Tv deal, blah blah blah Tv deal.
I thought Toei had final say on TV deals. They want Cartoon Network and won't settle for anything less. All Funi can do is license episodes to release on DVD and anything pertaining to merchandise.
Am I the only one who can see movie 10 being shown on FX? It just seems perfect…same for Evangelion 1.11.....
I personally think the One Piece needs a few ads. Most anime ads are in places anime fans look. But what you need to do is make new fans. Sadly the only way to make fans is either do a TV or comic book ad or have the series air on TV. Oddly I wouldn't be a One Piece fan if I didn't see it on Korean TV 5 years ago when I worked there. Ads = Increase fan base = more money = faster releases.
Number one is get it on TV.
But I think releasing STRONG WORLD would be a fantastic way to get people into the series quickly, instad of watching episodes that are ten years old.
You know what would be twice as awesome? Airing Strong World on tv.
I think I speak for everyone when I say:
FUNI NEEDS TO GET ONE PIECE ON TV AND GET STRONG WORLD DUBBED!
Personally they should start dubbing the movies from 1. No reason not to at this point. Sure some of them are pretty bleh and some are meh, but getting 4,6,9, and 10 would be worth it. I don't really enjoy the only one dubbed is 8, although I understand why they started with that one first, but it surprises me that 1 hasn't been done yet, at the least.
Funi doesn't actually get to dub the movies right off the bat just because they have license for the series. I'm pretty sure permission for movie releases (and dubbing for that fact) is separate from TV contracts. Don't quote me on that though, I'm not 100% sure.
I don't have Funi's channel (T_______________T) unfortunately, though I've been trying to get it, but I think someone mentioned that OP isn't on there either. So I'd recommend that first.

Well, I do believe that's what the issue is with the Yu Yu Hakusho movies, isn't it?
Besides, the movies being behind isn't anything particularly unusual. If I recall, the first Broly movie from DBZ came out around the time GT was starting?
@Dixxy:
Personally I'm not really sure why it is not on Funimation's channel
This is a good point.
Why on earth is it not on their own channel?
Take Pokemon and Yugioh. Would they be known as card games if not for the anime? doubtful. DBZ was famous in America before many Americans knew how to pronounce "manga" correctly.
I've hardly ever heard an american pronounce it correctly.
One Piece to be streamed on the new 4kids anime streaming site, Toonzaki?
If you look in the image above the 'nd' of Thousands, it looks like a blurred image of the image below:
The source code says one piece as well. Sorry to be off topic but I wonder why can't FUNi do this Detective Conan/Case Closed also.
Awesome. Hopefully it'll air on Toonzai, then!
Also, if you look at the T in "Thousands," and two images over, it looks like a blurred image of Luffy.
Blah, not sure if want. I hope it'll be on Nicktoons too, because that channel really pays a lot of respect to its shows (so much advertising and airtime for DBZK, it's great), while Toonzai gives us crappy commercials that don't make sense.

That's not Luffy, that's the main character from Yu-Gi-Oh! GX.

I'd REALLY rather it be on Nicktoons Network, because if it was on 4kids' block, it would be edited to hell and back.
EDIT: That pic also shows Naruto, so I don't think it's a credible gauge for what shows will be on Toonzai.
@Badass:

No…it's definitely that image:
Who knows? Maybe we'll get it on both? Hell, One Piece on TV is what I care about right now, regardless. It's not like they'll be cutting entire episodes out.
Find a Channel, since that will cast the One Piece Dub rod wider, and give more room for people to catch the show while perhaps channel-surfing, and become regular watchers. ie fans.
DVD releases in stores? Well only the 'already anime fans' will know about that.
Is it me, or do I see blurred Naruto images as well? O.o it's below the "nds"
@Ferno:

We've known for a while now Naruto would be on the site. The original site mock-up had a lot of Naruto images.
Remember guys this is for 4kids Toonzaki online streaming site not the TV Toonzai block.
@Zach:
No…it's definitely that image:
Yeah…that's the image above "nd". Which is obviously One Piece.
But Mikey was talking about an image 2 places to the left of the "T" and said it looked like Luffy. Upon zooming in, I noticed that it wasn't Luffy, but the main character from Yugioh GX. Which is what I was saying.
So what, are dubbing companies and some affiliates basically saying the future of anime is streaming?
Because this is like the fourth or fifth legal anime streaming site that's come out since FUNimation first started to simulcast One Piece.
Nooooo
I don't want it on Toonzai anymore. God, this just ruins my day.

FUNimation has basically been saying this for months, just look at the constant over-haul they've been making to their sites as well as the sites they stream at.

How is this a bad thing at all?

But if they air it with Dragonball Z Kai, they could use those fancy bumpers they had in Japan. Especially if it's at 9.
But it'll be one of those full circle situations. And then somehow it'll end back up on Cartoon Network.
But if they air it with Dragonball Z Kai, they could use those fancy bumpers they had in Japan. Especially if it's at 9.
But they wouldn't.
However, we do have to look at the bright side. CW4Kids would be a channel that almost everybody gets as opposed to Nicktoons which you have to pay more to get. I don't even have Nicktoons myself. This would allow for more exposure. (Although what kid gets up that early on Saturday anymore? lol)
The degree to which it would be edited would be sad, but you have to remember we are not the target audience of that block. Kids are, more specifically kids who haven't even been exposed to One Piece.
Everybody else will just watch it online or buy the DVD's. It's kind of like how people complained about Shippuuden being on Disney XD. The series in its entirety (that was out, of course) was up to stream uncut for free and people were complaining about how it will be cut on Disney XD. It isn't aimed at you. The TV airing is for new fans.
As long as Sanji doesn't end up with a lollipop and Laboon doesn't turn into an iceberg I wouldn't be complaining too much.
They're just streaming the anime online. People can start shitting themselves with joy or horror until an actual TV deal is announced.
we are not the target audience of that block. Kids are
But kids are the primary audience for One Piece.
Its about time American TV mans up and stops sugar coating everything for them.

As it's been said, it's not gonna be on Toonzai. It's gonna be on Toonzaki which will stream uncut anime online.

Yeah, I was overeacting a tad much. I still have hope that it will be on Nicktoons!
I think their next step should be to release Season 3 of Sgt. Frog.
FUNi should just make as many dubbed eppisode as possible :) I migh actually buy some on DVD
But kids are the primary audience for One Piece.

true as that may be, but if its foreign, then apparently it must be cut down a bit, just calling it as i see it. dont really know why
seeing as the show promotes lots of good things such as:
believing in your friends, strive for your goals, blah blah blah
an with good humor, dialogue, and most importantly…..PLOT!
Haha, Toonzai edited the halos in DBZK today.
Can't wait for 4Kids One Piece take 2.

I like how most american cartoons don't really have a forwarding plot. Only thing I remember have a forwarding plot would have to be Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy which was the whole concept of ripping off people to get jawbreakers. Other than that I can't really remember any.
Avatar is very serialised.
Same with Ben 10, though I don't really like it all that much. :/

I also liked Alien force, it had that fresh "Time skip" feeling to it, though my biggest gripe has to be that every episode seemed to take place at night.

Are you sure you saw Billy and Mandy?
Because last time I checked, Billy and Mandy….wasn't an anime. gasps
Toonzaki is an anime and ANIMATION site as well.
Toonzaki is an anime and ANIMATION site as well.
Anime and animation are the same thing, but I get what you're saying.
I guess having both Japanese and Western animation shows on the same site would attract more people.
Toonzaki has launched and One Piece seems to be the most populr show on the site. XD
