Crocodile just believes it to be in Alabasta since the Poneglyph itself is there, too. I would say though that it is rather unlikely that it is in Alabasta, seeing how the in Skypeia mentioned weapon "Poseidon" was actually at Fishman Island.

I don't want to Use anime as another example but…... Movie 8 I believe is also where Robin Mentions and Literay says that Pluton is Here.
I'm Sure with all those Reactions Robin had when Reading the Poneglyph at Alabasta and the reaction of Cobra was a easy give away which led Croc to be certain that Pluton is on Alabasta.

Well, Pluton wasn't BUILT at Alabasta, it was built at Water 7. And while I suppose that Pluton may have "landed" at Alabasta and never left, that would make it pretty difficult for Pluton to reappear in the story, as I seriously doubt that the Straw Hats will return to Alabasta, and Franky destroyed the original plans.

just as other people said..the expression "pluton of alabasta" is made in contrast with "poseidon of skypiea",is talking about the poneglyph with his location,not the ship itself..of course is a matter of interpretation.
That crocodile though that pluton was in alabasta it's a matter of fact,but we don't know if the rumor was right…poseidon wasn't in skypiea ..only robin knows the truth

This is the manga section, anime and movies don't prove shit over here.
So all you've got is that line from Robin (because Croc didn't know anything).
Which I guess gives Alabasta a decent chance of being the location of Pluton, but doesn't confirm anything.

On current arc, CC is an expert on massive destruction weapons, and massive destructions weapons have their own names on One Piece story: pluton, uranus, poseidon, the ancient weapons. We already know some few things about Pluton and Poseidon, but nothing about Uranus. Maybe CC is an expert on Uranus (or/and Pluton), and maybe his experiments or/and VP´s experiments 4 years ago are related to this weapon, and this arc is going to revel more things about void centruy. (I would like it).

Actually only the Ancient Weapons have names of gods. Sure they are mass-destruction based but there is still a difference. According to your post then it would be like Comparing the Sunny to Pluton and calling them equals.

If we were to split the three weapons and categorize them by the corresponding gods they are named after, Uranus is the sky, Posiedon is the sea, and Pluton is the underworld(maybe land?) now lets take into consideration the weapons anatomies. Pluton we know to be a Battleship( still no clue as to what type of ship or how it moves or functions) and Poseidon is a mermaid with the power if the Sea Kings. We know more about the latter than we do about the former, but if this were more a trend and related to gods domain in this way, then what if Uranus is a power based with the sky? And who even says that the ancient weapons arent capable of being revived? Im sure the government has a way of deciphering poneglyphs and maybe could do so. This is evident when Prof. Clover was speaking to the Elder Stars, who appear more than capable of understanding the gist of the Void Century, the ancient weapons and so on. Oh and hey lets throw this out there. Anyone remember Capone coming into the New World and he came across? Only speculating here but what if…

Who is talking about newer technology? Oda didnt do it in last chap, (unless i have miss it, in which case I would thank a correction). You can talk about what a weapon does (its purpose) and about its means and arts to do what it does. The expresion "mass murder weapon" refers to the effect not to the means, and aplies to every weapon that kill a massive amount of lifes, no matter if this is done using newer tech or not. In chapter 663, Smoker only says CC is a leading mass murder weapon expert, and in chap 664, he talks about a spreading poison weapon that may poison the whole island. Besides of that, a person can know a lot about newer tech and also about massive murder weapons and also about cooking.

So, to make the point again, this is just a possibililty: CC could tell us something about ancient weapons in next chaps.

I've had an idea. There are 3 super-weapons and Luffy has 2 big oppositions to becoming Pirate King, Blackbeard and the Marines. I'm predicting that the final conflict will have each side with its own super-weapon. Luffy would have Shirahoshi as an ally, so his is Poseidon. Blackbeard would probably end up with Uranus since it's the one we know least about.

The biggest problem with this theory is that this would leave the marines with Pluton, which should only be possible if someone was left to read the poneglyphs and willing to share the info with the marines. I think it's a possablity that someone in the government can read them, prehaps the members of the Gorosei. Being essentially the rulers of the world, they may be the only people allowed to learn it. Of course this brings up a plot hole for the "CP9 Saga," that they needed Nico Robin to translate. However, it's quite easy to accept that they wanted the to keep their knowledge a secret.

I can very easily imagine a cliffhanger for a chapter leading to the climax of the series being the marines invading Alabasta, arresting the royal family, ending with the Gorosei standing before the poneglyph.

Here's a quick thought. Many people think that Uranos has sth to do with sky island. What if Raftel is a (at least) flowting island, and the whole island is the weapon Uranos. It explains (well partially) why is so difficult to reach it, only one person (crew?) got there.

Anyway, the abillity to comunicate with the sea kings was part of the royal lineage, the supernovas seem to be nobodies that have nothing to relate to the Void Century.

If I think about it…

Pluton is a ship built by humans that can sink islands due to the extreme power of its weapons. Presumably, it can be mass produced. It is an instrument of 'death.' You can't really use it for anything other than combat or peace through fear.
Poseidon is a person in the Mermaid royal line that can command sea kings, who, as a group, have the power to sink islands. It's real threat is the sheer number of sea kings. It is an instrument of 'authority.' Their strength could be put to a variety of good uses, and it elevates Poseidon to the King of sea kings.

Uranos, in myth, was king of the universe before being deposed by his son. He was associated with the sky, and was also the father of many important enemies of the gods.

Going with his sky association, I'd say that the last ancient weapon would be a weather control device. Weather in One Piece can be nasty. Sending lightning rain over the Red Line and swells of burning tidal waves would probably make anyone think the world was ending. If we go with his progenitor theme, then he fathered the Titans, Cyclopes, Hekatonkhires, and Gigantes. So maybe the weapon's associated with the giants in some way? Maybe it's one of the gods worshiped in Elbaf? Maybe it's the reason for the bizarre weather in the Grand Line?

It's also very suspect that there isn't a Zeus. He's definitely the most famous of the Greek Gods... Also, that would have left the Moon-Tribes without an ancient weapon. Anyone else ever wonder how exactly Eneru managed to design, engineer and oversee the construction of a large floating ship powered by lightning? Or how the various ancient weapons were defeated? I mean... well, Pluton still exists, and Poseidon could die from old age... Uranos is presumably lost to history at the moment. Hm.

Well in my opinion it's not that necessary to do explain it. I am operating on the assumption that Raftel is the location of the
"Ancient Kongdom". In theory fits well:

• hard to reach, either by design (WG) or the geography/nature of the New World - to hide something more than outcome of a
  all out war;
• connected with lost history - Poneglyph explains the void century.

Iceburg thought of making W7 float, why such powerfull and much more technologically advanced country couldn't do it. Combine
with another idea Pluton (a powerful weapon), why not arm the island?

Considering we have no idea who or where Nami came from in terms of family, she could be connected with what you are describing as a "weather control device" weapon.

Pluton was a massive and powerful warship. We don't know for certain if it was in Alabasta, but at the very least, details to its location were. That's what was on the Poneglyph under the palace. Franky had the blueprints to build a NEW Pluton, presumably including information on the technology used in its construction, because Water Seven is where the original Pluton was created. So no. Pluton is not a special ability. It's an "effin huge battleship." In fact, before we knew anything about Poseidon, we assumed all the Ancient Weapons were just massive warships of some sort, and I think if you go back far enough, a few people thought they were nuclear weapons.

More importantly, think of the power to control the sea kings. Now think of a ship that can rival that power.

Yyyyyes. The original Battle Frankies. I forgot how many he ended up making (36?), but their purpose was to be powerful enough to defeat sea kings in combat. The last Battle Franky that was a ship, accomplished this, but it was against a single target. Presumably Pluton is powerful enough to defeat an army of sea kings… or at least put up a good enough fight that a battle between Pluton and Poseidon wouldn't be seen as one sided. Even if Pluton and Poseidon never confronted each other, they are put into the same 'category' and spoken of in a similar manner that would imply them to be equally dangerous to their enemies.

Another interesting fact:
Pluton is a ship that can destroy islands. The Navy has developed the Buster Call, a barrage from multiple warships that can do the same.
Poseidon commands the sea kings. The Navy uses special hulls on their ships to make them invisible to sea kings.

Is it possible the World Government is preparing for a second battle with the Ancient Weapons?

Well so far it appears that Oda is following the order of the solar system when he introduces the Ancient Weapons. He started with Pluton which would be the 9th planet of the solar system. Poseidon has been made to Neptun in the roman mythology…the 8th planet. The 7th would now be Uranus (german spelling).

I´m curious to see whether or not the third Ancient Weapon will in fact be named after it or not. Could be, could be not. Only Oda knows for sure!

That aside …
I noticed that explanations for Uranos only established that he is Father of the Sky, but further mythology connected to it becomes ambiguous trying to connect with OP world. Don't get me wrong, it was starting point for me too. As I read more and more about sons castrating... nothing new was there, but in process found something interesting... what are the planets meaning in astrology. Apparently Uranos is associated with new and unconventional ideas and beginings of industrial revolutionary changes. Not only but also pregressive ideas and in the societies relates to radical ideas (people) or events that shatter the "usual" order of the world.
As reading this only one come to mind, the entire story of OP is about this, especially this Ancient Kingdom. Personally, I think this might have sth to do with Dr. Clover report especially with words "...the key is this kingdom name", although right now this far fetched.

I actually find the astrology theme much more interesting than the greek/roman mythology theme (even though they are connected, both might as well apply). Not at all familiar with astrology, but after reading that post I googled about planets meaning and found some very interesting links, that fits very well with the OP universe and the ancient weapons in particular. This one I find best describing it, although they all says more or less the same, some goes more in-depth with the zodiac signs etc..

What I like about this theory is how well the themes represents the 'force' who will use it (just my conclusion of the theory, we haven't really much clues as to it will turn out.) At the top o the page there are two sections not hyperlinked, Planetary Associations and Things Governed By Planets. Both sections connects each planet/weapon to it's user very well.

Starting with Poseidon (or [Neptune](http://www.trans4mind.com/personal_development/astrology/LearningAstrology/theplanets.htm#o9 Neptune) in the planetary system) as we know most about it, it very much describe the incidents of FI.
It's described as the Planet of Illusions, also associated with dreams.
It says the keyword is refine, which fits both Queen Otohime's and Hody's causes. Otohime's good cause of refining everybody's mind from hatred amongst each other, Hody's cause of refining the world from humans.
Transcendence and delusion obviously fits the New Fishman Pirates very well, thinking of themselves as gods and a superior race. Not to mention the association with drug abuse.
Both Queen Otohime and Shirahoshi went as far as to sacrifice themselves, although Shirahoshi did it for her people rather than her ideals and got saved, while Otohime sacrificed herself for her ideals (and ultimately her people).
Pretty much everything in the governed section fits the theme of FI, and the qualities of Neptune, transcendence, higher faculties, psychic abilities, sensitivity does fit Shirahoshi nicely too.

…this took longer than I thought, mainly 'cause I've read and reread a lot to come to the conclusion, also changed my mind about some things in this theory. At first I had some thoughts about which civilisation used the weapons in void century, and who would use them in the final war. Now I don't really know, though I'm still using the astrology theory. Too tired to continue with a full analyse so i'll just haste through the rest.

Poseidon has the element of water, controlling the Sea Kings. Clues point pretty much to her being Luffy's weapon in the war.

Highly destructive power, maybe nuclear. It would fit WG due to the part of Plutos secret nature (Pluto's secrets are also secrets of the mind. Also the conflicts within WG that has only been touched, but I'm pretty sure will unfold much more later on.

Sort of the basics of the theory, checkout astrology for more deep analysis. Probably some fallbacks, many of the characteristics could very well fit to others, like Pluton and BB, with all the dark power in it, Uranus and Doflamingo with his chaos thinking. I've seen a few theories about Enel and Uranus and some stuff actually struck to me as him joining the Revolutionaries, being the description of Uranus linking to both of them.. but I don't find that thought very plausible. If the weapons would actually be divided to three factions, I'd go for the ones stated above. Mainly because the final arc will most likely be a big all out war with WG, Revolutionaries and pirates clashing. Luffy will in my mind already have defeated BB before that and go to war as Pirate King.

Another issue with this theory is the whereabouts of Pluton, leading to another theory. Luffy (or at least Robin) knows about Poseidon, Robin knows about Pluton and will most likely find out about Uranus. Also, though I'm not sure of this, but if Franky did memorise the blue prints of Pluton he could build another one as well, though i doubt that. Point is, Luffy might actually get two of them, perhaps even three. I can somewhat see that happen, considering the sheer amount of military the WG is probably building up now under Aikanu's regime and BB collecting every Devil Fruit he can find. Perhaps Luffy and his allies need all of those weapons to actually stand a chance?

…ok, didn't haste that much after all, though I did have more on my mind at the beginning. But now I'm actually just leaning toward the weapons being based on astrology rather than gods, or a mix of both. Not at all certain about any conclusion anymore :) As how it should be, I enjoy much more when I'm surprised so even if there is some substance to these theories, i do hope (and know) Oda would go at it in another direction. But a discussion just for the fun of it would be cool anyway. Peace out!

I like it the theory of Uranus, it fits well maybe the revolutionaries already have control of it and that's why they are feared by the government so much. And maybe robin helped with this in some way over the 2 year skip. And has some knowledge of all three weapons now.

I believe the Ancient Weapon Pluton might require an especific Devil Fruit to work as intended, or several… Like, whats better than having a huge uber-powerful cannon? A huge uber-powerful cannon that ate a pterodactyl DF! :ninja: the possibilities..

Quick theories I don't think have been touched upon: As for the nature of the weapon Uranos, I don't think it's one particular DF, think it's the concept of the fruits themselves. 'Devil Fruit' is just what people call them. I think Vegapunk has discovered this which is why he can manipulate them so well.

As for the Pluton, we know it's battleship technology that Franky has utilized but think we may see the original in the story later.

Because Oda is such a master plotter it's always puzzled me why he did a cover story on Gedatsu which was cute but never really tied in to anything the way all the others have. So my reasoning is Gedatsu digging hot pools in Alabasta + Pluton kind of implying it's related to the underground + The ponyglyph saying Pluton is located in Alabasta = Gedatsu will accidently dig up the Pluton for Vivi.

And think both of them tie in to the Jewel Tree Eve which works as a lens to bring daylight to Fishman Island. You know what else needs a lens? Big #&$% off laser beams.

We all know that coverstories are pretty much important to the story. Every characters who got his own coverstory came back to the story with differents purpose. Buggy, Ace, Mr2, Crocodile, Mr3, Jango, Hachi, Coby, Helmeppo. Some of them have yet to make their come back, but it's a matter of time.

Now about Gedatsu. What could he do? Why such a random character got his own coverstory? Its been a while now, yet nothing happened? Seems weird to me.

You all know about Pluton. Crocodile knew that Pluton was located in Alabasta (how the hell he knows is still a mystery), and according to Cobra and Robin, it is safe to assume that Pluton is indeed located in Alabasta.

So… where the hell is Pluton? An huge warship...that is not found since about 900 years??

According to Robin, ancient weapon's names share the names of Gods.

Poseidon= god of the sea
Uranis= god of the sky
Pluton (or Hades) = god of the underground

Well, yea. Underground. That's the key word.

Where should we look for? underground in One Piece?

In short, Pluton as a name is related to the underground. Underground in One Piece can be found in Gedatsu's coverstory and this coverstory is related to Alabasta where Pluton should be located.

So my theory is this: I think that Gedatsu will accidentaly discover Pluton while digging in the underground of Alabasta. Which mean, I think that Pluton is hidden in the underground.
I'm not saying that Gedatsu will own Pluton, obviously. Lof of stuff can happen from the moment Pluton is discovered and known around the world.

Uranus is very obviously a place. Pluton is a thing (a massive warship), Poseidon is a person (Passed down, currently Shirahoshi), so logically, Uranus has to be a place. Most likely? The Lost Kingdom that Clover described, which is probably on or near Raftel.

Yes, it's coincidence. Don't read or know any other forums & the only place ever posted a theory is on the OP TV Tropes WMG. Would have posted earlier but having sign in/ posting issues with the forum, though from the link I didn't come up with it before you.

As to why no one else has, don't know but the current Caribou story made me reread all the cover issues and Gedatsu really does stand out nowWalpol steel has become important to the storyline.

I'm starting to feel that Uranus has everything to do with Devil Fruits and their powers.

After rereading One Piece, I found it interesting that Chopper was able to change forms by altering the "wavelengths" produced from his devil fruit ability. I think what's happening is that the "Uranus" weapon is broadcasting a signal that the devil fruits coordinate with. Going off of that, I speculate that what devil fruits do is allow the body of the devil fruit user to pick up the signal/energy from Uranus. The sea/karoseki blocks the signal from the user, causing the loss of power they experience.

This would also help explain why two devil fruits can't coexist in a body normally: the signals interfere with each other, causing too much power build up, and thus the person explodes (though Teach may be an exception).

This would also tie into the Posiedon/Pluton/Uranus = sea/surface/air idea of the three great weapons (df signal is in the air like radio waves), as well as a link to Nature(Sea Kings)/Technology(Ultimate Ship)/Magic(devil fruit powers).
