those are awesome, awesome sketches. arlong is so THE PIMP. xD
Those are awesome. Rock Steady = <3. You captured Arlong's likness quite well.
It's been a long time since I saw Rocksteady; the face is very expressive.
Arlong's pimp hat needs a feather. And we need Chuu drawn as a crack-whore in the background, he's already got the scrawny body for it.
Aside: If you didn't eat eans, you wouldn't art so much. :3
I love that TMNT thing! My fav series as a kid.
beautiful work! hope to see more! X3
omg i haven't seen any good TMNT fanart in a long time! nice!
That Lucci is fab! I love the character in his face.
That Arlong in the pimpin suit reminds me of his dub voice SO hard ^__^
Yay, Lucci!
Crackwhore Chuu haha….
yes, i can't wait to see the crackwhore chuu… and my god that lucci is awesome
Cosmic, are you proud? XD
Yes, I am! glomps sexy Usopp
i am not usually impressed with fanart (i have very particular and high standards) but R.F. Tiger, you have some good stuff. I like your "quick-sketch" of lucci. I wonder what it would be if it was a complete drawing. I tip my hat to you sir.
That would be ma'am
excuse me. I tip my hat to you ma'am
Sir, ma'am, what does it matter (androgyny!)? Thanks for the compliments, in any case. :3
First part of a commission I'm working on. http://www.deviantart.com/deviation/30770543/
The latest entries are superb! Lucci's pose is awesome, Ghetto-Sopp never fails and the coloring for the gryphon kicks butt.

Wow, that kicks butt. A wolf-eagle anthropamorphic dude.
Guess I'll be like Marcie and Peppermint Patty. Actually I don't like being called ma'am…it makes me feel old.
You captured Arlong's smile so well. The smile and outfit makes him look like The Joker from Batman. I also like how you drew Lucci with a very gruff facial expression (it looks a little like Redman when he sneers). By the way, are you a fan of the Wu-Tang Clan? Whenever I here the song "Bring The Pain", I think of Sanji rapping Methoid Man's lines. If you ever get some spare time and you feel like it, I would love to see how you would draw Crocadile or Sanji (both have a sort of gangster style to them and you seem to bring that style out in your art).
Don't take this the wrong way, cuz I totally mean it as a compliment, but the Lucci-leopard reminds me a LOT of Brock Sampson of Venture Bros. fame. It's awesome, though.
OwnerZeff–> I was a Wu Tang fan growing up, but I pretty much enjoy any gangsta rap group from the mid/late 90s (Bone Thugs 'n' Harmony is my absolute favorite).
The rest --> Thanks!
More doodlage.
HAHA Dreaded Hachi has Dreadlocks!
Christy finds that amusing.
Yay for wonderful pictures! =)
Yeah, go for it! Once you get a portfolio together, where do you go from there?
ooh damn, i shoulda looked here first before your DA page… ignore my dumb question on that comic page, and good luck to you on getting a job with Dark Horse! <3
@R.F.:
Well, seeing as I hate my current job as much as I do, I've resolved to stop effing around and get some real portfolio pieces together.
Here is the final pencil of the latest page of my webcomic.
This is the colored version. Gearing up to submit five or six of these to Dark Horse, for starters.
falls to knees w…wow.....my dream is to become a comic author...bows and starts to cry
Cosmic–> Once the pencils for the next five or six pages are done, the next step is to just make photocopies (or in this case, print-outs) and send those along to DH. I'm starting with them because the other bug guys don't accept unsolicited art submissions.
pirateneko--> Consider it ignored, and thanks. XD

"I want to be a comic artist when I grow up." But no one ever says…
Kids, stay away from drugs.
Chopper's taking triple and OD'ed XDDDD
Man, I knew that with the recent anthro-goodness Chopper's been giving us, you're gonna do something. Nice one!
Haha, monster Chopper rocks.
"your dog scares me!"
heh, awesome Chopper.
Bogged down with commissions at the moment. First of three (or four) nearest completion.

I'd love to have that pet at home…
I'd imagine you'd have a hard time cleaning up after him. XD
I want to be a comic arrrrrtiiiiiiiiiiist…...... sigh
And this, because I'm steadily growing tired of being paid to draw anthros (but not tired of being paid X3). Hooray for humans!
oooh very very nice work! i really love that third panel, great action sequence
those sketches are awesome… a medieval character with earrings <3
Urgh… I don't even know what day it is anymore...
that is some amazing work you did! i love your distinctive style in that latest one XD
That anthro stuff is good! Great "human" proportions on them as well. I can see you getting some pencilling work done in real comics, no problem.
the coloring is servicable, but it from what I've seen it doesn't go beyond "fanart" level and into "pro" level (that never stopped the Luna brothers tho ^__^ )

you really think so. I think her art is very good. My friend has been studying Illustration for 4 years. She is a great artist, and I love her dearly, but RFT is going to get a comic published before she is.
WOW. that's what I have to say. It looks like you've been studying the human figure for quite a while, as you have an in depth understanding of muscle and bone structure, and how to apply it to other creatures as well. It is hard to attach an animal head to a human body, as they don't always match up.
As for your comic panels; they are put together very well. It brings me right into the story. It's not just about what you draw in a panel, it's HOW you draw it in there. I think a lot of comic artist want to be's don't understand that, but you do.
as for your coloring. It's great. conekiller thinks you could improve, but I think if someone asked you to step away from your comic art (which needs simpler coloring so it's easier to read/visualize what's going on "3 second rule") and we asked you to do a realistic, detailed coloring of something, there will be a great air of realism to it. In fact, I'd be interested to see that.

Thanks. :3 It took a few years and a book or two for me to realize that. No one wants an entire book of headshots, or else I'd end up with a disaster like the latest Naruto chapter. XD
The only problem with realistic rendering (for me) is that it gets really old really fast. I was on a digital painting kick a while back, as reflected here and here. After the second painting, I quickly figured out that it wasn't the sort of thing I wanted to do. I lack the patience for it; it's just like traditional painting, only without the mess and smell.
I can see what Conekiller meant, though. I think the main impediment is time constraints/my own laziness. XD I'll get better at it, I promise (I hope the Luna Brothers do, too X3).

See, that's why I suck… 80% of my already-lazy practice is headshots T_T. (I need to practice anatomy more)
That is some very fab art though. As already mentioned, your anatomy is great and the characters are expressive; two hard things to nail. I agree on the colouing as well though. It's a little messy and flat when compared to your lovely lineart work.
I know what you mean about the realistic colouring though XD. I think that's why I'm having fun experimenting with some cell-shading and simpler styles.
Good luck with your comic~
The first 27 eps of Chip and Dale Rescue Rangers is on dvd. JOY
I used to love that show. ^o^ I assume Duckt Tales is out on DVD now too?
As a matter of fact, Duck Tales is out, too, but it seems that the episodes were just randomly thrown together instead of going in order. The set starts halfway through the first season. :\
Additionally, if someone finds my fiery Gyojin passion lying around someplace, please return it.
That's a terrible thing to lose!
That sucks that the DT episodes aren't in order. Considering that so many kids loved that show with a passion, and it's Disney, you'd think it would get better treatment.
I guess this would technically be here, since I took the time to make this… Second Life, heard of it? Well, it's basically a virtual world where residents (your avatar) make a living for themselves. That said, I'm enjoying a life as an Arlong lookalike and aspire to build a 3D Arlong Park in SC world (you can do that sort of thing, you know).
