This makes me wonder… if there's a Faust here, there's most likely a Faust somewhere in Earthland, too. Since we know Fiore is run by the Magic Council, either the Earth-Land Faust is the ruler of another kingdom or doing something else entirely.

Also, I don't he's necessarily insane, just power hungry; given the opportunity, I can see a lot of villains wanting to hoard great power and keep it all to themselves.

If there exist a Faust in Earthland: If he does, there is a possible that he's the reverse. And the Kingdom squad have a chance of existing in Earthland too.

Again, it's good. It has lots of moments that like to drag though. If you have the patience to read all 300 chapters without a decent conclusion, go for it.

I cosplay Horohoro from it, so it's at least cosplay worthy, lol

! so if i get this right by looking at the Raw did Gerard somehow save Lucy? or was it something different like being a Stellar Spirit Mage made her not be captured. otherwise no comment really on chapter. hard to make decisions this early in the arc to even tell whats going on and if will like it

Since the name was on the cafe sign or whatever I thought Bob was going to show up. But he didn't. Need translation to figure out what's actually going on because all I see otherwise are a bunch of knights getting worfed, something that needs an explanation, and awkwardness in the future.

Are you sure that it is not another Summoner who has gemmini and is copying Lucy? or that Mistgun is using his illusion magic to do all of this? or is the dragon slayer of stellar magic who gets stronger by eating stelar mages? or that she is mr. 2?

An interesting set up from last chapter and it's already looking bad. This chapter was a mess really. From how rushed it was to how quickly Lucy was reintroduced to the story and shoe-horned to be important to how beating a bunch of fodder automatically makes the gang the hope of the world.

I am seriously not liking the way things are going. There's no proper buildup slowly displaying the power of the enemy and it's extent, no proper display of the protagonist's power as he tears shit up unexpectedly turning the rules upside down and showing his clear threat to the enemy, no direction to really speak of. It's just "Random fodder attack, look there's Lucy out of no where!!!, now let's hurry and save the world somehow!!!" It's like Mashima is able to introduce a bunch of interesting concepts but is incapable of stringing them together and giving a decent story.

And I'm speaking out of experience where in One Piece, this set-up happens all the time with calm collected villains having a perfect plan and Luffy and the gang coming out of nowhere and being the unexpected monkey wrench in the works. From Arabasta to Skypiea to especially Enies Lobby (as it most closely resembles the current FT situation with a collected army of authoritative figures and a rescue situation). Not to speak of the other manga where I've seen this sort of plot handled appropriately.

Just a general disappointment…

It's not just that it's rushed, it's that it doesn't seem to have any general sense of direction.

This chapter was basically a stall to re-introduce Lucy. And being the summoner-fan that I am (blame Final Fantasy Tactics A2), I'm glad to see a situation where Lucy will be very useful.

I'm guessing the reason she can use her magic in Edras is because her magic is used through "items", in this case her keys. That said, I'm glad Mashima managed to world-build enough by giving Edras its own rules regarding magic. Of course the flipside is that it makes things rather aggravating since this is a series that thrives on its magic battles, and now our resident ass-kicker can't use his powers.

Here's a thought, though: If they can manage to get Kana out of that lacryma, maybe she can use magic too, since she uses cards.

your sig made my day and yes this arc is kinda rushed but I expected that. Sorry I don't read FT for space wasting fanservices, I read it for violence! pain! and destruction! so either mistgun or some other ass kicking non fanserving character shows up, if not I'm not feeling the direction mashima is taking.

lol not too long ago I read about 20 volumes of berserk and I'm currently reading through volumes of Historys Strongest Disciple Kenichi(lots of destruction)! at this moment and of course I read gantz.

Mystogan's starting to rub me the wrong way. You'd think he'd be more proactive about trying to stop Anima and save his buds. So much for the message of camraderie that the series shoves down our throat, huh?

Already went over how rushed this chapter felt, and how crappy the scanlation was, but I'm kinda looking forward to the interaction of the two Lucys. Two people, with opposite personalities yet still the same person at their cores. Things could get pretty funny/awkward rather quickly.
