@Ubiq:
He also stopped when Crane asked him to; the difference is that Bear chimed in with agreement while he didn't the first time.
Um, no he didnt'? The officers are still under his power when Tsuru asks him to stop.
Again, he didn't move until Bear did so.
Sorry but, what the hell does the fact he moves along with Kuma has to with anything? We see DoFla controlling Marine officers; Tsuru asks him to stop, the officers are still controlled; Sengoku makes his entrance, and to this point we never see DoFla controlling the officers again.
It shows a clear correlation between Sengoku's entrance and DoFla stopping his childish play. You're completely ignoring this, instead making up a link between Kuma moving and DoFla obeying the Marine's orders, while there's absolutely nothing implying so. Oh yes, DoFla giggles when Sengoku enters the room. What does it prove exactly?
And, yes, the fact that Donquixote doesn't show respect is the entire point. He's not afraid of these people to the extent that he was willing to make a Marine kill/seriously injure another one in front of witnesses simply because he was bored.
But he stopped when Sengoku asked him too, and this is all that matters. Which, clearly enough, shows that no matter how much of a brave face he's putting, he knows he'd better not piss off the Gensui too much.
I didn't say that they would; just that the Buster Call task force is an upper limit on how much military power the Navy could direct against a single target. They could always build a larger fleet and add more flag officers, but the fact remains that the forces used in a Buster Call are the most formidable that the Navy has ever fielded as a single unit.
The most military power the Marine could direct against a single target has a name; either Aokiji, Akainu, or Kizaru. They're the Marine's most powerful weapons and are probably the ones who'd be used to take down a Shichibukai.
Aokiji thanking Luffy for beating him? That doesn't suggest that Aokiji was on his way to beat Crocodile, but that Aokiji appreciated the fact that he didn't have to fight Crocodile. That would imply that he wasn't sure that he could beat Crocodile in a fight.
That would imply Aokiji is a lazy bastard who's glad someone did the job for him.
I don't know what series you've been reading, but it surely isn't One Piece.
Again, they're as strong as anything the World Government might conceivably throw at them: they're not necessarily stronger than the whole Navy combined, but it would be almost impossible for the whole Navy to come at them at once. If they did, the Shichibukai would die, but not without taking a lot of people with them.
The fact that you keep glossing over this point no matter how many times I repeat it is a sign of willful ignorance on your part.
But who said the Marine would come at them at once? I've always been talking about the fact the Marine could take down one Shichibukai with less troubles than everybody here is saying.
I'm ignoring this point simply because I never said the 7 Shichibukais wouldn't be taken down alltogether at a great loss for the WG. The only thing I've done during this thread is trying to calm down some people who apparently thought that even if the Marine has the power to send one Admiral and a dozen of Vice Admirals to take care of one powerful pirate, said pirate would probably take down all the VAs with him and would seriously injure the Admiral before dying, resulting in a Pyrrhic victory. I don't believe that at all.
Again, 7 elite guys can't be as powerful as 4 equally elite soldiers and dozens of other powerful characters, even for Shonen logics.
