@Crossword:
I fiddled around with the wifi features in Pokemon White for the first time ever. I fought a couple guys from Japan and one girl from Florida. Didn't do too badly considering that my team wasn't really built for competitive play, but man, some of those teams were crazy. There was one guy who had a team of Dragonite, Gallade, Charizard, Washer Rotom, Eelektross, and Tyrannitar. It's definitely inspired me to focus more on competitive team-building when White 2 comes out. It's pretty cool battling someone from the other side of the world, now.
The GTS is completely asinine, but I did leave a spare Metagross out there for a similarly-leveled Kingdra to see if anyone would bite.
Hahah! That is one of the joys about battling random trainers online. I like losing and seeing a variety of great teams.
There ARE hacked teams, but I'm not really bummed about it. What I care about is legitimately possible stats.
And.. I think the network detects Pokemon with impossible states and moves anyway.
I know alot of people battle single, but I think you should give a few double battles a try. Believe me. I find double battles alot more deeper than single, mianly because there are pokemon that do better in a team than solo. There's also tend to be unpredictably and strategies as well. Like for instance, I can defeat a whole team full of Ubers or Overused with a typical 1v1 moveset with Pokemon considerably "weaker" with a really cleaver moveset.
And… If you want. We can battle/spar sometime. I really suck at single battles(since my moves are built for partners), but I can manage.
