Don't know if Oda did that but stuff like that makes me think he isn't gonna have a giant like that join the crew, even though it would be badass.

Also in a way that kind of character would basically be Luffy on gear 3 at all times lol….......

That's a horrible thing to call Boa. There was nothing that would deem her to be called that. Anyways, I would to see Boa join since the crew needs some more beautiful women in their crew.

^ i also thought of that too well technically anyone who wants a Giant on the crew think that, then realices that a giant as a SH is imposible due that the size cant fit in the ship and then think of the shrinking DF, is actually a really unoriginal character if you think that way

i actually think that there are to many old characters; luffy(17), usopp(17) and chopper(15) are the youngest members , then nami(18), sanji and zoro (19) and after that all the rest is old, robin (28) and the rest is older, i think that the next member had to be young between 20-25 minimun, so boa is not an option

Yea I too think Ida has reached the age limit and quota for nakama. That's like the realistic aspect to this crew of pirates. If not then a crew of youngsters all in the same age range would be less believable and more like the groups in K-H-Reborn or Rave or Fairy Tail.

I think Oda will go back to maybe somebody Luffy's age and then somebody in that age range Ravager mentioned(20-25).

still there is also posible to have someone way over that chart, Oda brings alot of importance to the 400years ago era, there could be a 400+ oldguy that joins like a plant like creature or even a kid younger than chooper with a wicked DF, still right now the most probable thing is a young female member but it seems odd that he is avoiding the 20-26 age

One of the reasons I liked the idea (when I thought of it way back when) of a Giant with a shrinking-type DF, was because I imagined it condensing his strength into a smaller and more agile body, making him faster and more powerful despite his size. Something like this from Kekkaishi comes to mind.

Its about personality, job and dreams. More importantly is your personality, job, or dream unique enough to seperate you from others. thus giving you screen time.

I like hancock cause shes totally unconventional from the others. She has no job, all she has is the love hurricane. HEr personality is super ego and the love for luffy can spark some hilarious moments.

Okay, with the latest chapter, my theory has changed.

As Luffy would be heading to Impel Down, there is a very good chance that Mr. 2 would join the Straw Hats. No one else in Impel Down that has already been revealed will join with the exception of Mr. 2. He's the ideal Straw Hat. He's entertaining, he has a special kink that every Straw Hat does, and he's a decent fighter. I cannot see Crocodile, Mr. 1, or Mr. 3 joining the crew, but I can see them aiding the Straw Hats while they escape.

we have already seen a monsterous giant with the agility of luffy… in one piece size doesn't matter... in that matter.
a dwarf eating a growth fruit is basically the same thing and just as unoriginal, exept if they don't look like the usual dwarf. an insect like dwarf in shape and size would be different for example.
an insect or an alien is just what i'd like to see and it's not that unlikely considering luffys affinity to the hercule beatle on jaya f.e..

Here's the deal. First off, he didn't join the first time because he was never given a valid enough opportunity. Instead of joining, he vouched to sacrifice himself to save the Straw Hats. Second, A lot of the more serious members of the crew find Brook annoying (Nami and Robin, mostly, but yeah…) Also, I don't really think they thought he was very annoying at all. I mean, Vivi, Nami, and Sanji found him annoying, but that was about it.

Also, why not? If Hard Gay can be an internet sensation, Mr. 2 can join the Straw Hats! That's my view.

I understand the similar voice thing, which might discourage my theory a bit. However, the fact that he is in Jail is the very reason I am suggesting it. He's in Impel Down. Luffy is headed to Impel Down. No doubt Luffy could help Croc, Mr. 1, Mr. 2, and Mr. 3 escape so they can attempt to help him out in the battle. It never hurts to have two shichibukai on your side while going against the WG, yeah? Also, even with that, Mr. 2 has the potential to join in this manner unless Oda throws in a plot twist a la LOST and has some completely unlikely character join (Meaning one completely implausible like Smoker or Aokiji).

So Marge is out and with Sengoku praising Hancock's power her joining seems even more unlikely as she'd seriousley unbalance the crew in relation to the rest of the world and it's internal powerlevels.

I guess the next crew mate will be a fishperson if the crew is going to be fully assembled before they entere the NW. I'm starting to believe that the crew may actually already be complete.

May I ask why everyone now assumes that Marguerite is out? She has shown interest in the crew in this chapter once again (she has been the only character on Amazon Lily doing this so far) and Luffy promised her that he'd come back with his nakama.

So why everyone's suddenly writing her off is beyond me.

Well, honestly, he's said stuff to that effect before, when he obviously isn't going to be able to make it back there anytime soon. The reason I can see him getting back there in the near future is because it would be a sanctuary for his crew since it's off-limits to the World Government. I guess it could serve as a staging area for the crew to set off again once they're fully reunited, but I don't see it as likely at the moment.

Anyway, I'm glad I never made any statements like her joining was 100% set-in-stone. I'm a bit disappointed that Marguerite turned out to be a plot device so that Hancock could have her ~~rushed~~, ~~ill-handled~~ turnaround, as the character showed the potential to be taken places, and was a far more plausible speculation than any other recent character, but I'm not all broken up over it, and a female fighter and a Fishman Karate Fishman are still on my wishlist for the last two Straw Hats.

What I do despise is that this is just going to give the Hancock joining movement more steam, and that's terrible.

Two things came to mind: One, Luffy hasn't – and we haven't -- learned very much about Haki yet. While I expect Luffy to learn or pickup something about it on the way to or at Impel Down, I would say there is still a possibility of him (or them) returning to Amazon Lily for their traditional end of the arc party where we tend to learn those little details that we were curious about during the arc. Something like that tends to happen, right? Skypiea comes to mind, but perhaps that is the only example. Keep in mind Hancock needs a ride back to Amazon Lily. Even if for some crazy reason she joins, I doubt she will do so without parting ways with her nation. Since she needs a boat back to her island, my guess would be either Luffy (maybe with crew) will return with her and then go to Saboady, or the Kuja Pirates (perhaps with Margaret) will set sail and head to Impel Down in their own way – arriving late -- arriving just in time to pick them up. Or something. IDK there are still possibilities. Not that it makes a huge difference either way. Anyways, moving on.

Two, I would think this gives Hancock less leeway because she cannot just leave her nation when this is all done. If anything, she will either need to maintain her status for their safety or be there to help protect when/if the WG takes issue. I think it is more likely she keeps her position and their nation remains safe myself.

Edit: After reading the chapter, I change my mind. Margaret really came across as the supporting character in this chapter. Especially the way they said their goodbyes. On the other hand, Hancock said she was leaving the nation to the sisters!! This might actually give her an opening to return "someday". Blast! However! Momonga acknowledged her snake as a "somebody" that would be traveling on the ship!! So maybe that's a mark against her….......? lol.

They are not going back to Amazon Lily anytime soon. Luffy had a feast there if you recall and there is no reason to return there like there was for Water Seven, a new ship. It will be to SA for Sunny then on to fishman island, unless something else happens.

If the story wasn't getting interesting again I'd be more pissed the crew is not complete or near complete yet.

I'll hold out for Marge and still oppose Hancock joining but at this point I wouldn't mind two new characters showing up(female and male) showing up at the end of this arc(most likely saga lol).

To us it yes but not in the story potentially. The way things are going in the story a few days(3 or 4) will pass till Luffy reaches ID. During that time we'll either go backwards(a few days back) to see where the other SHs are at and there stories or stay in present time and watch badass fights of the war starting in different places or more suspenseful dialog and info.

In OP time this arc will probably on last a week. At the conclusion, depending on who's alive and who is with Luffy, he could decide to go back to AL(whether it's a situation that he's not with his crew or with some or with all) and then head back to SA.

New Wind Power Up Nami + some stolen sea stone coating onto the Sunny = get back to Amazon Lily easy enough.

And unless Hancock is horribly disfigured in the coming war, I doubt she'd join. Having everyone the SHs meet in the future swooning over her would get super old super fast.

Also if Boa Hancock suddenley dosen't join, she dosen't have a ship. Luffy would most likely take her back if asked.
