Keep trying My Player. You'll get better, trust me. My PPG average is 17, I already have 100 career points, 100 assists, triple-doubles, score 30 points in a game, 15 rebounds, etc. lots of milestones like those.
You'll get the hang of it and you'll get better, just keep playing it.

Finished Baby Jo, the PC Engine CD port…..and once again I have to ask why this was ported over to Japan. Sure, it's not as horrendous as Jim Power in Mutant Planet but.....
Well, Baby Jo is a game originating on the Commodore 64 and Amiga system's (due to a lack of info on it I'm not 100 % sure) that eventualy got ported both to DOS (I hear) and the PC Engine CD.
The game is a basic platformer, with a little iffy hit/colection detection. Also it's one of those where by default you can't defend yourself, meaning you have to colect your weapons and then stare in awe at the amount of enemies in your path, not matching your limited resources at all. In short, this basic flaw just makes you annoyed at running out of "ammo" when desperately in need, and makes you constantly get hit by enemies when you try to bypass them without killing them.
Did I mention the protagonist baby throws his rattles in a nice ol' arch position that is guaranteed to fly over the moving enemies (read: all except one) nearly every time.
But wait. The game adds even more annoyance to the player's plate by making them not only have to worry about being low on weapons , but also on time (milk) and having a dirty diper.
The latest of which is achieved by colecting items you get points for, like cake. So the game actualy penalises you for colecting said items, because each of the two levels of blue diaper dirtyness makes you slower and less agile…..which is a great thing to do, both to annoy players and gross them out at the same time. I mean realy, what other profesionaly developed game ever had your character wander around with their own shit wallowing in their pants ?
And if this isn't enough to annoy you, out of the four stages (reminder: CD game, very high price tag on CD and cd peripherals) is a maze. The second level is a teeth grindingly annoying trekk through caves where you have no idea where to go, given you have no indication at any point and just have to be lucky. And the bird friend of yours who popps up every now and then ?
The only thing he has to say when he asks you if you are lost in the maze is to "not forget about the stars". Or in other words small x marked objects burried amongst masses of dirt that are practicaly indistinguishable from the walls they're embeded in and which you actualy have to hit to make them dissapear. The path in this level is realy mind boggingly complex, seeing as the other three levels are prety straight forward left to right affairs. Also, no boss battles during the whole of the game.
In short, if you want a cute platformer about babies, stick to Bio Miracle Bokutte Upa on the Famicom. It has more levels, the graphics, while a little less shiny, are far superior even in their simplicity, and it has a far higher replay value.

Been Playing Monster Hunter Tri
A few old Pokemon games for the nostalgia factor,
and Mabinogi. I also hang around on Second Life a bit- if it counts.Unfortunately, my gaming experience is rather limited due to me only owning a Wii, a laptop, and a DS. (Also have an N64, but I only really play that when I'm hungry for nostalgia.)
-
Finished Download 2 yesterday and moved on to Forgotten Worlds.
I almost thought I wouldn't finish that, because the 4th level boss just wouldn't die. I spent the same amount of time on that one boss fight then on at least three whole stages.
I remember I couldn't finish Metamor Jupiter cause of that. I kept on shooting it for half an hour, longer then the guy in the LP vid I found (trying to see if there's something I'm missing) and nothing.
Thank god I managed to beat this on a continue though. Stil was a little afraid when the last boss showed no sings of depleting health after 10 straight minutes of hitting him.

Playing Mr. Goemon Ranked mode on Xbox Game room ..
hasnt really updated in months though -
Finaly finished Samurai Zombie Nation.
-
STILL Dragon Age. My god, I'm obsessed. Unlocked two endings, working on a second and third playthrough.
-
pokemon white
waiting for ocarina of time 3d and the witcher 2, to be released
-
Monster Tale. Fun little Castleroid, neat monster raising thingy, the lack of a back-dash is really screwing me up.

can anyone recommend any worthwhile rpg games for the ds that have come out within the last few years? preferably turnbased fighting, even tactics, tile advancing games like ff tactics or luminous arc.

I recently bought Final Fantasy: The Four Heroes of the Light, and it's fairly good. I've only played an hour so far, but it seems to be worth your money.

kingdom hearts 358/2 days@eerie Dragon Quest 9 is a good customizable rpg, Chrono Trigger for the ds is always good

Shin Megami Tensei Devil Survivor is a challenging, but good turn-based strategy RPG. Radiant Historia, which came out last month, is really good too.
-
Dragon Quest IV, V, and VI are all pretty solid on the DS. V is my favorite of those three.

I second Crossie and Lazzie & add Radiata Historia.

Super Street Fighter IV, and Resident Evil 5: Gold. I'm addicted to the Mercenaries. Laying down some hardcore Weskerism.
-
When on into the Wii shop and downloaded Super Castlevania IV and Donkey Kong Country like a boss!
Also, Clock Tower is released on the Virtual Console…BUT ONLY IN JAPAN!?! God dammit!
-
Playing Donkey Kong 64 on Project64 with a new wireless 360 controller receiver I got last Saturday.
On Fungi Forest. Barely started the level, and I know I'm not gonna like it too much. 112 Golden Bananas, both Nintendo and Rare coins (Which means at least 15 banana medals), and a shitload of other stuff.
-
Lego Harry Potter. I love the Lego. Not a fan of Harry Potter at all. But loving this one. Too bad it's really glitchy.
Radiant Historia: Still loving it. Wibbley Wobbley etc
-
Never owned it back in the day and correspondingly never finished it, so I got myself an N64 copy of Rayman 2 lately on ebay. Loving it. Third game wasn't in the same league, but it's still a shame they killed Rayman 4 off for the sake of minigame compilations, while devaluing the name of R2 by releasing awful ports once a year.

I just finished the second Layton game early this morning. Yeah, I know, I'm darn late…
God, those games are so addicting! I gotta get the thrid one right away. -
I'm halfway through the first Dead Space game and man, have I been missing out on this series. I'm a big fan of survival horror and when I saw this game discounted at my local Gamestop I thought, "Oh hey, looks good. I'll give it a go." And damn, I'm getting my $20 dollar's worth. This series really keeps you on edge. It's like an amalgamation of the intense combat and action of Resident Evil, with the dark, psychological tension of Silent Hill.
Definitely planning on picking up the second game after I finish with this. Excellent stuff.
-
Rented The Saboteur and have been enjoying it. It has the sandbox tediousness to it but the thing that has stood out is the backdrop, Nazi occupied France. The way they color the sections of the city, black and white for Nazi strong places and color for resistance heavy areas is a nice artistic touch that seems to fit well in the theme. Characters are likeable and humorous most of the time, playing out the stereotypes of the Irish,French and English without too much annoyance.
It's short but a good rental. -

God, those games are so addicting! I gotta get the thrid one right away.I just finished that game a few days ago, and now all I have to do is finish those last few puzzles in Layton's Challenge and then I'll be good to go for the 3rd game, which I already have.
I sure can't get enough of these games either!

Just got all the puzzles and the pearl thingy of world one in DK country returns. These time attacks are hard as hell though :s
anyhow, it's one awesome and funny game. Also playing M&L Bowser's inside story. I have the challenge medal and the equipement that doubles every item's effectiveness and also lots of defense & hp on Mario, all so he can keep Luigi alive, who deals the damage. I can't seem to beat that annoying bob-omb minigame with Bowser, but when I finally do, I'm going straight to the final boss. Besides using the challenge medal wich makes all enemies 1.5 times stronger I also underleveled to make the game more challenging. However, judging by the last two games who'se final bosses had so much hp that they took ages to beat, this one will take hours thanks to me being such a masochist. I'll probably die in 2 hits after having fought for 3 hours. Wish me luck

Aw man, I remember the final boss in Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, and that took me forever to beat (hey, I was 12 at the time, ok?). Still, I loved the game to death, and it makes me wonder why I haven't given the recent games a chance.
-
Oh you really should, I can definitely recomend both of them.
Anyway, I beat the game now, the final boss was too easy even with my self imposed handicaps. Once you figure out the attacks you can evade them all and will barely get hit again. The last two games' final bosses were more of a challenge (though I was a kid back then, also 12 at superstar saga). They should make attacks more difficult to dodge if they ever make a next game. If people find it too hard they can always get some levels, that's what's so great about RPGs, you can always decide how difficult it gets. It's still a great game though and the ending was funny.
I'd say the first one was the best in the series and this one the second best. Partners in time had the best music and atmosphere, but it was super linear, there's little story and you never really meet the villain before the end. BIS had no spectacular music and a non-existant story but it had more interesting gameplay and Bowser was awesome this time around.Whoa hot damn, the easy final boss is easily made up for by an AWESOME bonus boss. That was a really pleasant surprise and it's hard as hell too (if you're not too overleveled). Dayum, this game is now my favorite of the series, the other ones had no extra end game content. If you like Superstar saga you will love this one. Now excuse me while I level a bit so I can beat this bastard…..
-
Finished up on Lego Harry Poter last night. Easy Plat lol. (not as easy as the joke that was God of War 1 and 2. It's pretty embarassing when Harry Potter is more challenging than that) But fun. Very fun. Still have no idea who half of the chars were tho XD
-
Managed to complete Creepy Castle but still missing the Cardboard K.Rool Boss, about 85 or 90 % done, but some stupid glitch in Project 64 fucked me up and now I'm stuck in the Creepy Castle boss portal. Oh well. It was fun while it lasted.
-
Because my friend is awesome, I woke up from my nap and find him downloading 2 PS1 games to my PS3 for free, since all he did was log into his account from my PS3 and re-downloaded the games he had already had.
The two games were Legacy of Kain: Soul Reaver, and MediEvil. I don't know how I went through my childhood with a PS1 and not these games, they're a ton of fun!
I'm liking MediEvil more though, particularly because it has a cheerier color scheme in contrast to the depressing one of Soul Reaver.
-
I decided to play Mario Kart Wii again. And, for the heck of it, I started playing online for the first time. God, I had totally forgotten how much I suck at this game XD
It might be enough to beat the game itself, but when it comes to OTHER players … yeah, it was a disaster alright, but so much fun! -
Just finished Shadow of the Beast, the PC Engine conversion. Heard the amiga version is legendary for how impossible it is. Well this one…..is prety insane as well. I mean, you gotta have the twitch insticts of a god not to get hit.
Had to resort to a longplay to know what to do, because it's confusing as hell though.
-
One of my weeaboo friends got me Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky for my birthday about two months ago; he had played the Japanese version and said it was one of the best RPGs in years. I thought the LoH games were supposed to be kinda lame, but this one seems alright so far.
Also playing Big Bang Mini on my DS. Holy cow what a cool bullet-hell game. My XL screen makes the visuals POP.
-
Legend of Heroes was the first RPG I got with my PSP. I enjoyed it to a certain point then realised I didn't actually care about any of the chars. (probably because it had you switching around every 2 seconds)
-
Hell yeah!!! I have finaly beaten God Hand on hard mode and I only died about 180 times, which is, quite frankly, far less than I expected.
-
Panorama Cotton for the Genesis and Keio Yuugekitai , my first Sega CD game.
-
Sly 3 for PS2, just beat Kirby super star Ultra (Got Marx soul by the skin of my teeth! A battle I shall remember!), and is now Acing it up on the Wright side of justice for the first time. Gameplay has plenty of issues, but I forget them all when I get that awesome music playing in the courtroom
-
Probably gonna continue with Panorama Cotton for the Genesis now.
Think the witch from Cotton in Space Harrier.
-
GASP. Disgaea 3 FINALLY got trophy support in the EU (ok maybe it's been a few months)
Time to grind to lvl 1 billion!
-
Just finished Panic ! on the Sega CD.
Real weird game, you just push buttons trying to get warped to the end gradualy, but alot of the time weird shit keeps on happening.
Like an elephant parachute or a sumo terminator showing up.
-
You don't need to grind to 1 billion, you just need to deal 1 billion damage in a single attack :P
…Seriously.
-
I realy get the feeling I could walk around naked and none of you guys would notice me :P
-
oh boy! That'll be fun!
Well I love the series. AND it keeps me from buying other games for a good while XD
-
I got platinum on Uncharted 2 a few weeks ago, but I still need to finish beating multi-player to get 100%. I'm also playing MVC3 and Soinc 1 from PSN I'm close to getting 100% on those too. I still have a lot of games on my backlogged list too.
-
Well, today I beat two assholes of games.
Barunba for the PC Engine/Rotating Gun Surprise Attack Martyrium and Penguin Adventure/4 levels stretched to 23 for the MSX
My neck hurts, again.
-
I've been finishing up Pokemon White, i'm now moving on to Dragon Quest: Chapters of the Chosen. Pretty good game, it's only the second DQ game i've ever played, after VIII.
-
Some GTAIV.

Has anyone played Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions? I really want to check it out but I heard it was short. Like, really short. I'm not about to fork over a bill for a game I can blow through in a day. Any thoughts?
