TRUE BLISS

Business as usual in Israel

Feels bad to be right.
Russia denies. It needs a proper and full confirmation first. And then we'll see how NATO plays it. The adequate retaliation shouldn't be a full scale war over 2 dead. But anyway, I'm looking forward to how it goes obviously.

According to western outlets:
Iran's is to retire the morality policeFrom people in Iran, it's pointing that this still in the might phase of action, as was proposed for the Attorney General. What could happened is that the Morality Polices would still exist but there wouldn't be a morality police patrolling the streets.
If things end this way, I will only show that protesting in what the West Garden calls autocracies gets more results than the protests in the US-EU "democracies".
-
But will they really retire it or is it just getting people to shut up?
-
Two different and unrelated news today:
Indonesia bans premarital sex
and
Another use of lawfare in LATAM, this time in Argentina -
-
We all knew it wouldn't. It won't be removed until the government falls.
-
How can it get worse than this?

Dunno but the Canadian gov't nudging their "unwanted people" into assisted suicide sure wasn't in the Doomsday Bingo I had.
-
Well they at least seem to be usually polite about it.

Coup in progress in Peru. Vargas-Llosa must be happy.
https://kawsachunnews.com/breaking-president-pedro-castillo-arrested -
The update I read on Rawstory mentioned nothing about an arrest.
But that aside this whole situation sounds messy as fuck.
-
And I thought Israel and British Parliament was a mess.
-
Police had killed 7 people already in protests against the right wing coup in Peru. Don't think I will see the media from the "civilized world" condemning it.

@pariston_hill What is this exactly ?
-
@Nilitch Mass starvation and mercury poisoning in Yanomami territory in Roraima. 570 children dead in 4 years. The area nested with illegal mining and traffic, and Bozo's gov't denied 21 call for help to the villages.
-
Special place in hell reserved for the ones responsible for this.

You haven't been doing great, Uganda, now you're doing worse.

Don’t know if this world politics so I’ll stick it in both

CHILE is absolutely fucked.
There was an election to choose the 51 representatives of a Constituent Assembly, since the draft of the first one was reject by plebiscite.
José "My Father was a Nazi" Kast's party won 22 seats, Boric's got 17 and the other center right party got 11. With this, the right wing has 2/3 of the seats an the ability to pass whatever they wish.
Boric's approach of following the US Democratic Party guidelines of neoliberalism on the economy, and palliative identity politics was an utter failure. -
Yo!
Ecuadorian president Lasso dissolved the congress and called for elections to avoid impeachment. His party has only 12/137 seats and couldn't bar it. -
Bold Strategy let’s see if it pays off
-
@Time-Control-Magician this constitution is less coup prone than the peruvian, by doing so he also resigned the chair. But it seems that the supreme court will keep the impeachment process.
Speaking of Peru, their Supreme Court ruled that protesting is a crime.

Any military intervention in Niger to restore deposed President Mohamed Bazoum would be considered a "declaration of war against Burkina Faso and Mali", the two countries said in a joint statement Monday.
Macron threatened and they rose the ante.
-
Oh no, not the military juggernaut known as Burkina Faso.

It appears that it was set to be announced at the end of the conference that Argentina, Iran, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia, Emirates and Egypt would be joining BRICS.
But it appears that the IMF noose made Argentina chicken out. -
Surprise development Indonesia is out this time, Ethiopia in. And Argentina stays.
