Sauro is frozen - we've seen that that doesn't necessarily mean dead and we are talking about One Piece so he may still be alive somewhere. I hope he is. I hate to see these amazing characters emerge in flashbacks and then die.

I had Naruto's sadness and sorrow playing while i flipped through the pages of this one…...and damn
This has to be the saddest chapter ever, not to mention the best flashback Oda has written for any of his character's yet.
Definately worth delaying the ass kicking that is going to follow.

The way Sauro died was.....just incredible. Almost made me hate Aokiji...but that really was beautifull.
Guess even being a Vice-Admiral can't have you fight on the same level as a Logia user.
I was kinda hoping to see a cool fight between them, but Sauro was just too underpowered/hurt/worried about Robin for that to happen.
Sauro is the man anyway, right up there with Hilruk as 2 of the best flashback characters in OP.

No i really really wish this flashback was being said out loud to the rest of the crew.
CP9 watch out, the mugiwaras are coming....and hell is coming with them XD

Also this chapter really got me thinking.So far the side characters have had horrible pasts, Robin's atguably being the worst...but we know little to nothing of Luffy's history other than what was shown obviously.
Maybe somewhere towards the end of OP, Oda (aka God) will reveal his story, and maybe even something to do with G.Roger.
And if that happens i can bet my good looks that its gonna be a whole lot worse than Robin's past.

Voodzik, you should really learn to understand that people sometimes can´t read every single post and obviously say some thing that has been mentioned before already. Especially in a talkback thread where the first five pages are mostly a direct response to the chapter instead of a response to a post.

It´s the third time already that you get fired up for being overseen. Don´t let that get the worst out of you. It´s not the end of the world.

As far as the chapter is concerned, SUPERB. Thanks for posting it Battle Franky. =) All that´s missing now is a translation.

The next chapter will probably begin with the ending pages of the flashback since it would seem chopped appart if it would start directly with Enies Lobby again. The needs to be a switching scene first.

Next chapter will determine which flashback was longer. The Jaya or the Robin one. Jaya has a total of 122 pages (6 full chapters, 1 half chapter and one with a couple of pages.) Robin´s has so far 114 pages (6 full chapters and 1 half).

And as far as Oda´s brilliance is concerned. Well he never said that Robin escaped from Aokiji against his will. Stephen´s script on chapter 320 has Kiji say: "… But if there was a motivation...It would be that I let her get away from me, once before…Years ago."

Oda just did it again.

wow… I never knew that. actually I read manga by null and the episode from Gerusama and they didn't mentioned that he let her go instead they said she got away... I guess. and it makes sense too as Aokiji kept his eyes on her. when he is introduced he says to Strawhats that he is not here to fight he just wants to confirm the location of Robin as with which crew she is. thanks Ivotas for clearing up that:laugh: as for the next chapter I think there will be one last chapter for the flashback next week showing how robin got in the underworld and started working with pirates but lets see what happens

So Spandain sees Robin near the evacuee ship and tells Sakazuki, which leads to the latter having the ship destroyed to make sure that no archaeologist was on board. Is that what happens basically? If she hadn't went there, they wouldn't have died?

That poor kid; no wonder she doesn't want anybody else to die.

Everything has just went completely to hell for her in only a few days. That poor, poor kid. Dragon needs to hurry up and bring these bastards down already.

Let's see… it looks like there are still four or five battleships left roaming around at the end, which is probably every ship without a Vice Admiral. So did they blame the ship Sakazuki had destroyed on her on top of the ships that Sauro sank? It'd be just like those bastards to do something like that.

On another note, the fact that the future Akainu is entirely capable of having killing innocent women, children, elderly men, and even Marines on the off chance one of them might be an archaeologist is a damn good sign that they only put with assholes like Donquixote because they have to.
