchyroll by HorribleSubs.
I need to look better, I guess -
It's pointless to stop.
Agreed. Having some online stream is hardly a good substitute for actually being able to download, collect, and archive a series so you can see it whenever you want. With streams you rely on them being up and they are inferior to having an actual episode file in just about every way.
-
yeah funimation will stream starting from episode 403 this 30 may '09
but the quality is the worst ever
i downloaded the episode 391 they give on onepieceofficial.com
the resolution is 640x360 in .flv format 220mb. alot of BAD block appearing in low motion
so watch out for high action sequencesIf any of you ever downloaded on winny. but 3-4 years ago, alot of the videos were encoded in 640x360 (~175mb) for Wide screen episodes, and the quality was incredible! even for TV-RIP
then, some "upgraded" to 704x396 (~230mb) it was clearly better!
Then .mkv container made its apparition, and we found alot of 720x480 (~230mb) (16:9) or (4:3) auto-ratio resizing by the code container like mpeg2.mpg did.
and now we are in the High Defenition era. 1280x720.mp4 is now like having .mp3 4-5 years ago.so the reason i'm saying this is because funimation resizes the episodes to 480x360 weighing 220mb and it looks like Total Crap, not even as nice as an episodes ripped by a old codec coded 4 years ago. Yibis and Kubusubs offer 1280x720.mp4 at 260mb
and the quality is just amazing. More over they do it for free!!
Why do you think Funimation licensed One Piece from episodes 403?! its because they want all the clicks every week from everyone who's watching one piece. The translation might be more accurate (as they said on the kubusubs website) but i highly doubt it…btw for people who's archiving "Raws": [CYB3RFR34K-ISO] One Piece 001 400
Including All Movies Ova's & Specials (DVD_HDTV).torrent

You the man wit' da plan Skull Kid.
I gots mahself a full HD of One Piece Eps & a folder of
One Piece Screencaps catagorized by characterHaving things where you want them is great !!
-
i don't know. I think that it is a good idea to support the funi effort in the hope that they will improve in the future. If the source is taking care of the subs, we can expect a lot more consistency than any fansubbing group. Just a personal opinion though, and yeah, I agree that the vid qual+timing could be better.
-
its very good for me!
i'll OCR at the secondes they release it on the official website
and post it on my website lol -
ocr? avisubdetector?
-
What happened to http://www.yibis.com? Now it links to http://www.anirena.com/group/Yibis-subs/, a list of torrents.
Are the site and forums going to be up again soon? My preferred way of downloading the episodes are the megaupload links on there.
-
yup, that's the one i use.
really easy to use and configure
it take me less than 30 min to OCR
a 24 min episodes.
40 min to watch the episodes
over the ocr.srt and correct bad timing,
missing lines, words and letters.Hint.avs:
–--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
directshowsource("C:[DB]Bleach_219[4001B267].avi",fps=15.00,convertfps=true)
greyscale()
crop(8,398,-8,-16)
–--------------------------------------------------------------------------------this is the reason why it take me less time. cause i downframing the video to 15fps.
i use greyscale (black & white filter) so avisubdetector dont try colors adjustements
for caracther recognition, and stay very stable.
i crop the video so the process cant scan over the subtitles "zone" position in the video. -

That doesn't mean you can't try others like xdcc bots on IRC if necessary. Iirc there are lists of ddls fom filehosts like MU available on our channel too.

Above link has all our releases on megaupload. Site'll be up when the hosting service provider decides to come back from wherever he's been for the last week. -

http://cyb3rfr34k.thebotkiller.ath.cxWell the ANN news article says that FUNimation partners are gonna get the episode soon after the initial showing on onepieceofficial.com, so that means its gonna go on sites like Hulu (and there is no reason to assume that they would use the same exact video file on for other sites). Most videos that I've encountered on Hulu have been pretty decent (in 480p mode) obviously not the quality of 720p+ non streaming releases, but certainly good enough.
-
I wish we got Hulu in Canada.
