There's only two series I buy now: FMA, so I have the volumes and don't have to keep scrolling through the online pages, and Gensomaden Saiyuki: Reload, mostly because you can't find it online.
I called it wrong, so long ago. I guess this needs to be changed.

Well, sort of. It's a modern spin on the tale, and instead of Hakkai being a Pig, he's a Youkai (Demon) that was forcefully changed from a human; Sha Gojyo isn't a Water Sprite but a Half-Demon, Half-Human created when his father had an affair with a human woman (Which resulted in him being abused by his step-mother), and Son Goku really isn't a monkey, just a special type of demon created by the gods (Though he still has his Nyoi-Bo and certainly acts like a monkey).
It's a pretty good series, I'd recommend it.

The only problem with del rey I have is there name translations like: Mistogan, jaazeel, Laxus they make me cringe.

Well, in their defense the FT names can translate a number of ways… but I see what you're saying. I only bought volume 1 from them, and seeing japanese terms left in was a nice touch I thought.

The first series is just called Saiyuki. It's 9 volumes. Reload picks up after the huge revelation in Volume 9 about a certain character who until then was a minor one.
And I might get the fairy tail volumes… I need to reread the first few arcs, i kinda skipped ahead to the Garuna Island Arc.

those're the terms they're FORCED to use. del-rey is a company that seems to be a HUGE stickler for fidelity considering they include pages of linear notes explaining ANYTHING that gets changed and japanese in-jokes that were left in. also, unlike viz, the writing is actually…good. who cares if the naruto ninja's all have their damn names if the dialogue reads like shit? -
I like viz's translations. There none jump stuff is good from what I can recall.

If he pays for his online manga viewing. Only assuming that he reads manga than i'll stop with the crunchyroll sucks routine but if he's not paying some site to read manga than he's a hypocrite.
Crunchyroll is legit, now, in case you missed the notice. Not only that, but it's a darned-good deal. >10$ per month for access to all the anime on their site. I don't see why you'd mock someone for getting the most out of their dollar. We're quite fortunate to be getting a legal stream an hour after broadcast, right from the start of the show's run.

It may be clear that Mashima's grasp of the English language isn't quite subperb, but these are the official romanizations, chosen by the author. Again, we're pretty fortunate to have them. It's a bit of a shame the scanlators don't use them.

Nice chapter, I admit that Fairy tail has been letdown after guild war against Phantom but this was pretty sweet chapter.
Gerard has his memorys back and is nasty again what is good, I really did not see point having goodie-Gerard around.
Zero is pretty intresting, I wonder what will happen next. I hope that tension stays up atleast few more chapters.

So um, any indication as to why Mr "I will destroy anything that has physical form!!" Didn't destroy the heroes physical form? I mean, I know it's a standard shonen cliche that the beat up heroes get up for another round, but it just seems strange that Zero directly adresses this problem, and says he'll solve it by destroying them completely….and then does the excact opposite.
I mean, then why havig him say that in the first place if he's just contradic it seconds later? -

I'm aware that this is a standard shonen rife with cliche, aimed at young people and all that.
It's just tremendously contradictory and stupid to have the villain go: "see those bodies there? I'm gonna disentegrate them. Because that's the kinda villain I am, my whole defining trait really". And in the next scene we see….that he didn't disentegrate them. We don't getan explanation such as "their durability was too high for me to destroy them!" or "I changed my mind!" or "They switched themselves with dummies/illusions/whatever and escaped harm while letting me think I did what I was just saying I was going to do!"It's like if Zero spent time stressing very specifically that he'd, I dunno, paint a great big crude drawing on all of the heroes faces. But when they turn up, they don't have anything at all.

I'm looking forward to Erza's anime debut next week,i just hope they don't overdo the strict and scaryish part of her personality liked they were in the forshadowing. And the first real arc starts so hopefully the fight animations will match that, the fights up to now have been kinda too light hearted and stuff

Looks like the scanlation by this new group is pretty good. In all honesty, I was kinda getting sick and tired of IEatSoul's work. Although, they are better than INP. shudder

Episode 4
- Everlue arc finishes up in the first half, and all is well. Still felt rushed.
- The, "Dear Kaby" scene felt a whole lot less magical, for some reason.
- The highlight of the episode was the new material on the second half. Nice little camping scene, and Gray was not unwelcome at all, though I'm surprised they held off on showing his ice magic.
- LOL at the Crystal Ball guy's prediction.
- Kageyama made a brief cameo. Quite frankly, I don't see why. Yeah, it's not like he was ever reluctant to kill his own guild-mates, but that just seems so… out of the way. How did he know these guys would blab about Lullaby?
- Erza next episode. I have to say, I really liked the brief shot of Erigor's character design. He looked older, and more grim.
Extra Chapter
- Kana. Yes.
- The art was really good for some reason. Way above average; in fact, the regular chapter seemed really pretty as well.
- Very cute, and very funny.
Overall, a nice little bonus.
Chapter 158
- Everyone is all good and jolly, they all pair up to take #'s 0-6. I really liked this idea last chapter, but the lack of enemies guarding five of the weak points makes me think this was just an excuse to split Natsu up from the rest of the group.
- If that's the case, neither Erza, Lucy, Gray nor anyone else had better show up at that crystal.
- I like Erza's faith in Natsu, but it honestly sounds like it would be a better plan to gang up on Zero, take him down, and then split up and hit the points afterward.
- Then again, the Cat Shelter morons won't evacuate when a magical cannon is pointed directly at them.
- Natsu's nose can pinpoint a person's location? I don't doubt he could track Zero from his current location, but figuring out where he was from afar, and matching it up with the map? Hmmm… I'll overlook this.
- Brain is still spiffy, and his attacks are distinctly DBZ-esque (SPECIAL BEAM CANOOOOON!)
- Gerard Gerard's Natsu's name and Gerards some Gerard.
- Nice choreography on the fight. Really enjoyed that.
- Gerard shows up at the end, and apparently remembers something, sparked by hearing Natsu's name. He shoots Natsu down, but don't get your hopes up just yet.
- If Gerard is bitter about losing to Natsu, it's either Gerard vs. Natsu rematch, or Zero and Gerard vs. Natsu. Natsu was already outmatched against Zero. Gerard would be over kill.
- I'll LOL like a little girl if Gerard toasts Zero, and becomes the final boss. Not only would it be a reused final enemy; It's Gerard, It's an arc where Gerard hasn't done anything antagonistic to denote being the final climactic villain, and that would make three "Final Boss" characters to job, just so Gerard could take over.
- More likely, Gerard is just rendering Natsu unable to interfere, as he feels guilty and needs to redeem himself by defeating Zero.
- Though in this case, he'd be screwing over the entire, "Stop Nirvana" plan by abandoning his post, and injuring Natsu enough so that he's unable to go destroy number six in his place. Lame plan, Gerard.
- If Gerard is bitter about losing to Natsu, it's either Gerard vs. Natsu rematch, or Zero and Gerard vs. Natsu. Natsu was already outmatched against Zero. Gerard would be over kill.
- In spite of it all, when Gerard showed up at the end, firing that shot, I said, "Oh shit. That guy is cool."

I would love to see Gerald and Zero vs. Natsu. It's one sided, Natsu would stand little chance against either of them alone, and no one (hopefully) is coming to back him up. Yay for impossible situations.

This chapter was rather neat. The choreography as cosair king said was really good in this chapter. Gerard showing up to take out natsu makes me believe that either he's gonna try to take out zero himself or he's allied with zero. Now natsu could have enough power to take on both zero and gerard. How? you may ask well let's see nirvana is powered by lachryma (was that it?) and if i'm not correct that was the same stuff he ate last time in order to defeat gerard. So we may get SSJ2 natsu where we see him pull off a goku on both gerard and zero since mashima is such a dragonball fan..I wouldn't be surprised.
Once again mashima's ramblings are awesome. Poor bastard can't play his videogames lol
the extra chapter was cute.
EDIT: just watched episode 4 it was rather neat. The animation is definitely getting better and better my only peeve is that whenever natsu does an attack there not showing it. It's like: Attack than explosion. I want to see a fist to the face oh and that dear kaby part got me teary eyed funny though in the manga I got a more : OK that's sad but I'm not tearing up here.
