I seriously don't think Hancock will join. All the SH still have a long way to go in terms of power. And Hancock, being a shickibukai is most likely already at her peak in terms of power/skill .

There is a past that has yet to be revealed about her. How she got the title, it was mentioned that she did something to get have the WG offer her a spot of the 7. No one else mentioned about how other Shichibukai's got their status, only Hancock was actually mentioned.
Looks like I'm leaning towards Boa now…but I doubt we'll actually be getting a new crew member anytime soon.

It was actually stated by Sengoku himself that she´s a strong asset,so I wouldn´t underestimate her.The thing with her bounty I think was that she got her 80 million on her first raid as a Kuja Pirate.So I think it means she is no pushover…even if you can resist her charm :D

What is so great about Ace? If Oda wants a logia using nakama he could just make up one. Ace has forced coolness and being a loser on his side.

And I also reject the idea of Ace for nakama. Seriously, the only person we've met who might join is Boa. Because she's going to die if she doesn't, and now she has a dream: To see the WG suffer, and to be next to Luffy.
Something still seems a bit off about her (Maybe the fact she's a shichibukai?!), but I'm seriously just going to watch and see if Oda pulls a hattrick with one of the pirates in jail.

Both Nami and Brook use area of effect abilities and technically you could say Robin grappeling multibple fodder is as well.No, (most likely) fishmen and merpeople would not function underwater if eating a DF.

Nah Ace clearly has his coolness forced upon him similar to Mihawk but greater. Shanks meh, I don't think cool at all when he comes to mind and more so when it comes to WB.

Yea I'm not fond of ppl bringing up old characters to join now, it's stale but I don't know how that'd be pulled off for Luffy to get a nakama under these circumstances. I mean not being with his crew and trying to save his brother's life, I doubt he'd blurt "Join my crew" to anybody unless all of his crew end up with him at ID and the person really helps him out in saving Ace and then at the end of the arc ask him. Or maybe the person pulls a Robin and basically demands to be on the crew lol.

well I understand that but it's different for me between Ace and Mihawk because I see Mihawk in a different light after reading the Monster one shot. I know the bad guy isn't Mihawk but he clearly was the early version of him and I see Mihawk as a lame. I wouldn't be surprised if he turned out to be a person with no honor and just coward in the end lol.
All his forced coolness is basically negated for me after reading the Monster pilot(even though they're not the same character).

At the moment,with all the assumed pirates on ID,friend's,foe's etc. are all possible new crew members.
But we should make one thing clear:
Until now,every new member has had a sad past revealed before 100% joining (Robin wasn't a full strawhat,until the water seven and enies lobby event's).
I would say,the list is limited at 2 possible new member's:
1.Boa - Her past was damn shit,i would say,even more sad than that of Robin's.
And only one possible member (before joining 100% ) cried in front of Luffy like that,and that was Robin.
She endet as new crew member,so Boa chances are high.2.Ace - I don't see WB pulling out a victory here.
His death was forshadowed since Doflamingo made this coment about a new pirate era
coming.WB is the last pirate from the old day's,so his death is inevitable (Zik,here is youre waited death).
As Ace dream seem's to be making WB the pirate king,what dream would he have when there is no WB anymore.
He may join Luffy and made his new/old dream to making Pirate King Luffy instead of WB.
And what speaks more for Ace:
Every new crew member was saved by Luffy before joining (Nami from Arlong,Lysopa from the cat dude,Zorro from Morgan etc.).
It's not impossible with Oda as the Artist.He might even surprise us,and add 2 new crew members this time.
It would be something completely new and unexpected (typically Oda style).
Both cases,Boa and Ace,fill these premises.And at the Boa new strawhat fandom (which i'm one of) don't put to much hope in this,the dissapointment might be than even higher if she won't join.I experiencet this once and it's not funny (kishi with Naruto).

Bullshit. You should say every SH has had a sad past period. When it's revealed doesn't matter. If you forget Nami had already joined and her past was revealed 2 arcs later, similar to the way Robin's past was revealed(arcs later).
As for your options, it's the same lame ones suggested by other ppl in this thread.

Hancock have the most chances of joining right now, i remember that when brook appeared he start telling his story behind his dead but it was not a proper flashback, so we might see a proper flashback from her slave time on a future

I don't think Boa will join because there's so little emphasis on her story compared to other SHs (only Robin joined with such little emphasis but we've been told Boa's past so there's no mystery). Ace's tragedies are happening in the present and have been foreshadowed for some time so he's getting something there (which we'll see more of later, no doubt) and, of course, Luffy's saviour role is coming into play.
Besides, unlike Boa, who has her own life, island and purpose, there's very little for Ace to do should he fail to join. Getting to Whitebeard right now would be hell - and that's if he (WB) survives. It's join or die and I like him, so I'd prefer he join. Sure, he lost to BB but most of the SHs have lost at various points - they just come back stronger.
I like Boa too but I don't think she's as good of a character as the rest of the SHs and has less potential for development than Ace. The lovesickness is the only enigmatic element and I'm betting that'll be gone by the end of the arc/saga. We know her powers, past and personality already and none are all too compelling. How would she build on her powers? What could she do that the other SHs couldn't? We've already got a manipulative, take-no-nonsense girl in Nami and an older, beautiful, dark-haired woman with Robin. Sanji's got the hopeless lovesickness too.
If she doesn't join but is discovered to be working against the WG, then there's more for her to do, she could take WB's place if he falls (as could Jinbei) and she would need to protect her island, do her duty to her people.
Then again, Oda's always got tricks up his sleeves so you never know ^.^

I really don't get that first part are you implying that Luggy will get to Ace before WB AND save him, and so Ace will join? And then WB might die anyway? lol.
Why do you guys keep downplaying Ace's loyalty to WB? In all honesty he isn't the best character and since he's not in the crew he doesn't have much development but if there's one thing that is clear is that Ace wants to make WB PK. Everything that has lead up to now is because he is loyal to WB. If he wasn't he could've just lied about going after BB or said he's not going to do it.
I can't fathom a scenario where Ace says he wants to join or Luffy even asks him to join the crew whether WB dies or not.
Also if WB dies you know what type of effect that would have on Ace? being the cause of his captain's death? and just join your little brother's pirate crew as if things are okay? Ace wouldn't do that that'd just be terrible and show his true character. If he did do that hopefully the WB pirates hunt him down and kill him.
Also I'm pretty confident that Luffy sees Ace as a rival and wouldn't want him on his crew anyway

you are probably right, there wont be anyone worthy of joining on impel down that had been seen before, but if Luffy breaks out Ace in order to escape then he would have to steal a ship then many ppl will eventually come along with him, obviusly is not just Ace who will escape maybe all Impel down will be released, so there might be new good faces

Simply let all the prisoners out, inmates riot, Impel Down falls apart from the inside and amidst the chaos, Luffy, Boa and Ace will escape without notice. Anyone who notices will just be blown away.
Ace will depart and join up with WB…then he dies for no apparent reason. That works.
