I have mixed feelings about them but they seem very fitting as a replacement for the warlords, and I very much like that the warlord system was disbanded!

I don't think Luffy needs multiple rounds with Borsalino this arc because this would be the 3rd arc he comes across him, and the previous two times didn't go so well for Luffy to say the least. So for those of you who insist Luffy has to lose beforehand, that should do it.

Yeah, i like how they handled it for the most part... Only real nitpick for me is that they had Luffy blow into his thumb still. I didn't get the impression he had to do that in gear 5, and it would have been much cooler to just see Luffy's arm become gigantic at will!

@Dragon-D-Luffy Why not suggest the manga? It shouldn't be as time consuming and as hard to get through... I say that as someone who has read the manga in its entirety but will probably never watch the anime in full... I tried. I just couldn't. Not after reading the manga.

Actually, i just remembered that i actually tried watching the anime first and it simply didn't hook me even after a few episodes. Then i tried the manga and it got me in chapter 1...

I'll be honest. I did think Yamato was going to join but their was reasons to doubt it.

All things considered, I'm glad she's not joining but Oda is a troll for constantly pushing that idea only to back out in the end.

@electricmastro The story is making callbacks to Sabaody but Luffy getting payback on Borsalino is more for what happened in Marineford if you ask me... Borsalino was Luffy's biggest bully there right until Sakazuki gave him the final blow.

What would be the point of the Blackbeard Pirates taking Borsalino's fruit power though?

I really don't care for Kuma's flashback but i know it's coming. Hopefully soon. I just want to get it over with.

Yesterday's anime episode reminded me what a shame haki is... If it wasn't for haki needing to be at the forefront, Kaido's defeat could have actually been cool and unique! Like imagine Luffy had actually used the power of the sun or something like that to defeat Kaido... But no. Haki had to take the forefront.

Anyways, all of that to say, i see a lot of potential for gear 5's interaction with light... I hope haki stays out of it.

Why not? They got through Arlong Park with 8 episodes. Another 8 Episodes could certainly reach Arabasta.

I wasn't a big fan of season 1... 6/10 for me. I loved the early parts of the grand line when i read it though, so i hope it gets better. It should. For some reason i feel it should be easier for the live action to adapt the early parts of the grandline... Maybe i'm confusing difficulty with entertaining... It was just really fun for me reading the early parts of the grand line.

@shadyagent Well, at the very least we should likely see Luffy and Vivi reuniting soon now that she knows about his whereabouts... I suppose Sabo will also soon have an idea and he will deliver Cobra's message to Luffy and Vivi... It's just hard for me to see Vivi deciding to go with Sabo instead of sticking with Luffy.

Err, the elders have clearly been established to be no pushovers recently. Still, they are old... That probably means they are past their best like every other old legend in One Piece.
