That was hella fun haha. We should play that or some Gears of War :D
What are you Playing?
-
-
Played Rock Band this weekend at my cousin's house. I thought I'd hate it since I'm not really into Rock, but the gameplay is fun, and some of the songs on the game are quite awesome.
And when not playing that, either COD4, GGXX, or KOFXI.
-
Managed to get myself sucked back into Final Fantasy XI for the umpteenth time.
When will I ever learn.
-
What server are you on?
-
Been on Asura off and on for the past few years.
-
Go ahead and laugh, but I've been playing Pokemon Diamond. I really like it!
I've also been playing Smash Bros. Melee to prepare myself for online Brawl battles. Mainly so I can stay good with Yoshi, who is my favorite character to use.
-
Still playing FFVIII, and the CARD QUEEN quest is one of the worst sidequests I've ever had to do.
I got Mario Galaxy and Neo Geo Battle Coliseum today, so I'll be playing those soon.
Been on Asura off and on for the past few years.
Ah.
I'm on Remora. Named after an obscure piranha monster.
Lately I've been levelling PLD. I'm only about 7 levels into it, and it's a pretty fun class so far.
-
So recently I've been buying used games pretty cheap at this one store. One of which being The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Been playing it a little here and there, and got to Ganon's Tower today. Gets kinda annoying for open up treasure chests trying to find a key only to get some Rupees/arrows/bombs while you already have the maximum amount.
Now Dragon Warrior for the NES, that definately gives me some appreciation for modern RPGs (not saying it's a bad game). Walking on a tile that looks like stairs, opening the command menu, and selecting the "Stairs" command.
And another game I feel like mentioning is Duke Nukem 64 (got interested in it after talking about it with one of my friends, along with seeing the teaser for Forever). Those pigs just keep killing me on the Death Row level.
-
Iv'e been playing Super Mario Galaxy and the orange box since christmas. Fun times.
-
I've been playing…
Sonic Rush Adventure (Awesome, even better than the first.)
Mega Man Star Force: Leo (Basically Mega Man Battle Network 7, but good.)
Planet Puzzle League (Great)
The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass (I was a little skeptical at first, and the touch screen controls took getting used to, but it's awesome so far.) -
@Cap'n:

On one of my old characters (a Galka named Nurlock), the only class I ever really played decently far in was PLD, which I had gotten to 69 or 70. I really, really enjoyed tanking in the game. But due to my own stupidity, I deleted him to make a new character to play with someone else, which ended up not going anywhere, so now that I've come back again I'm starting over from scratch.
And made a Hume, because god damn was I sick of Galkas having no MP. As a level 18 Hume BLM I already have more than my PLD did.
-
Super Mario Galaxy
Metroid Prime 3
Guitar Hero 3 (Fucking GH)
Ouendan 2
Etrian Odyssey -

I'm a Galka myself.
My highest job level is MNK at 30, and that'll most likely be my main. I'm wary about the Galkas' lack of MP and MND, but oh well. I'll probably only get PLD up to 20 or 30 or so, and then switch back to MNK; maybe level WAR up too, since that's apparently the only "good" sub for MNK.
God, I hate how you need a party to do anything in this game. It's so tedious to find them, and my friends and I have similar tastes in classes so it's not like we can team up together.
-
King of Fighters XI
Neo Geo Battle Coliseum
Ratchet and Clank:Size Matters
Phoenix Wright 1
Capcom vs SNK 2
Digimon World Dusk -
Dragon Quest Monsters: Joker.
As I type this. -
Soldner-X.
Fucking crushers on level 2-2. You can't pass under them without getting hurt.
-
just popped in Zelda: 4 swords, that I got for Christmas, last night. ah, it so reminds me of the SNES days. I only played for an hour. We'll see how much more fun I can have with this. I'm a tad disapointed though, that I can only carry one extra weapon at a time. "ooh a fire rod! cool fire!…wait, no, I don't wanna give up my boomerang. give it back. whaa, no I want both damn it." T3T
-
Mother fucking Fire Emblem, Radiant Dawn.
I'm stuck on that chapter in part three where you get the Dawn Brigade back and have to fight all those Laguz with three times your highest person's stats. It sucked really bad, as soon as the Black Knight came in to save my ass, a bunch of Tigers came out of nowhere and raped Sothe.
-

That's why I couldn't get into that game.
I'm more of a solo player when it comes to leveling up, as I find that other people slow me down.
-
I'm currently playing FF6 in an emulator.
I dunno why I never got into Final Fantasy before. So far, I could say FF6 is like the best RPG for the SNES I've played.
-
I have to much shit I need to finish now:
-Orange Box
-Uncharted: Drake's Fortune
-Godhand
-Elder Scrolls: OblivionMostly playing Orange Box and Godhand though.
-
Playing the Bleach game on my friend's Wii <3
I like it so far! I so want to get it when/if I ever get a Wii -
I'm taking a break from Super Mario Galaxy so I can finish up Bioshock.
Gotta say, when the game first started off I didn't really think much of it, but after you get to around to the second level, and upgrade a bit, HOLY SHIT.
-
I'm gonna use a Phoenix Down on this thread.

GOD Bioshock is really good. I loved using Security Bullsey on the Big Daddies and watch them get slowly annihilated by security cameras when possible.
Anyways, I'm playing Blue Dragon right now. It's not the best RPG, but it's not too bad either.

AC:wild world-just fixing up my town
Tomorrow, Ill be playing Jak And Daxter:the precursor legacy-Never played this. -

Currently, I'm playing Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World and loving every second of it. The dialogue among Emil, Marta, and Tenebrae never ceases to amuse me, and I love JYB's voice.
-
I'm late to the Phoenix Wright games, got done with the first one yesterday, I'm currently on the 2nd game on the 2nd case. I'll probably play the third one and the spinoff sometime next week.
-
Cave story its an awesome freeware game
-
Currently split between Left 4 Dead, and Valkyria Chronicles. Both are incredibly more fun than I originally thought.
-
Re-playing Sonic Heroes…Fuck you, it's a good game. Brings back good memories. Getting kinda tired of it, though
I DESPERATELY NEED SONIC UNLEASHED :@@@
-
sonic heroes is okay…. it still makes me twitch though.
and I wish the tutorial covered EVERYTHING. Like wall jumping, I had to figure that out the hard way. That game makes me twitch.
and let's not forget Sonic team was just lazy, they didn't animate super Tails or Knuckles..... >_> just a gold sphere... are you fucking kidding me?
"I'll show you the true power of teamwork!"
but team chaotix was win.anywho, playing AC city folk. Many people are disappointed in the lack of added features which was just making everything less scheduled (you can visit Redd any time now etc.).
But it's still enjoyable. I just wish the Mii's could wear hats, and accessories. :(
I don't like having to use the wii mote to navigate menus. The d-pad worked just fine.

I want to play both of those games. I don't think I've played a Sonic game since the GC Sonic Adventure, which actually wasn't that bad. Shame too, because I've always been something of a Sonic fan.
-
Disgea for the psp. the voice actings terrible lol
-
I am currently playing
-Chrono Trigger for the DS (amazing game)
-Rouge Galaxy for the PS2 (meh, seen better, still good) -

I donno why I love it so much, maybe it's just nostalgic and I enjoy that. Team Chaotix is the shit, man, my favorite team. I always seem to enjoy the underrated characters more. The game was kinda lazy though.
The animation was also kinda kiddy compared to the previous games. Though, I can't think of the darkest Sonic game yet (Don't say 06, because that one is SHIT)

I never played the original, but the GC Sonic Adventure was amazing. I loved it and I so wish I could find it (I lost it ):) Way better than Heroes, or Adventure 2.
-
Saints Row 2
100000x better than GTA4 and Saints Row 1
and i just fucking configured xbox live to my computer with wireless internet without the adapter
-
Jak And Daxter-The precursor legacy

A friend of mine picked up Bleach Heat the Soul 5 for PSP in Hong Kong. Pretty fun.
-
I'm taking a break from Blue Dragon to play NCAA March Madness '07. Continuing my Texas Tech Dynasty mode. Undefeated, yeah!
-
Final Fantasy 4 DS and Far Cry 2. People say FF4 is memorable for the story and it's memorable alright for being shit. Gameplay is solid and I love the map that shows the areas you've explored already, but really people what so good bout the story??? The plot is cliche and the narrative is so stupid, like for example when you first fight Golbez you basically leave him inside the crystal room with the crystal while you like reminisce about old times with a fuckin' 8 year old. Like why would they just leave him there, christ.
Far Cry 2 is really good though! The worst thing about it is the very stupid AI but generally AI in SP games suck anyway, so I didn't mind that much and it was pretty funny how the AI would just repeatedly ram a tree. How is that not GOTY people??
I just realized this topic wasn't about reviewing games, haha.
-
Socom FTB2 online only and Final Fantasy Crisis Core.
-
@Protas
About ff4 DS.
Watch the "Edge's Rage" cutscene when you reach it, after that come back here again and say that wasn't epic. -

Watch the "Edge's Rage" cutscene when you reach it, after that come back here again and say that wasn't epic.I'm past that already, and it wasn't epic. Unless graaaahhh im angry im gonna proov u roooong!!1 is epic now. But Rubicante was cool though cos he actually made sense. He's a demon, of course he should be stronger than mere men! Only the laws of videogames hindered him and brought his downfall.
-
I finally buckled down and picked up Final Fantasy V again. I got to the end, and Neo Exdeath wiped the floor with me. White Hole is such a cheap move.
-
going back for FFIV,V,and VI advance until I get my next game rental.
FFIV-Zeromus
FFV-Exdeath castle 1 world 2(been stuck here for a year now since my jobs lvls are mixed)
FFVI-Team battles in the mountains after scenarios -
Super Ghouls N Ghosts- Cant get past lvl 1 :getlost:
-

Here's the deal. At the time of the FFIV's original creation on the SNES, the story was actually a really fresh concept. This is a time when Naruto didn't exist, so no one even fathomed how an extroverted ninja would act (albeit Edge is still a million times cooler than Naruto). This was made at least five-ten years before Final Fantasy VII, so the whole 'mind-controlling villain behind the scenes' cliche didn't exist, bishounen villains were unheard of…
So yeah. Just remember that, back when the game was still relatively new, the story was fantastic. People who say it now, including myself, are reliving our nostalgia. By today's standards, the story is cliche no matter how you spin it, but you need to compare it to other games of its time. Last I checked, it had a BIT of a better story than Super Mario World.
In any case, the games I am playing on-and-off now:
DS
Final Fantasy III DS - It's fun to play an older Final Fantasy that I had never played before. The story isn't all that thrilling as there's no real plot, but it's fun to play.Diddy Kong Racing DS - It's fun, it's customization is decent, it plays somewhat well, and it has online play. Also, there's a custom track creator, which is nice.
Yu-Gi-Oh! World Championship 2007 - Yeah, that's right. I play Yu-Gi-Oh. Don't get me wrong, however. I play casually and I only play with decks I construct myself and I only construct decks meant to be fun as opposed to just winning.
Wii
Animal Crossing: City Folk - It's everything I hoped for as a step-up from Wild World. But as was the problem with the past games, sometimes real-time play isn't such a good thing. But alas, at least I got most of what I wanted out of the upgrades for the game.Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess - It's an old game. I was close to 100% the game in the past, but my save data got corrupted and I had to start over. In any case, the game is still awesome.
One Piece: Unlimited Cruise Episode 1 - I don't need to tell you my opinions on this game other than the fact that I like it.
Super Smash Bros. Brawl - Almost every gamer with a Wii has this game. I'm no exception. I don't play it online unless asked and I rarely play in general. However, sometimes I get in the mood to play a little bit.
Dragon Ball Z: Budokai Tenkaichi 3 - The best Dragon Ball Z fighting game I have ever played and, when I say that, I am not referring to the online capabilities. It handles better than BT2, the features are much better than in BT2, more characters, some characters are more balanced while others are as cheap as ever. In the end, this is probably my third favorite fighter of all time, second and first being just above.
F-Zero X - I loved the game on the N64, so I was very happy to find it on the Virtual Console. I seriously cannot wait for an F-Zero Wii game.
PC: Sims 2 - Yes, I play it. I am trying to restrict myself from playing it, though, because it eats up my time faster and in larger quantities than Luffy at an All-You-Can-Eat Buffet.
Blade Runner - You cannot call yourself a true old-school gamer unless you're referring to tabletop or you've played at least one computer game developed before 1997. I, myself, have played four (Blade Runner, Magic: The Gathering, Oregon Trail, and Where in the World is Carmen Sandiego.). For those who don't know, this game is based on the movie of the same name starring Harrison Ford. In any case, it's a futuristic mystery game. You play Ray McCoy, a Blade Runner. A Blade Runner is a member of the police that specializes in tracking and killing Replicants, or 'Artificial Humans'. Such killing is referred to as 'retirement'. The reason these Replicants are hunted is because they are built solely for the purpose of hard labor on the moon. In any case, it's a great game, awesome storyline, and almost everything ties into the film, which is also quite spectacular.
Perfect World Online - An MMORPG developed somewhere in the Orient, I am guessing the Philippines. Anyway, the game isn't overly impressive as it's still in beta and general gameplay is basically a watered down version of World of Warcraft, but it has a few things going for it. First, its character creation system rivals that of Elder Scrolls: Oblivion and that is VERY rare, especially in free MMORPGs. Another nifty feature is the ability to fly. Now Humans and a race called the 'Untamed' cannot fly until they reach level 30. However, the race called the 'Winged Elves' can fly the instant they log into the game. In any case, the game has parts where it greatly surpasses most pay to play MMORPGs and others where it is severely lacking. I only ever use the game for character creation, but that's just me.
Anyway… yeah.
-
Wii -
Animal Crossing City Folk: Trying to get my "dream house" once that's done I'll see it every once in a while…
Tales Of Symphonia Dawn of the New World: Multiple playthroughs baby
Super Smash Brothers Brawl: When do I not play a game with my three favorite characters? (Mario/Kirby/Sonic)
DS -
My Japanese Coach: Learning Japanese dur... I've invested in so much time learning this language... It's not easy because I have major difficulty learning other languages. (Last one tried was Spanish...)
Kirby Super Star Ultra: Damn good old platforming from the most badass pink gum wad.
