In defense of the Rasengan ending: at least he used it at the very, very, very end of the fight. He used everything else he had, from frog techniques to the Rasenshuriken to even the Kyuubi for every other phase of the Pain fight. To see him using Rasengan as his very last technique to finish him off really just striking the final nail on the coffin. The fight is over (I hope), let's move on.
You guys do not appreciate the awesomness of killing an enemy with the most weak attack.. you rly humiliate him. It's like winning a team with 1-0 on the remaining minute. It's drives you almost crazy when you think about it. That's what kishi tries to tell you but you guys aint listen. He tries to send nagato to a psychiatric hospital so he will have even worse end and the fans of naruto will coup d'etat and take the series from kishimoto's hands, as soon as they rape him with hinata's mask on his head of course.

I think… Juraiya used a super weak-sauce version on those random shmucks as a joke, more as a blast of wind than an actual Rasengan.
You seem to forget that the Rasengan killed Kabuto. Kabuto thought he had blocked it, that his SUPER ELITE healing powers were able to stop it, that it had nothing severe...
then he coughed up blood and died. Despite his elite healing abilities. That was an awesome way to take the Orochimaru flunkie out and a crazy ending for Kabuto, who I always liked, since he had that whole potential double agent traitor thing going on.
So yes, Rasengan HAS taken out other ninja before, super elite healing ones at that. ANd its such a great move that even Konohamaru is learning how to do it, and HE used it to destroy one of the Pain bodies! (That the Pain body was healed after is irrelevent, Konohamaru still killed it.)
Anyway, that's how I choose to remember as Kabuto's last appearance. With a cool bit of arragonace, followed by surprise death at Naruto's hands, from the rasengan. Same way Neji and Choji died while trying to save Sasuke. Those were great deaths too, very emotional and tragic.

There's nothing to assume this Pain's body is modified to take damage, especially when his power unlike the other Pain's doesn't pertain to his body. A normal rasengan can do a lot of damage to this guy.

But you know.. there is always the most simple way to deal with stronger enemies. Weaken them down with mass amount of clones, use all your best technieques and then hit them with rasengan. IF you aren't already dead, you have a high percentage of winning.

I think something's been misunderstood here.
At the very start of this thing I said "Naruto probably beat Pain this way to save his body," which is why I keep bringing up how the other Rasengan's incinerate the body. I'm thinking Kishi's planning to have Pain say something before passing out or something along those lines.
I'm also not arguing why Naruto used the Rasengan, I just mentioned a previous post as secondary support. I'm arguing that the normal Rasengan is enough to knock out Pain right now. It's just that some people on this board seem to have the impression that it shouldn't be enough to hurt Pain…for some reason.
Decent chapter. I'm not crazy about Naruto using the damn Rasengan as a finisher, but I think the creative use of clones made up for it. Kagebunshin don't HAVE to be boring.

One of the Rinnegan's main strengths was that Pain could use it to see through the eyes of the other Pains and thus guard himself and his blind spots appropriately, as well as coordinate different attacks and defenses without the use of signals.
That's all pretty useless when one of them is by themselves, of course.

It's typical for shonen: if there is some weird or bizarre power, 9 out of 10 it's connected to the source of the bizarre or weird powers in this world. But the one good thing about OP: one DF per power, therefore there aren't two rubber men out there and there isn't duplication akin to Naruto Jutsus, certain Ki powers in DB, etc.

Hell this fight was a
spectacular fight, much better than I expected. The destruction of Konoha and the badassery of Naruto's return.
Fight was awful, Naruto has had a stupidly large power jump, Konoha getting destroyed was a limp attempt at Kishi to again channel his beloved Katsuhiro Otomo.
I also liked the philosophical discussions

How can anyone consider the current naruto arc bad is beyond me. It has been the best arc in ages, in by no means is a bad arc, it has a good villain and the protagonist get’s his time to shine just like it happens in almost any shounen manga… in fact, this Naruto arc has been the most shounist arc in Naruto in the sense that we see the main character arrive late and save all his friends in a big battle where everyone stays in the sidelines cheering for him, if you say this arc is horrible you’re saying every shounen manga that follows similar ideas is horrible.
