Alright, time to order the last couple of volumes + a new colour walk on CD Japan. I missed these
I suppose it will include stuff up to the end of Zou, in 4/2016. It seems a nice timeframe, considering the last one (Tyrannosaurus) ran up to the end of Punk Hazard and they usually cover periods of 2-3 years. -
Nice!! Can't wait for the English Viz hardcover versions to come out! Hopefully they release 9 soon too, so we can get this a 7+8+9 hardcover combo book!!

I'd be really happy if I forgot or missed one color walk, because that would mean that I'd get to see them both for the first time soon.
Last time I took my sweet time to get Tyranosaur expecting it to get to a easier platform to buy than CdJapan. I'm not making that mistake again.

They are the artbooks of one piece, escentially they compile all color work made by oda in a span of time. They usually include some extra sketches and interviews.

They've only announced the first hardcover containing the first three, right? I wouldnt get my hopes up for any more any time soon.

They've announced a second one, but you're right, there is no release date yet, probably not til early 2019 or something

According to the preview in OP 28th Log today, Color Walk Wolf will contain more than 80 illustrations from 2013 to 2016. It's not revealed yet whom Oda talks with in the interview.

Checked Tyrannosaur, and it goes up to vol 70, so this one should go up to 80, meaning only Dressrosa.

[/hide]Here is my translation for Oda's comment about his color spreads in Color Walk 8. Oda commented about other color spreads as well.Oda: Editor Sugita requested me to draw this color spread. Come to think of it, I/Straw Hats have come this far..
Oda: It was natural for me to drew this color spread since I loved watching foreign Zombie dramas at that time.
Oda: Kung fu films were popular when I was a kid. I suppose Zoro or Sanji gets killed by evil Franky army.
Luffy and Co. learn new martial art from Usopp Roshi. Revenge evil Franly with your ultimate technique called "Fire Dragon Kick", Luffy!!
Oda: I drew this color spread in a hospital room to take my tonsils. ONE PIECE was on break.
The light in the hospital room was different from that of my studio, so characters' skin colors in the color spread are a bit different from my usual drawings.
It had been a long time since I spent so much time on drawing one illustration.
Oda: Does this restaurant offer Ohagi, Japanese sweets? Nope. Look at the color spread closely. (You can see a signboard saying "γγγ―γ.")γ
Actually it offers "Oihagi" (γγγ―γ), not Ohagi (γγ―γ). (Oihagi means burglar/thief in Japanese.)
All characters in this color spread are going to be robbed of everything they have by Burglar Nami.
*Sadly, Color Walk 8 doesn't include prototype illustrations which can be found in other Color Walksβ¦:sad:

Oh, I don't mean spreading them online or anything. I meant opening the pages up fully to reveal whatever's in the middle, causing the spine to irreparably crease.
